It was Damians sixteenth birthday, and he was thoroughly annoyed. He was born at 12:20, and it was 12:15. His father and brothers made him strip to his shorts, because the wanted to see exactly where his Soulmark, or marks, were.
He honestly believed that he did not have a soulmate, his mother did not have one, and his fathers was elusive and a criminal.
So now, he was talking to his brothers, Alfred and father. They were in the training room, sharing stories of funny birthdays of the past.
"Okay, but seriously Dami, are you excited?" The oldest annoyance, Richard Grayson asked. He had already met his soulmate, Starfire. He was twenty two, and his second kid was on the way.
Damian scowled, ignoring the question, which started his brothers to begin to throughly make fun of him.
He was not nervous God dammit!
Then he felt a sensation cover his entire body, it felt like a cozy blanket, and he could almost smell pastries.
Then the feeling began to shift and curl around him before finally settling on his right wrist. He watched as it began to glow a soft pink before a black marking appeared, watercolor pink and purple settling beneath it.
He groaned as he made out exactly what the marking was.
His brothers were laughing, or rather rolling on the floor and trying to breath.
Finally, Jason was able to say it. "Demon Spawn has an Angel!" They began to laugh again. This time with his father snorting and Alfred smirking.
He face palmed and began to plan his revenge.
