Jaemin expected the night to go easy, he leaves the house to get away from his brother's sex life and goes on a walk. He did not expect to be sitting next to Jeno as the two of them watch Jisung and Taeil talk. Jaemin would have gone home, if he had not told Taeil that he could stay at Jaemin's house. They had an extra guest room, so it wouldn't be cramped. Jeno would also have gone home, but Jisung was staying at his house for the night and he couldn't leave the young boy all alone out here. So there the two sat, not talking and just ignoring each other. Jaemin was listening to his music and Jeno was looking up at the sky.
"Either turn your music down or I'm throwing your airpods away." Jeno says, still looking at the stars. Jaemin chuckles to himself before taking the two earbuds out and putting them away.
Another moment of silence follows before Jeno speaks again. He didn't know why he was talking, yet here he was.
"Why're you out here anyways. Most kids don't take walks in the park at 3 am."
Jaemin laughs nervously. "Oh uh...just wanted to get out of the house..."
Jeno side-eyes him and raises an eyebrow. "At this hour?"
"I mean...I would tell you, but I don't think it's something people would like to know." Jaemin states, now also looking up at the stars. "It's not personal, just annoying." He cringes, thinking back to his brother and Jaehyun, who were probably asleep now, after their...workout...
Jeno rolls his eyes but says nothing more, he didn't even care that much anyways.
"Jaemin? Thank you again for letting me stay until I'm back on my feet." Taeil says, walking over.
The younger smiles. "Of course hyung. We have more than enough room." He then turns to Jisung, who walked over as well. "And if you ever want to see your brother, you can always come over Jisung. I know we aren't that close, but it's the least I can do...as a thanks." Jisung smiles and nods, understanding what the older boy meant. Jeno and Jaemin stand, and the four head out of the park.

Uh so this guy named Taeil is gonna be staying at our house for a while..

Jaemin laughs when he sees his message left on read. He turns to Taeil, smiling. "Let's go. Apparently you know my older brother."

Jaemin comes into school with bags under his eyes and prominent bed head. He almost fell asleep during first period. Thankfully he didn't because Renjun kept him awake by poking his arm with a pencil. He did, however, fall asleep during lunch. He had stayed in his classroom and eventually just fell asleep at his desk. Fortunately, he also had his math class there, so he didn't need to worry about moving.
Jeno enters the room to find Jaemin passed out and rolls his eyes before plopping down next to the boy. They had 3 more days for their project, which meant 3 more days working and sitting together. The boy sighs and takes out their worksheet and graphing paper as the rest of the class come in.
Jeno was planning on taking "lightly" hitting Jaemin on the head to wake him up...but his "soulmate instincts" told him otherwise. Jeno hated his instincts, they were stupid and useless, and very controlling. Jeno looks down at the sleeping face of Jaemin and sighs before just nudging him gently instead. That didn't stop him from some rude remarks though.
"Hey dipshit, wake up or I'm telling Mrs. Min to fail your lousy ass."
Jaemin grumbles a small "fuck off" before stretching and sitting up. He turns to Jeno, eyes half open. "What?"
"The math project dumbass."
"Oh..." Jaemin looks down at the pieces of paper. "...right." Jeno rolls his eyes but says nothing more as the two start working. A few snarky comments were passed between them, but they got their work done so it didn't matter too much.

"I'm home hyungs!" Jaemin calls as he enters the house. He had gotten used to living with 3 other boys now. Taeil had settled in nicely and actually found a job at the local library. He helped around the house, and soon became like a brother to Jaemin. He had a motherly~ish aura about him that made Jaemin feel safe.
Jaehyun peeks his head around from the kitchen and smiles. "Hey kid. Jisung is here, he had a free last period." He states before returning to whatever he was doing. Jisung came over often now, to see his brother. And he and Jaemin had grew closer...they were finally friends and Jaemin fully forgave the younger for everything.
Jaemin enters the kitchen after putting his things down and smiling when he sees Jisung and Taeil talking and laughing. "Hey guys."
Jisung turns and smiles as Taeil waves. Jaemin, Jaehyun, and Taeyong had realized early on that they should usually leave the two brothers alone when they were meeting. Jaemin grabs a glass of water before making his way upstairs, not forgetting to grab his backpack. He closes his bedroom door behind him and sits down at his desk, taking out his homework.

Jaemin sighs and locks his phone after replying. He turns back to his homework but instead of working, he just blankly stares at it, twirling his pen around his fingers. He couldn't get what Chenle said out of his head. 'I wish you and Jeno were that cute'. Jaemin sighs and slams his head onto the table.
"Why does my soulmate have to be that asshole. I mean yeah, he's good looking and shit. Anyone could see that, but that doesn't exempt the fact that he's a total bitch to me."
Well you aren't that nice to him either Jaemin.
"Yeah cause he used to bully me horribly."

Jaemin sighs and decides to stop having conversations with himself. But he still. Can't. Focus.
He groans. "Stupid Chenle, now I'm gonna be thinking about that dipshit all night. Stupid Jeno and his stupidly good looking face and his stupidly deep voice. Stupid stupid stupid!" Jaemin closes his eyes and leaves his head on the table. He sighs loudly before sitting up once more and just deciding to to bed. Fuck homework.

Jaehyun turns to Taeyong, smiling. The two of them had come up to tell Jaemin it was dinner, but stopped when they heard him ranting about Jeno. Jaehyun snickers and closes the door. "I think Jaemin is slowly falling for the boy."
Taeyong nods his head and follows his boyfriend downstairs. "I think you're right. But he's in denial now."
Jaehyun nods. "Ah...young love."
