Riley's POV
I wake up out of a dead sleep to sound of my phone ringing, I just answer, without checking to see who is calling
"Hello?" I say quite sleepy
"Riley?"
"Yeah." I say still not awake
"Riley, it's Jonathan, list-......" Jonathan begins, but interrupted with
"Dude, let me talk to her!" Who I assume it to be Patrick Kane
I hear some fumbling in background and finally I hear Jonathan say
"Sorry about that, but what I was saying, is that I need your help with Mia! She won't talk to Patrick or I, but I have feeling, she will talk to you! So what do you say, will you do it?"
I pause for a few seconds before say
"Yeah I'll do it!"
I just hear both Jonathan and Patrick, cheering in the background.
"Great, cause we're outside waiting for you!" Jonathan says
"I'll be down in 5 minutes!" I tell him, just a little confused
"Bye!" He tells me
"Bye!" I say
I groan as I look at the time it's only 3:30 in the morning. I quickly put on a pair of nike sweatpants, along with and oversized Blackhwaks hoodie. I put my hair into a high pony, and grab my tan uggs. I grab my phone, before heading out of my room and downstairs. I walk down the stairs, as quietly as I can. I make my way towards, the door, opening it and shutting it as a light as I can. When I walk outside, I see what Jonathan meant by,Patrick and him waiting outside. I walk over towards and car and get in the back seat, only to see Jonathan in the driver seat, while patrick's in the passenger seat.
"I can't thank you, enough for doing this, Riley." Jon tells me as I get into the car, and he begins to drive
"It's really no problem, Mia's my friend, so I don't mind at all." I tell him
"Well, I appreciate." He tells me
"So, I get why Mia isn't talking to Patrick, but why not you?" I ask Jonathan
"Well you see, I might of yelled at her, for fact at how bad it makes, both Patrick and I look. And then she started yelling at me how I always take everybody else's side, but hers, and how I only care about mu career. So then she kicked me out and now your here." He tells me, flashing me a nervous smile, before parking on the side of the street.
"Jeez you men, have to work on your lady skills! Word of advice, all women want is for a guy to listen to them." I tell both of them, before we get out of the car, and walk towards a brick town house.
Jon then opens the door, leading into the build. I just turn around, slightly confused, before saying
"I thought you said she kicked you out?"
"She did!"
"Then, why didn't you just use the key to get in" I ask, still confuse
"Well what's the point, of going in there, when she's just going to ignore you, when you try talk to her." Jon tells me
"True!" I say agreeing
"Wait, before you guys get any further, I want you, both to wait in the car." I tell them, earning a weird look, from each of them.
"Riley!!!" They both whine
"What's the point of going in there, when you said she was ignoring you, anyway!" I tell them, as Patrick just glares at Jonathan
"Fine!" They both say, while Patrick just glares at Jonathan
"Now, I want you both to wait in the car, and no fighting, got it?" I tell them both, as if I'm talking to two little kids.
"Got it." They both mumble
"Good, now one more thing, where's her apartment?"
"It's on the second floor, and apartment 19. As soon as you reach the floor, its the first door on your right. There's an elevator, but I recommend you taking the stairs, it's a lot quicker!" Jon tells me flashing me a small smile
"Thanks!" I say smiling a little, turning around towards the building
"Riley?" I hear Jon yell
"Hmm?" I say turning around
"Keys!" He says with a smirk, before throwing them to me
"Right!" I say a little embarrassed, but a smile forms onto my face, before catching the keys
"Thanks!" I call out
"No problem!" He says, while shaking his head at me, before chuckling a little
I hear Patrick groan, and roll his eyes at us, before dragging Jon to the car, with him.I just turn back around, and walk into the building. I do as jon says and take the stairs, and I follow his directions and take a right, only to see apartment 19. I knock first and when I hear no answer, I use the key, as I walk in, I see that it's quite big, before calling out
"Mia"
"Go away!" I hear her yell, I walk towards her voice, only to walk towards a close door, I knock before saying
"Mia, it's Riley!"
I hear some fumbling on the other side, before the door clicks and opens, only to reveal a very upset Mia. She moves out of the way, to let me in. I just give her hug, she automatically hugs back
"Wanna talk about?" I ask her
She just nods, before gesturing me to sit, and I do and sit right at the edge of her bed, as she sits on the opposite side
Mia takes a deep breathe before beginning to say
~Flashback~
MIA'S POV
Patrick brings me down the trainers room where no one is.
We still have an hour till the game.
"What were you thinking!" Patrick yells at me.
Oh hell no.
"I was defnding Riley from that bitch!" I yell back.
"So you punch her!"
"She was going to punch me!"
"Do you ever thin? How this makes me look!" How he looks?
"So it's all about you? What about the fact that she was saying Riley was a dirty slut and my brother couldn't ever leave her! How about that Jonathan doesn't even love me or that he was an easy lay! How about her saying how good of a lay you are!"
"Mia stop making stuff up! I'm sick of this!"
"Your so blind Patrick! You think it's all about you! Omg Patrick fucking Kane!" I said in annoying high pitchy voice.
"Your such a bitch Mia!"
"Well here's a bitch move for you, were done! You take the fake ass bitches side once again! Like always!" I stand up and take off my jacket and shirt that say Kane.
"Mia please don't do this." I throw him them leaving me in a black lacy bra.
"No Patrick sick and tired of you defending her." I find a Toews hoodie and slip it on.
"Please babe!" He grabs my wrist.
Wrenching it from his grasp I give him the finger as I walk out. Putting my phone on airplane mode I head to my car with a yelling Patrick begging for me to come back.
Getting into my car I blare Linkin Park as I drive to my townhouse.
Single bitch.

"Oh God, Mia! I'm sorry!" I tell her, while pulling her in for another hug. With she gladly hugs back, before saying
"Now, you get why I punched the bitch, and left without saying anything, to anyone."
I just nod before saying "I didn't know that's what was said."
"They aren't here, are they?" Mia asks, while playing with her hair
"No, I made them wait in the car." I say with a chuckle
"Good, but you know, they probably going to kill each other,if they didn't do it already." Mia says before chuckling
"No, trust me I made that very clear, to them about fighting.'
Mia just laughs before saying
"Thanks Riley, for coming over, to see me, I really needed someone to talk too!"
"Hey, it's really no problem, your my friend, I just want you to know, that I'm here for you!" I tell her, while we walk out of her room, into the living room.
"Thank you! And you know that I'm here for you too!" Mia tells me
I just nod, while walking towards the door.
"So what's going on with you and my brother?"Mia asks, while raising her eyebrows
I just turn around, only to see a smirking Mia
"W-h-at do mean? We're just friends!" I tell her, stuttering a little, surprised that she would ask that
"Oh come on, Riley! I haven't seen Jon that happy since he met you, and left Lindsey."
"May I remind you, that, I've met him, like 5 days ago!"
"Your point being?" She questions raising her eyebrows at me
"That........" I say struggling to find the words "Okay fine, he asked me if I would like him, to show me around, the city!" I tell her caving
"Ha I knew, it!" She says while squealing
"Yeah Whatever!" I tell her rolling my eyes at her before saying "But it's not a date!"
"Ah huh sure! It's not a date, but yet he asked if he could show you 'around', but do worry it's not a date." She says mocking me
"It's not!!! I tell her, while grabbing a pillow and chucking it at her and laughing. a little
Mia just laughs at me before catching the pillow
"And by the way, he's the only one that offer." I tell her sticking my tongue out at her, like a kid
'You never asked!" She tells me, while playing with the pillow
"You never asked" I say mocking her, this time
"Hey!" She says, laughing, and throwing the pillow back at me
"Don't like being mocked, now do you?" I ask, chuckling
"No, just doesn't feel right!" She says laughing
"Well, I better get going, hopefully they didn't kill each other yet!" I tell Mia, with a small chuckle
"Yeah, we wouldn't that now, would we?" She says sarcastically
I just raise my eyebrows at her
"I mean, you wouldn't want Jon killed, cause you know, you like him!" She tells me making kissy faces at me
"Do not!!" I tell her, once again throwing the pillow at her, making sure to hit her
"Does too! And he likes you too!" Mia tells me looking pleased with herself
"No and no!!!" I tell her, while walking to the door
"I'm right and you know that!"
"Okay, whatever!!" I tell her, rolling my eyes at her
"Bye, future sister-law!" Mia yells to me as I open the door
"Bye, weirdo!!" I yell back as I out the door and shut it
I just laugh to myself. "Man Mia's something else." I think to myself
"Could she be right? Could Jonathan like me?" "Nah, who could ever love a broken girl?" I think to myself as I look down at wrists.
I continue on walking, down the stairs, and back to where I started, as I make my way outside, I can see that the car is still there, and that both Jon and Pat are still in there. I make my way towards the car, and get in before saying
"Looks like, you two didn't kill each other, that's always a good thing!" I say with a chuckle
"Can I go see her?" an eagerly Patrick Kane ask
"Not yet, Pat! She needs time! But I will give you some advice, Mia doesn't want some wimpy apologize. I'm not saying to go and do something big, but all Mia really wants is for you to look her in the eye and say 'Im sorry, I was wrong, and whatever else, but mean it! It has to have meaning, if it has no meaning, it's meaning less."
Pat just lets out a groan
"Don't worry, you'll think of something!" I assure him
"So how did things go?" Jon ask, while he begins driving
"Good, she just wanted someone to listen and talk too! I think you should see her, I know she would like for you to stop by!" I tell him
"Yeah, I was going to swing by after, I dropped you both off." Jon tells me
Pat just sighs, as soon as he says that
"Sorry, buddy!" Jon tells him, patting his back
"Well thanks again, Riley!!" Jon tells me as he pulls into my uncles driveway
"No problem!" I tell him, as I unbuckle my seat belt
"Well I see you tonight, then?" He asks, as he turns to me and smile
"Yup!!' I say returning the smile
"What's tonight?" Pat perks up before I get out of the car
"Nothing Pat!" Jon tells him with a laugh
I can't help but laugh before saying
"Bye guys!!"
"Bye Riley!!" They say as I get out of the car and Head to the door. They wait until, I get in before, driving away. I lightly open the door, trying not to make too much noise, before shutting it quietly, and heading upstairs to my room. Since it's only 5:30, I decide to go back to bed.
"Today's going to be a long day." I think to myself as I drift off to sleep

I know it's been at least a few days since I last update, but here's chapter 7! Hope you like it!! I will be going out of town for a few days, I'm leaving Saturday and coming back Tuesday. So I'll try to update as much as I can! I'm hoping to have the next chapter up sometime after I get back!! Since I probably won't update Thursday, I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving for those who celebrate it!! Also I know I'm very late, but Happy Late Thanksgiving to all those up in Canada!! Hope you all have and had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!
