Introduction
This fanfiction takes place in Transformers prime. Ultra magnus will be in it from the begining and Smokescreen will appear as he normally would. I dont own any of the characters except Ella and her parents.
Chapter 1 Darkness Rising part 1
Ella P.O.V
ugh it was a normal school day for Miko my best friend and I. The only thing that I liked about school was playing basketball and running cross country, which is the only reason why I dont get bullied by the school bully Vince. It was the last class of school, if I could drive then we would be leaving this boring joint, but Miko and I are only 14 years old. Bummer! Thankfully my parents got me a fourwheeler for my 14th birthday last week and I can drive that around. Miko hasnt always been my best friend she just became so during the summer, when she came to live wih us, she's an exchange student from toyko, Japan. Miko is defiantly something else, were total opposites but I think that's why we get along so good. She's not sporty but adventurous like me, she has short black hair with pink tips, and she is a rockerchick through and through. I have long blonde hair that goes to the middle of my back , I'm 5'9, I like all types of music except metal and screamo, and I can play any instrument out there. I mostly stick to Piano, drums and guitar. I tend to try to stay out of trouble but trouble always finds me when I'm with Miko. Thankfully I never get detention like Miko does, only thanks to sports I get off easy. Hahaha.
RING!! Finally school is out! I grabbed my back pack and pulled out my phone to text Miko but she ran into me and said" dude you gotta come see this cool bike outside." We quickly walked out of the school but then she slumped and said "awe." Then she saw it go behind a building and dragged me along. We stopped when we saw it stop and talk to a boy that went to our school. All of a sudden the bike transformers into this giant robot. Both of our eyes widen in shock and excitement, no fear. The boy and robot were talking about the boy going with it when Miko spoke up."Dude what are you waiting for? Go with!" I face palmed myself. Then the robot said "scrap." Hmm catchy I like it.Scrap,Scrap,Scrap. The robot then looked like she was talking to someone, which then a awesome Urban 500 pulled up yellow and black." It must have been another one cause the bike pointed to it and nodded for one of us to get in. I looked at Miko, then ran towards the car and opened the drivers side door and got into the drivers seat. The youngest guy in one of my classes was sitting in the passengers seat. "Hi Raph." I told him.He looked at me with surprise and said " You-you know my name? your actually talking to me?" he said. "Yeah I know who you are your in my class and why would I, I'm a nice person, just cause I play sports doesnt mean that I act like I'm better than everyone else or that I'm like everyone. It's okay to be different Raph, I"m just a fruit loop, stuck in a world of cheerios. would you like to be a fruit loop too?" I said. He laughed, smiled and nodded. Then the car made a sound and oddly enough I could understand him he said hey and that his name was Bumblebee. "he said hey his name is-" I cut him off my saying "BUMblebee." "you understand me too?" Bee said. "yeah I guess so." I said. "so can I be in your fruit loop thing?" bee asked. "sure bee, wait can I call you bee?" I said and asked. "yes" was all bee said. We drove out of the town of Jasper into the well desert of sand in the middle of nowhere until we came this huge rock. Bee then went off the road and was headed right for the wall, we were going to hit it. "B-Bee? were gonna hit it, were gonna hit." I said. As soon as I closed my eyes, waiting for the empacted but it never came and then I felt a touch to my arm. I opened my eyes and looked at Raph, and then looked forward. It was a giant space that looked like something army soldiers would hide in from bombs or something. Bee honked his horn, I guess letting who ever know that he was here. Both Raph and I got out of the car and stepped away for Bee to transform. Miko and the boy came to stand by us while the robot they were riding transformed also.
There was a huge bulky green robot, a very tall blue and red robot ,and then a orange and white robot. "hi i'm Raph." Raph said to Miko but she ran off but still said "I"m miko." "I"m Jack." the boy said to Raph and I guess us girls too. "I"m Ella and dont mind MIko, she's always like that Raph." Raph nodded. Miko was off asking the bulky green all the insane questions. Then I heard a sound like metal againist metal and the ground shook, I almost lost balance but I steadied myself. There was a giant tall blue and red robot walking towards us and he was even taller then the other blue and red one. "I'm Optimus Prime, and we are atomis robotic organims. Also known as autobots. we come from our home planet called cybertron which is uninhabitable due to the many years of war." Optimus said. "what were you fighting a war?"Raph asked. "Others like us known as the decepticons, there leader megatron wanted more power." Optimus said. Optimus pointed to all the autobts and introduced us. The green one's name is Bulkhead, Ha who knew. The orange and white one's name is Ratchet and he is a medic. Bumble Bee is of course the yellow and black urban 500, Arcee she was the blue and pink motorcycle, and the last one the tall blue and red his name was Ultra Magnus. He was different the others, he kind of seemed like he was a loner. While the other's were talking to the other autobots I walked over to Ultra Magnus. I looked up at him but I had to crane my neck to see him and I said "Hi, I'm Ellla." He nodded and said "hello native." I couldnt help myself and let a little giggle out, He just looked at me weird. My neck was starting to hurt and I think he noticed because he huffed and lowered his hand. I stepped onto his hand and held onto his finger while he rose his hand. He put me up to his shouder and I got onto his shoulder, the sat down and said "thank you sir." He turned his head and what I saw was surprise. I just shrugged and then asked "Ultra Magnus, Sir what was cybertron like?what did it look like?" He stayed silent then said "It was like your earth but made of metal." Ultra Magnus said. "do you miss it?" I asked. He was about to answer when a beeping went off by their control panel. We both looked toward it and he started walking, it shook me too much and I fell. I went to scream but it never came out. Then I felt something warm underneath me, I opened my eyes and I was looking up to the oddly concerned face of Ultra Magnus. He doesnt really seem like the guy to care about anyone but his team, not humans. "sorry I forgot that you were sitting there I just went into action." UM said (UM-Ultra Magnus). "it's okay" I told him. We walked over there, I was holding onto his finger. "what's going on doctor?" UM asked Ratchet. "Cliffjumper's signal popped up online." Ratchet said. "it's not possible." said Arcee "who's cliffjumper? another one of you?" Miko asked. "if there's any chance that cliff's alive." Arcee said. "Ratchet, autobots transform and roll out." Optimus said. I knew it was fixing to happen and it did when Miko asked "what can we do?" Optimus turned torward her and said "Remain here with Ratchet." "awe" said Miko. "uhh" Groaned Ractched it. UM looked down at me and then lowered me to this spot where there was couch and tv. all of this sudden this huge glowing green light appearred and they all went through. "whoa what was that?" Raph asked. "A ground bridge it can send you anywhere on earth." Ratchet said. "for humans to?" Raph asked. "Naturally." Ratchet said. "so I could jus thope on over and see my parents in toyko?" Miko asked. "yes let me send all 4 of you there right now." Ratchet said. Miko pointed her finger at Ratchet and said "watch it Ratchet". He just looked at her annoyed and turned back to the huge computer screen. I knew they all had a vechicle form but I wasnt paying attention to what UM transformed into but I was excited to see what it was. There was a buzzer like sound to the screen and ratchet groaned "stupid human technology." "why are you using human computers?" asked Raph. "this is all we have to work with since there is no way to get to our planet." Ratchet said. "I think I can help wtih that." Raph said as he was hooking up a cored that went from the big comp to his comp. "really? you know this isnt a childs toy." Ratchet said. "Now try," Raph said. All the buzzing sound and the screen went back to normal and ratchet turned around shocked. I nudged Raph on the shoulder and said "good Job dude!." He smiled shyly. "Ratchet send and emergency ground bridge at the same cordinates...Now!" Optimus voice came over the screen. The groudn bridge lit up and they all came thropugh but with this blue fire and smoke chasing right behind them. There was I knew for sure Bee and Arcee, I saw a green SUV and knew that was Bulkhead. There were two blue and red semi's so I knew that it must be Optimus and UM, but which one was which I got my answer when they transformed. So awesome. "So what about cliffjumper?" ratchet asked. All of there faces fell. "what did you see Arcee?" She looked down and then said" It wasnt cliff, at least not anymore he was butchered and muted like one of those con experiments. " She then clasped to the ground, bee started towards her when she put up her hand and said " I'm fine ,just dizzy." "Robots get dizzy?" asked Miko. I looked up at UM and said "robots with emotion." "robots who can die." Jack said. Ratchet scaned this light over Arcee, all of her was blue until the scanner turned red over her hand. "what is this?" Ratchet said. "I dont know cliff was covered in it, leaking it." Arcee said. "Go take a decamination bath, now." Ratchet said. Bee helped Arcee up to go over to another part of the base. "Optimus I hate to bother but no bars." as Jack showed Optimus his phone. "a security precaution." Optimus said. "well if I dont call my mom the cops will be out looking for me." Jack said. Optimus leaned down torwards us all with a serious look on his face and asked "have you broken a law?" We all shook our heads, then Jack spoke" curfew.". Optimus went back up to his full height and said "Earth customs I hadnt considered." Optimus turned torwards his autobots and said " Bulkhead you will accompany Miko home." Bulkhead nodded. "sweet my host parents will freak." miko said. "and maintain covert survilance." Optimus said. "curbside duty." Bulkhead said. "awe." Miko slumped. "Bumble Bee you will watch over Raphael." Optimus said. Bee turned to Raph and Raph smiled. "Ratchet." Optimus started but was cut off by Ratchet saying "busy." wow he really doesnt like us. "Arcee you will take Jack home." Optimus said. "still dizzy" said Arcee. "your fine says your physican." Ratchet said. yeah he really doesnt like us. Then Optimus turned towards where I was standing by the bottomg of the stairs then to UM. "Ultra Magnus, you will be Ella's guardian." UM saluted Optimus and said "yes sir." Optimus nodded. Um transformed into his alt mode which was his semi truck. I jumped into the drivers seat, even though I'm 5'9 I still had to cause he was tall. I landed on my stomach with an oof. I quickly sat up and buckled my seatbelt. I did put my hands on the steering wheel though. Until the steering wheel moved by it's self. UM was the first to drive out of the base followed by the rest. "I know Optimus Prime is y'all's leader but usualy only commander's and lower ranks only salute to the leaders, so are you a soldier cause bee told me he was a scout." He didnt answer for a min, so I thought he wasnt going say anything. Not very talkitive okay then. We were coming into town and I grabbed the wheel and put my foot on the gas and turned us left. there was some resistance but I"m sure he figured out that I was tying to show him where I lived. I pulled his truck in to my driveway and then I scooted to the passengers seat and got out. "Good night Ultra Magnus." I got out of the passenger side just incase my parents saw me. I walked up the drive way and then Miko came up walking beside me. "this is so awesome!" she said. I looked back to where UM was still sitting in the driveway and said "yeah it's pretty rad." Then we walked into the house.
Ultra Magnus P.O.V.
The native girl had surprised me by asking the questions that she had. I was very impressed that she knew the ranks, she called me sir, and she knew how to drive. I watched outside her house, like I intened to do everyday, when I'm not on mission. I'm her guardian after all and I cant let Optimus down. So far since coming to this planet I didnt care for the natives, but this one seems different. I also wondered why the Miko native had followed her in there. I was sure I heard Ratchet say her parents lived in toyko. Whereever that is. Bulk head was parked on the other side of the curb. I decided to moved behind him, so her parents wouldnt get suspecious.
Ella P.O.V.
Miko and I had to explain why we were late and our excuse was we walked around outside of town then got lost. Luckly they had believed us, we said goodnight to them and headed up to our seperate bedrooms. I took off my shoes and grabbed some clothes and went and took a shower. After I got out I put my clothes on and brushed out my hair. I french braided my hair that way tomorrow I would have the perfect curls when I took it out. I then walked over to my window and peaked out and saw UM and Bulkhead parked on the other side of the street. I smiled knowing that we were safe and crawled into my warm bed and went to sleep.

HONK HONK. I jumped awake and fell onto the floor. What in the whale was that? I stood up but too fast and got dizzy then tripped and fell into my desk. I just layed there for a second, oh that hurt. When I stood up, more slowly this time something ran down into my eye and it stung. I touched it and it was sticky. I put my hand to my forehead and brought it down, my head was gushing out blood. I grabbed a towel put it on there. I took off my pjs's and put on my black nike shorts with a grey nike shirt and my black nike shox. I felt like I didnt have time to do my hair so I left it in the braid and then I just put my nike headband on. I grabbed, my phone, my black packback with some extra clothes in it and my wallet. I knew my parents werent going to be home and it's a saturday, so I left them a note saying I was at the park with my basketball team and that I would be home about 9:00pm.
I walked out of the house and noticed Bulkhead wasnt here, he and Miko must have already left. I climbed into the passenger seat of Ulra Magnus this time still holding the towel to my forehead. The towel was a creamy white color, so you would be able to notice the blood. I pulled it away from my head and it was covered in blood, and it was still gushing. I put the towel back on, we started to drive toward the base I guess."why are you holding that to your helm?" UM asked. Helm?what's helm? Oh head! "uh well you honked and woke me from my sleep, I fell on the floor then got up to fast felt dizzy ,then I tripped and my head on my desk. I"m holding this towel to my head because I am bleeding and it wont stop." I told him. I was starting to feel really sleepy. Iv never hit my head this hard before. "are you alright?" UM asked. "yeah i'm okay it just hurts, I'm just gonna lay down till we get there, please no more honking to wake me up anymore." I said. Then I laid my head and body down on his seats, my head in his driver's seat. I was just going to rest my head but I could feel myself drifting to sleep.

Ultra Magnus P.O.V.
The native girl laid down on my seats, I didnt think anything about it till I was going to call out her name."native?" she didnt answer. "human?" she still didnt answer.I had decided I wasnt going to call her by her actual name because I didnt want to get attached if I did. I went aganist what I said when I said her name," Ella? Ella wake up." When she still didnt answer me I commed the base.:Ultra Magnus to base is anyone there?:. I didnt have to wait long, .:Ultra Magnus this is Ratchet I'm here.:. I was paying attention to Ella when I got commed again by Ratchet.:Ultra Magnus are you there? are you alright?:. .:Doctor I'm fine but Ella isnt, she's bleeding she laid down on me a little while before I commed you and now she wont wake up:. I could feel a warm liquid run onto my seats, I was actually starting to worry. .:I will prepare a med bay:. Ratchet said. I didnt com back I just put my gear in maximum overdrive. I arrived at base shortly after that. Ratchet walked over to me,"open your cab door before you transform. I opened the door ,then Ratchet reached in and took hold of Ella and gently carried her off to the med bay. I followed after Ratchet and watched him put her on a med berth(bed). Ratchet removed the towel that was on her head and gasped. "Ultra Magnus what happend?" Ratchet asked. I looked down ashamed that I had cause her to hit her head. "I honked loudly and woke her up causeing her to fall off her berth and then she said she stood up too fast got dizzy and tripped and hit her head on her desk." I told him. He was clean off her helm, while putting this white stuff ontop of it, then he put a big white patch ontop of it. That seemed to make the bleeding stop. He then had a sharp object in his hand and was pointing it at her when I said" she's hurt enough as it is, why are you goin to stab her?" Ratchet just looked at me, then said "It will help with the pain when she wakes up, which will prob be in a few mins. she was starting to move while I was putting that bandage on her head." I nodded.
Ratchet had went back to his computer, I just stood there and watched Ella."Optimus?" I heard Ratchet say. "ahh! hey I needed that!" I heard Ratchet say again. I was about to walk over there when I heard a blast go off and Ratchet say "and stay down." I turned back to Ella when I saw Optimus was standing there by Ratchet. Then I heard engines coming throught the base. I saw the human charges get out and start laughing and smiling with their guardians. While I had managed to get mine hurt, the one I was supposed to protect. "so what's on the activies list today?" the one called Jack asked. "Ratchet and I are going to check out something, Arcee you are in charge." Optimus said. Normally I would be in charge but I guess Ratchet had infromed Optimus of my situation. "Me?" asked Ratchet. "I may need you science help." Optimus said. "No offence Optimus, but being body guard is one but babysitting is another thing, when I could be doing something out on the field, and Ratchet hasnt been on the field since the war." Arcee said. "my piston's may be rusty but my hearing is sharp as ever!" Ratchet said. "why isnt the commander incharge? He is the commander." Bulkhead said. "He has other matter's to attend to." Optimus said. I tuned out after that and still watched Ella. I didnt want the others to see her like this so I picked her up and held her close to my chest and walked down the hall to my berthroom. I turned into my berthroom and gently laid down with Ella still laid on my chest with my hand resting protectively over her. I then felt my optics turn down into recharge.

Ella P.O.V.
I slowly opened my eyes and saw I wasnt in the part of the base that I'm always in. I looked around and then I felt as if I was laying on something warm. I looked somemore and I was laying ontop of UM chest. I sat up slowly, so I wouldnt hurt my head even more. My Head! I put my hand to my head and felt a huge bandage. I got up on my hands and knees, I didnt want to wake UM while he was sleeping, so I was deciding on a safe way to get down. I was crawling backwards down his thigh when he moved. I yelped but I grabbed what I hope was his kneecap, but I felt myself slipping and I was too far off the ground still I would get hurt again. "Ultra Magnus!" I tried to yell, but he didnt wake up. I tried again with "Commander!" Yelling even louder. He woke with a start and looked down at his chest then noticed me, then picked me up. I leaned aganist his fingers. "wow you are a heavy sleeper." I said. "How are you doing?" UM asked. Gez right to the point, I'm gonna have to lighten this guy up. "I"m fine commander, my head doesnt even hurt anymore and I dont feel tired." I told him. He just nodded his head, and got up with us and headed to the main intrance. We walked into the main intrance where there others were. They turned to us and asked "where have y'all been?" Both UM and I looked at each other before we turned back to the others,before we could answer Miko asked" were y'all kissing?" I mentally facepalmed. "what is this kissing you speak of?" UM asked. "I'll explain later but no Miko we werent, we were sleeping." I told Miko. "wow you got a boring bot, even more than Ratchet." Miko said. "Hey I'm not boring, I just perfer to spend my time with science." Ratchet said. "we have more things to worry about now, we must get to the space bridge before he sends his dark energon to cybertron to revive his undead army." Optimus said. Wow we must have missed alot cause even UM face is confused. He put me down on the platform and then they all transformed except Optimus who was talking to Ratchet. "Optimus if you leave me on this planet with all these humans I will never forgive you." Ratchet told Optimus, then Optimus transformed adn they all went through the ground bridge. \
I was sitting on the couch thinking and hoping that they would be alright. I felt someone sit down beside me but I didnt look up to see who it was. "so what happend to your head?" Jack asked. I looked up at him then and said " I woke up this morning, got up too fast, tripped and fell and hit my head on my dresser. I'm kinda clumsy sometimes." I told him. "But you play basketball?" Jack asked. "yeah and even then I tripped over the half court line.hahaha." I laughed after I told him. I thought it was pretty funny. I was getting worried so I decided to take a walk into the base to clear my head. I walked down the stairs then into the hall way. I noticed these rooms, they kind of looked like bedroom's. I went and sat in my of the rooms floors and sat down. I noticed a guitar case in there, this must be bulkhead's room. It was Miko's guitar, I opened it and decided that I would play a few songs to pass the time. I hooked the plug into the amp beside it and started playing "safe and sound by taylor swift. I sang alond as I played as well.

Miko P.O.V
We were all making sure that our bots were okay and making sure that Acree was okay. She was hurt the most. I turned around toward Optimus and said "so is this the part where you all go home and we forget that we ever saw you?" I didnt want to say goodbye and I didnt think the rest of us did either. I wonder where Ella is at? "Without a ship or space bridge we cannot return." Optimus said. All of a sudden I heard my guitar go off, it must be Ella. She had her own guitar at home but I guess she anted to play just to pass the time. I walked to the sound of the guitar and oddly so did UM. I walked until I came towards bulk's room then I heard her singing. I had never heard her sing, but man was she awesome.

Ultra Magnus P.O.V.
When we came through the ground bridge I saw all the human children except Ella, then I heard this odd but interesting sound so I decided to follow where it was coming from. I guess Miko had the same Idea because she was infront of me. We both stopped at Bulkhead's room when we saw her. SHe was play something Miko called a guitar and sounds were coming from it and coming from Ella's mouth. SHe was singing.

Her voice was beautiful. So soft and gently. Her eyes were close the whole time and she was into it singing her spark for all to hear, to listen. She then opened her eyes and then became a light shade of pink when she saw we were standing there. "uh how long have your guys been standing there?" she said. "Long enough to know that you are a born super star!." Miko said. Ella shook her helm and said "I dont know about a superstar, I think I sing okay." I couldnt believe after hearig her sing, that she only thought that she was okay. "I thought that you sang beautifully Ellla." I told her. Both girls mouths dropped open. Had I said something wrong? Ella then spoke" Thank your commander, Sir." I didnt mind the other autobots calling me commander, but something didnt like the fact that Ella called him that. "Please, just call me Magnus." I told her and then smiled. She smiled back and we all walked back into the main room. "It's time for the children to go home, dont want to miss curfew." Optimus said. Everyone transformed but Arcee, she was still in recovery. I opened my door for Ella to get in, she hopped into my driver seat again. I drove out of the base and headed towards Ella's house. I knew where it was now, so I guess she figured I did cause she didnt take control of my steering wheel. Even when she did last night I didnt really mind. We didnt talk the whole way, I figured she was asleep since she kept her eyes closed. We arrived at her house and I was fixing to tell her but she opened the door before I could. "I'm sorry I made you hurt yourself this morning, I didnt mean to and I failed as guardian." I apologized. "Magnus, you scared me this morning, but I'm the one who got up too fast and tripped. You didnt fail me, you got me to Ratchet and made sure that I was okay. You stayed with me held me close to you while I slept. You didnt go out on a mission when you were needed, you stayed because I needed you, you put me before yourself. You could have just left me with Ratchet but you didnt. You have not fail me and I know that you never will." she told me then stepped out of me. She closed the door then went to the front of my hood and patted it. "Goodnight Magnus, Thank you." she said and walked into her house. What she had said had sent something straight to my spark. I knew I would never fail her and that I would die protecting her. I will keep her safe and I wont let anything or anyone stand in my way of keep her safe.
