A B U * * *
"What?" I asked.
"Where were you?" Nayeon said, her arms crossed. "I texted you like a million times!"
I sighed. "I'm sorry. I was at a movie with my friend."
"Who? A girl?" Nayeon scoffed.
I rolled my eyes. "Yeah, Tzuyu."
"Tyuzu? She's gay, isn't she?" Nayeon stepped closer to me.
I back away. "Um, no, she's not. And I'm dating you! I would never flirt with someone else!"
Nayeon sighed. "It doesn't matter! She's a girl!"
I laughed bitterly. "She's my best friend. Has been for years. I don't like her like I like you."
Nayeon scoffed. "Not yet."
"Are you accusing me of cheating?!?" I yelled.
"Maybe!" Nayeon screamed back.
I backed down. "I don't want to fight with you." I hesitated, I knew I was making the wrong choice, but I made it anyway. "I'll stop hanging out with other girls."
". . . And . . ?"
I sighed. "And respond to your texts."
She smiled. "Yay!" She grabbed my checks and kissed my forehead.
I sunk down onto the couch. My phone buzzed next to me. I picked it up to see two messages from Tyuzu.
