Chloe's POV

This week was bizarre. I have been ignoring him for the past few days and every time it just gets harder. I just am not able to convince myself to gather the courage to face him. It's awkward because first he's my boss and second, we do not have any relationship other than being professional colleagues. And that kiss made everything more complicated.

I wanted to talk about this to someone as soon as possible but that one person whom I talk to isn't available at the moment. Claire had some work regarding her new project because of which she's been busy the entire week and I don't want to disturb her. Obviously if I tell her that I kissed my boss she'd lose it and cancel all her work for me but I don't want to divert her attention, for now at least.

But I had to distract myself as well and for that, the lunch date I planned with Austin came to my mind. At the moment he's the best escape mechanism. Because I couldn't hangout with him last weekend we again planned our date, well not a date but a simple lunch together.

He insisted on picking me up but I already felt bad enough after canceling my plan, so I asked him not to pick me up, even though he wasn't mad at all. Also because he sent me the address of a restaurant that I haven't been to, I was pretty excited to meet him.

It was a bright sunny day. I wore a white cropped tank top and sky blue baggy jeans with my frost white sneakers. It was a hot day and comfy clothing is all I prefer. I got ready soon and Austin sent me the location of the place which wasn't very far from my place. After getting ready, I quickly picked up my car keys leaving the house.

I've always had a special love for cars and it was a major reason why I learnt how to drive. Being able to drive your own car made me feel independent and more confident which is something every person should develop in their personality. Working at a young age surely helped me grow as a human and also committed to leading a life on my own, making decisions.

Obviously every choice you make doesn't always benefit you but these little mistakes help us become a better version of ourselves which is growth on it's own. It's a way through which you get to know what you truly are made for, your true interest, which shapes your personality according to your priorities.

And it all takes a little courage and patience to make your life something you want it to be.

Tracking the location I reached a beautiful restaurant which seemed sort of traditional, that old vibe made it stand out more than usual places. It wasn't long when I saw Austin standing outside the entrance door. He was wearing a white t-shirt and denim jacket with black jeans and sneakers. Can't ignore the fact that his radiant smile can put anyone in a better mood and he looked so cute.

I parked my car and as he saw me moving towards him, he tilted his head smiling a little. He was glowing in the sunlight and his beautiful brown locks just added onto his handsome looks. A smile automatically comes to my face when I see him.

"Hello ma'am." he said, bowing, making me chuckle.

"Hello sir." I said I was copying his actions.

He then opened the door for me and said "please ma'am." I laughed and walked inside.

The place had an old aesthetically pleasing vibe. The walls were dark brown and even then the place was glowing and the aroma of amazing food just made it even better. I smiled, inhaling the natural scent of the place when Austin tapped my shoulder gesturing me towards the corner table. We got seated and he ordered the food because I had no idea about the food, while he claimed to be an expert.

"If I don't like the food, be ready to be hit by a plate." I said folding my arms sitting back.

"Oh damn." He said, acting shocked.

"Yes, I'm very particular and possessive about my food." I said.

"Possessive?" He asked, raising his eyebrows.

"Yes, possessive." I nodded.

"Wow, I feel threatened." He said, shaking his head.

"As you should!" I said and he chuckled.

"You're too pretty, I wouldn't mind being hit by you." He said, smiling.

I looked away, blushing a little. But when I heard him chuckle, I shook my head throwing the placemat at his face.

"Oh well, do you like this place?" He asked, leaning forward.

"Yes I do! It's really pretty and has that old traditional vibe." I said keeping my arms on the table.

"You know, this is my uncle's restaurant." He said, smiling.

"Woah really? That's so cool." I said, looking around.

"Yeah, my dad's side is Italian so I get to experience the culture closely." He said.

"Damn! So, do you come to this place often?" I asked, raising my eyebrows.

He smiled at my question and looked away. I got confused and recalled my sentence identifying if I said something wrong that made him smile. I furrowed my eyebrows but even after giving it a major thought, I couldn't understand why he smiled so I decided to ask him.

"Did I umm, say something wrong?" I said, in a doubtful tone.

"Nah. It's just that you're the first person who didn't ask me 'can you speak Italian?' as soon as you get to know I'm half Italian." He said, chuckling.

"I mean, I can ask that now." I said laughing.

"Oh please no!" He said, shaking his head.

"Can you speak Italian? Can you say something in that language?" I asked, chuckling.

"Chloe, please no." He said, shaking his head, making me laugh more.

While we talked more, our food got served and I was satisfied without even tasting it. The rich texture of the pasta looked so delicious, like a whole palette of flavours. I couldn't even wait to dig on. And as I imagined, the food just gave my taste buds pleasure. Everything about it was so perfectly cooked and I couldn't appreciate it in mere words.

"That was so good!" I said, raising my eyebrows.

"Not more than you though." He said, leaning forward, resting his face in his palms.

I raised my left brow at him and he chuckled.

"I can't help but flirt with a gorgeous girl like you." He said, shrugging his shoulders.

"You only know how to flirt, right?" I said, narrowing my eyes.

"No, I know many other things. Like umm cooking, skateboarding, playing guitar." He said counting his fingers.

But I cut him off in the middle, "what? you play guitar!" I said in shock.

"Yes I do! I was also a part of our school band." he said, feeling proud of himself.

"That's just fantastic. Will you teach me as well? Just a little." I asked, tilting my head smiling.

"Trust me if you make that face, any guy would do anything for you, without even hesitating once." He said, keeping his hand on his heart, acting dramatic.

"Oh really? Any guy?" I asked, raising my left brow.

"Yes, I'm any guy." He nodded, making me laugh.

"Well, how is it going with the stone face?" he asked, referring to Mr. Valentino.

I almost choked on my drink. Mr. Valentino's face came to my mind. I still remember his face being inches away from me, crystal clear. Can't forget how I made out with him after a few seconds of that staring. It feels weird just to think about it. 'Oh Austin! I wish I could tell you how's it going with him.' I thought to myself.

"Nothing much. Just the same everyday." I said looking down at my drink.

"Is it really the same everyday, Chloe?" A voice came which surely wasn't Austin's. I looked up and saw two familiar brown eyes staring at me.

My eyes went wide when I saw him sitting in front of me, with a gorgeous smile on his face as he rested his face in his right palm. My heartbeat felt like a hammer in my chest and slowly I could feel it in every part of my body. Even though I was feeling nervous I just couldn't take my eyes off him.

Slowly his smile faded and his eyes became a darker shade of brown. He got up and came towards me, making me stand up. His fingers slowly slid under my earlobe as he pulled me closer to his face, placing his lips next to mine kissing me.

A sudden rush in my stomach and that ticklish sensation all over could be felt as I responded to his touch. Chills went down my spine as he slid his freed hand around my waist leaning forward. My hips touched the table as I shifted back while our lips never left each other's.

He tilted his head, sucking on my lip while his grip on my waist tightened. He was strong but he still handled me with so much delicacy. I enjoyed his touch and the fact that I was in his arms made me smile. The strong scent of his cologne made him even more addicting.

His lips left mine for a second and he looked at me as he took a breath. The next thing he did was make me sit on the table which made his face come closer to mine. He bent a little, slowly tucking a strand of my hair behind my ear. I blushed and looked away but he held my cheeks making me face him again as he kissed me.

He traveled down my neck, biting gently on my skin giving me goosebumps. His grip on my waist again became tight and my hands went up his soft hair. I threw my head back taking pleasure being under his touch, while his lips explored my skin.

He sucked harder and the pain got even sweeter. My breath was uneasy and I wanted more of him, I was becoming greedy. He got back, not leaving my body but looking deeply into my eyes. His chest moved up and down as he looked at me. Sexy.

He then asked, "should I keep kissing you?"

I raised my eyebrows and nodded immediately. He smiled and then said, "Chloe."

"Yeah?" I said, almost getting lost in his eyes.

"Chloe." He again said, with his beautiful smile.

"Christian." I said, blushing.

"CHLOE?" Austin almost shouted.

"What?!" I said, shaking my head coming back to reality.

"What happened to you?" He asked, looking genuinely concerned.

"Huh, nothing. I'm good." I said, though I was still startled.

Did I just have a steamy imagination about my boss? CHLOE WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU??????

This was it for this chapter.

So tell me, did you like Austin? Because I surely did!
