Patrick's POV
Pete called saying he wanted to tell me something. He picked me up on the way to the studio because my car was in the shop. We parked outside of the studio and he faced me, "I'm engaged."
"Congrats," I said, "Who is the lucky lady?"
"This is the part I was worried about telling you, it's Carter." It took a minute to all sink in. Carter, the woman I love, is engaged..... to Pete, my best friend. "When did it happen?"
"A couple weeks after tour."
"Are you certain you aren't rushing it?'
"I'm positive," Pete said, "She is most amazing person in the world. Next part of the conversation, will you be my best man?"
"Absolutely."
"Great." We went int the studio and go to work. Perfect, I am the best man of the girl I love and my best friend's wedding.
