hxjiejsw man i have so many drafts that I aint published but never mind ( like 13, including another round of unpopular opinions because I love losing friends and pissing people off, much love )
but I was watching videos on YouTube ( because I'm sad and I want to do things that make laurie happy not sad ) and i was thinking about the impact of celebrities.
So YUNGBLOOD is one of my favourite artists not just for his songs and his styles but for what he's indirectly down for me.
like, as a 15 year old boy who lives in a homophobic area it's just so refreshing and lovely to see a guy who's open and 'fluid' (those are quote marks) about his sexuality succeed and be loved? like Harry styles has mentioned many times he doesn't like labels and Troye Sivan? Matt Fishel? Fucking love them.
YUNGBLUD goes about with wacky hair and wacky clothes and painted nails and skirts and lyrics like 'I fcked my best friend' and it's so good to see that because it's like 'I'm not a freak, if yungblud can prance about happy, like he owns the world with fancy clothes and half pink hair then I can too'
And i don't know where this came from ( an offhand homophobic comment from my family oops my finger slipped ) but I just wanted to put that out there. it's just pretty validating? seeing queer or not super macho, masculine male celebrities make it out there? m w a h seeing celebrities from rough backgrounds making it? m w a h
and all that
ok bye have a good day or evening luvs
