"Hey, Joo-ya, what are you looking at?" Joohwang daydreams in class like he usually does. (Joohwang is orange in Korean)
"Gosh, this boy daydreaming again. Oi! Oi Orange! I'll slap the shit out of this boy..."
*smack*
"OW!!! WHY DID YOU HIT ME?" Joohwang said in an angry tone.
"You're daydreaming again."
"So?"
"So, please stop. Whenever I want to talk about something you'll always look up and think about your bullshit fantasy with Chaewon."
"Don't talk shit about Chaewon. You don't want me to get mad." He points his index to his friend, Minhyung.
"Then don't ignore me! Urghhh, stop thinking about her! She already has a boyfriend so stop!" Hearing that made him feel down.
"Aigoo this boy... Whatever. It's useless talking to you. I need a dose of Yujin right now. Aish jinjja..." He stands up and leaves the depressed Joohwang.
"Sigh... if only I was braver and earlier..."
Flashback
"You can do this! You're Kim Joohwang! Orenji orenji!" He took a deep breath before going towards Chaewon.
"Hey, Chaewon-ah!" The short-haired girl turned around gorgeously and it stopped him in his tracks.
"Yes? Did you call me?"
"Uhh... Hehe, ye-yeah..." He mustered up his courage and walk towards her.
"Umm... Wanna walk to the canteen together?" Then he nervously anticipated her answer.
"Sure why not?" His heart is overflowed with joy but only a wide smile is visible on his face.
"You know Chaewon-ah... I... I..."
"You what?"
"I think I... I..." As he's stuttering so much trying to confess to her, someone called her name from behind.
"Chaewon-ah!" She turned around and saw Bomin calling out her name.
"Oh hey, Bomin!" She waved at him which sparked jealousy in Joohwang.
By now they both had arrived at the canteen. Bomin goes closer to her and Joohwang felt unpleasant about it.
"Why did you call me?" Bomin shows her a bouquet of rose and extra Cadbury chocolate in there.
Well, it's Valentine's Day.
"Happy Valentine's Day! Will you go out with me?" The students around starts to cheer for them and said...
"ACCEPT HIM! ACCEPT HIM! ACCEPT HIM!" Joohwang also heard a few gossips behind him.
"Gosh, Chaewon and Bomin? We have the visual couple in our school."
It just made him more unpleasant and angry. But the next thing that Chaewon did made his heart fall to the ground.
"Yes! Let's date!" She said those words right in front of him... She hugs him and Bomin gestured something to Joohwang.
He looks at him and pointed his index finger to Chaewon and then to him. Joohwang knew his signs meant 'she's mine'.
Not wanting to see the view anymore he left silently. What's worse is that nobody even notices his presence. He goes to the back of the school and cried.
Those scenes were the most painful scenes he ever witnessed. And to make it even worse... it happened on Valentine's Day.

That event occurred just a year ago. Time flies so fast. As he's walking to the canteen, he saw the two lovebirds pass by him.
For them, it felt like a shadow just passed them. He still doesn't know why but whenever he sees her even only for just a second, it made his day.
He knows loving someone who already had someone special is wrong but his heart just won't listen to his mind.
There he goes again, a lonely soul going to the canteen. He always goes to the back of the school since no one would hang out there. He feels at peace. No one would bother him.
Other couples are having their moments meanwhile Joohwang just having his enjoyable yet sorrowful moment alone. As he's walking back to class, he bumped into someone.
"Oh, I'm sorry-"
When he looked at that person, the butterflies fly in his stomach, his heartbeat beats fast... but at the same time, his heart also feels sorrowful. Why? Because that person was crying.
"Ch-Chaewon-ah..." He said.
She turned around, showing her face that's full of tears. Joohwang couldn't say anything at the moment so he just continued his way to the class-
"Yah Orenji!" His footsteps stopped taking another step. Somebody else's footsteps were heard.
As he could feel a sense of somebody's presence, he turned around and saw Chaewon looking up at him.
"Y-Yes?" Chaewon suddenly hugs him and he was taken aback by her action.
"Ch-Chaewon-ah... What are you doing? You shouldn't be doing this. Your boyfriend might-"
"I don't have any boyfriend anymore..." Shocked feeling runs inside him.
"He was kissing Suyun..."
Looking at her situation right now, Joohwang just wants to hug her. But he restrained himself from doing so. However, Chaewon grabs his hand and puts it on her back.
"If a person is crying in front of you, shouldn't you comfort them?" She's technically right.
"Are you alright with it?"
"I need comfort." He then hugs her and slowly pats her back.
"Thank you..." She said. Her face was buried on his chest.
As she looks up at him, the feeling comes back again. The feeling when he first met her. The feeling when she interacted with him. The feeling... of love.
"W-Why do you look at me like that?"
"What did you want to say that day?"
Joohwang was surprised that she still remembered that day. The day where it all falls to him.
"What?"
"You wanted to say something that day. Tell me."
He was taken aback but this time... he felt... different. He felt braver. He felt more confident. He felt... ready... for no reason.
"Umm... I... I... I think I..." The stuttering comes back again.
"I... love you..."
As soon as he said it, the burden of not saying that completely goes away from his body. He felt relieved yet nervous about her answer.
"I see." That was all she answered.
"Sorry..."
"Why are you apologizing?"
"Well... you might still want time to recover from... you know heartbreak. And right now isn't even perfect for any confession."
"Who says?"
"Uhh... me?"
"You do know it's Valentine's Day today right?"
"Yeah so?"
"You're so blunt. Yet so cute." His face reddened hearing her saying he's cute.
"Orenji-ya."
"Yes?"
"Would you like to be my guy?" He wasn't expecting that at all.
"W-What?"
"I said would you like to be my guy?"
"Umm..."
His mind suddenly tells him that she's using him to move on from her ex. But Joohwang shrugged off the overthinking and replied to her.
"Yes... Yes, Chaewon-ah. I'll be your guy."
A year later
Joohwang's now in his third grade in high school. It's Valentine's Day today. So, he decided to buy the most cliche things on Valentine's Day.
Fortunately, she's on the same class as him after 2 years of different classes. The thought of giving the roses and chocolates to her just made his heart flutter.
It was 10 minutes before school started. He comes into the class and sees Chaewon talking to another guy.
Usually, he would be fine with her talking to other guys but this time he felt different.
He felt strange because she was touching and fixing his clothes. Questions appeared inside his mind.
Chaewon saw him but before she could talk to him he stands up and goes out of the class.
In recess time, he goes back to his favorite place when he was single. The back area of the school.
It was silent as usual. He eats and has his peaceful time alone. Not until somebody interrupted him.
"Babe~" It was a voice of an angel. However, the feeling of jealousy and ego takes over him. He ignores her.
"Is there something wrong?" She asked.
He keeps on silent as he munches his food. She lets out a heavy sigh knowing why he's ignoring her. She took his hand and drags him to the canteen.
As they arrived there, they found two students kissing and the other kids cheering. One of the students was the boy who talked to Chaewon in the morning.
The boy discovered Chaewon and said thanks to her for helping him get his date. Chaewon then looks at Joohwang.
When he meets her gaze, he looks at other places. She shakes her head and then cups his face. She planted a kiss on his lips.
"You jealous little boy. Such a cutie."
Joohwang can't help but chuckle at her words. Joohwang kissed her back and then they get out of the canteen.
He immediately thought of something and runs off to the back of the school. Luckily, his stuff was still there.
He goes back to Chaewon who was waiting for him in the corridor. He hides the flower and chocolate behind his back.
"Where did you go?" He slowly walks towards her.
He then shows her the flowers and chocolate. Her face shows a touching and grateful expression. She sniffs the good scent of the roses and hugs him.
"Thank you, babe!"
"I love you Kim Chaewon."
"I love you too my little Orenji, Kim Joohwang." Both of them kissed each other and embraced each other.
