Sometimes all you need is belief in order to escape reality. Reality is a funny concept. When you watch a movie, most of the time, you need to abandon your sense of reality. If you want to lose yourself in a book, you must let the book overtake your mind. One of the best ways of losing reality, is magic. There can be little enjoyment in magic if you know the secret of the trick. Some people believe that magic is genuine art, with no falsities or jokes. Others take the more logical stance, that all magic can be explained by science. Science can be funny too. When people think of something "science fiction," generally they think of spaceships or aliens. While those do belong under the science fiction umbrella, in a way, so does magic. Both require logic and scince, but if you are to enjoy them, and indulge them, you must learn to disown your reality.
