Xavier shoved me playfully as I dropped my bags on the floor. After living a year in the freshman dorm in the universities, I finally was able to come live in with Xavier and Linda. I wasn’t really happy about it but after mom had baby Adrian, I rather be with Xavier than a crying baby.

“Tell me again why she had to come live with us?” Xavier teased me, asking Linda.

Linda glared at him, pushing him out of her way. “Julie came to live with us because we said it would be fun, now if you don’t have anything good to say about it, keep your mouth shut.” She snapped at him, giving him a sly smirk.

Not much has happened since I confessed to Alejandro I was in love with him. After my mom got married again, he went back to Arianna. A couple months later they moved back and they have a condo together. I see him every now and then when we bump into each other at the campus, other than that he likes the attention I give him when he ignores me.

Now I understood why he had anger fits with me, it’s a pain in the ass trying to make him love me back. We know we love each other but he says he wants me to beg for him, but he seemed to forget who I was. Just because we weren’t in any game anymore, I still had games up my sleeve.

“Ale needs to stop being an ass and let you move in with him.” Xavier said, snapping me out of my thoughts.

I snarled at him. “He lives with Arianna, and what makes you think I want to move in with him?”

Linda smacked him upside the head. “Ale loves her, but he wants to play hard to get, when Julie gets tired of chasing him that’s when he’ll want her,” She defended me. She grabbed my bags and threw them at Xavier. “Now stop instigating and put these in her room!” She ordered him.

Xavier rolled his eyes doing what he was told. Linda and him moved in last year, Xavier decided to do the next step in his life and move in with a girl. The girls just happened to be Linda, and from what he told me he was in love with her. Honestly looking back at everything, I was proud of him. He finally found someone he wanted to fight for. Linda was perfect for him, because her smart-ness and his playfulness somehow balanced each other out.

She sat next to be by the stairs, giving me a warmful smile. “He’ll eventually come around, Alejandro, he’ll stop playing these teasing games and he’ll make you happy.” She reassured me.

This was what made me laugh, I wasn’t sad that Ale wasn’t paying attention, or if he didn’t live with me. He was happy and that’s all I cared. Sometimes I hate to see him with the red-headed bimbo but he smiles, and laughs like he never did with me.

“Eventually, he will,” I said standing up. “I’ll go set up, thank you by the way,” I told her as I walked up the stairs.

Xavier was standing at the end of the hall, he was closing the wooden door behind him as I made my way towards him. He wiggled his eyebrows at me when he saw me.

“You don’t look happy,” He said quietly.

“I’m tired, and for the first time in years I feel as if I am at home.” I spoke out truthfully.

I couldn’t remember the last time I felt safe and at home. The past three years I been all over, Spain and home, over and over, it only made me feel as if I didn’t have a home. So being here in a calm, quiet house it made things comfortable for me.

Xavier gave me a bear hug, kissing me on my forehead. “I can take care of you again.” He smiled proudly to himself.

I rolled my eyes at him. “You should take care of Linda.” I murmured, closing my eyes.

“I can take care of my queen and princess,” He argued. “Either way, the calmness in this house will eventually fade.”

“Why do you say that?” I asked looking up at him.

He chuckled. “The crew is back,” He simply said. “When we are all together nothing is calm, it’s just plain drama.” He sang.

As much as I wanted to deny that, he was right. When we were all together we would just get into trouble and start drama. Maybe after these three years we changed, we could act more mature. Everyone was doing their own thing anyways. Demi and Enrique moved in together and sooner or later they would be wedding bells ringing. Control and Olive both began working already and they bought a house, and Gabriela was living by herself, but the last time we spoke she was seeing a guy from school. I was the only one was doing the same, and it would probably stay like that for a while.

“You don’t make me feel any better.” I rouse an eyebrow at him.

He smiled cheerfully. “Than my job here is done!” He let go of me and he walked down the stairs.

Jerk.

I went inside my master bedroom; Linda had said the house had three master bedrooms, and two guests’ rooms. She had arranged for me to get the second biggest room in the house, just so I could feel more comfortable. The room was pretty big, it had a bathroom with a walk in closest, there was a king size bed in the middle, and she had painted the walls a light cream color.

Linda had gone shopping and bought me a new set of sheets for my bed, and she had left a welcome home gift. It was a brand new plasma television, I groan quietly. She knew I didn’t like it when she spoiled me. Linda was acted like my mother, ever since I came back from Spain, she and I became closer. She was always on my side even if I was wrong.

I unpacked placing my clothes in the closest, and some in the drawers. At the bottom of the cardboard box there was a picture of Ale and Mindy at her wedding. It had been so long since I had visited her grave, I wondered if she would be happy how everything turned out. I never actually gave up on her promise, and I wasn’t planning to break it anytime soon. I placed her picture on my nightstand, smiling at it.

After I was done unpacking I went downstairs only to fine Linda and Xavier hardcore making out on the couch. I twisted my mouth in agony, and the torture began. Xavier looked up at me smiling evilly, he was just doing this on purpose.

“You’ll get used to it.” He confessed.

I blinked a couple of times. “I don’t think I will. I’m going out okay that should give you two enough time to do whatever you have to.” I quickly said grabbing my keys and purse from the counter.

“I’m sorry.” Linda screamed at me.

“It’s fine!” I shouted back, closing the door behind me.

It took me awhile to decide where I wanted to go, but I decided to take a trip the shopping center. I needed to buy food for us, knowing Linda the cabinets would be full of food, but I was craving ice-cream and strawberries.

I was walking down the frozen dairy section looking for the Ben&Jerry’s ice cream section, when I slammed my body against a pole. I landed on my butt with a thud; I groaned cursing quietly to myself.

“Damn, Julie are you okay?” I heard a similar voice.

I looked up to see Alejandro hovering over me. He helped me get up from the ground, he was carrying a basket in his arm, and it was filled with wine and beer. He and Arianna must be having a “romantic” night, just thinking about made my stomach twist in disgust.

“Shit Ale, stop growing muscles.” I growled rubbing my butt.

He chuckled. “Watch out where you are going, you could hurt someone with your boney self,” He mocked me.

I glared at him. “Fuck you.” I whispered.

Suddenly he wrapped his arms around me giving me a tight hug. “Don’t get so booty hurt Julie!” He said. “You know I love you!”

I pushed him away from me. “Right.”

“You-“

“Oh there you are babe.” I heard her irritating voice.

I turned behind me to see Arianna walking towards us, she was holding a bottle of whip cream in her hand. When our eyes met I felt as the air dense up, these were the moments I wished I could hurt her more than anything. She walked up to Ale putting the bottle in the basket.

“Hey Juliana, long time since I seen you.” She smiled at me.

“I saw you yesterday, your “accidently” stepped on me,” I said monotonously.

She shrugged pretending to remember if what I was saying was true. “I’m sorry I don’t remember.”

“Of course not.” I whispered to myself.

She wrapped her arm around Ale waist smiling at him. He gave her s smile putting his attention back to me.

“Well I guess ill see you around,” I told him.

He nodded. “Yeah, I’ll see you.”

Arianna looked at me. “Today Ale and I turn two years together you should come celebrate with us.” She offered.

I shook my head. “No thank you, I came to grab some stuff, I need to be somewhere in an hour.” I lied to them.

Arianna nodded. “Next time then.” She responded.

I watched as they walked away turning to their left, I flicked her off, making a bog scene. I hate her with all my guts, I wanted to grab the cherry jars next to her and smash them in her face, that way her face would be the same color as her hair!

I grabbed the chocolate fudge ice cream, the strawberries, and the whip cream, running towards the register and leaving before I lost my mind. When I got home, all the lights were off, and I could hear the faint snore of Xavier.

Dropping my bag and keys on the counter I walked into the kitchen. I popped off the ice cream lid and grabbed a steel spoon from the basket and began shoving spoonful of ice-cream in my mouth. I secretly felt depressed; there wasn’t anything good about my life. The stupid game had managed to mest up my life more than it needed to, and now I couldn’t do anything about it.

“I have never seen a girl eat ice cream like that.” I low voice said. Quickly I jumped off the counter grabbing tightly onto the steel spoon. The lights flickered on and a shirtless guy stood against the door.

He looked at me amusedly. “Who in the hell are you?” I shouted freaking out completely.

“Aren’t I supposed to be asking you that?” He asked me, confused.

“No! I live here.” I spat out clearly.

He laughed. “I do too.”

I lowered down my spoon and gave him a look. He lived here? Linda nor Xavier mentioned anything about a guy living with them. I thought I was the only one that lived here. He walked past me and grabbed the whip cream and poured some in his mouth.

“You know you eat ice cream like a girl going through their period.” He said, picking out a strawberry.

I frowned at him. “Those are mine,” I stated.

He looked at the strawberry than at me, before shoving it in his mouth. “You shouldn’t really eat ice cream at this time, it’ll go down to your ass and it’ll get big.”

My mouth dropped when he said that, how could he speak to me like that. Didn’t he care about my feelings yet, better yet who in the hell was this guy. When he grabbed another strawberry I snatched it from his hand and moved it to the other side of the kitchen.

“Who in the hell are you?” I asked him again.

“Samuel, who are you?”

“Juliana.” I responded.

He hit his head lightly. “Xavier younger sister, right?” He questioned me.

I nodded. “Are you just a random guy that rents a room?” I questioned him oddly.

“No, I’m Linda’s cousin. I thought they told you I lived here,” He shrugged, snatching my ice cream container away from me.

“Hey…” I ran after him trying to take it back. “That’s not nice!”

He put the container in the air, laughing at me as I tried to take it away from him. He was an Alejandro number two, he picked on me the same way he did. Why did this keep happening to me, when would I finally met a nice innocent guy, who doesn’t still my ice cream?

He took a spoonful of ice cream before giving it back to me. “Like I said you shouldn’t eat a lot of it, it’s not good for you.”

I ignored him and sat back onto the counter eating my ice cream as peacefully as I could. I thought maybe eventually he would get bored and leave me in peace but I was wrong. He stayed there, watching me as I ate my ice-cream as if he never saw a girl eat a full container of ice cream before.

“Okay, you win, but please give me that ice-cream before you over dose on it!” He exclaimed taking it away from me.

“You should mind your own business and leave me in peace!” I blurted out angrily. “I’m trying to be depressed alone!

“I see that but I rather sit here and figure out what’s wrong with you instead of seeing you eat like a savage.” He responded, jumping onto of the counter. He fluttered his eyelashes, putting his hands underneath his cheeks. “I’m ready tell me what’s wrong.”

I giggled. “You’re weird.” I told him.

“The girl who ate an entire container of ice cream.” He teased me.

I pushed him a little. “How do you deal with your depression, huh?”

“I’m a guy, I don’t get depressed.” He said seriously.

I face-palmed myself, I literally was surrounded by pure idiots. I jumped off the counter sighing to myself. I was exhausted and I need sleep. That’s why I felt like crap, after sleeping a couple of hours I would feel better.

When I began to walk away, this weird feeling emerge from my stomach. It made a funny sound and before I could understand was happening I felt everything come up. I ran down the hall to the small restroom. I made it just in time to hurl right in the toilet.

Samuel walked inside the restroom taking a hold f my hair, he pushed it out of my way. “I told you not to eat so much ice cream.” He muttered.

I wiped the vomit off my mouth, sighing. “You said not to eat ice-cream because it would go to my ass!” I corrected him.

“Same thing, you still caught sick,” He said, rubbing my back.

I chuckled to myself, I had met a complete idiot, but little did I know what life had in store for us.
