Michael smiled to himself.
After today he knew that Calum also felt more than just friendship to him.
Why else would he take him on a date?
Well, both of them didn't mention the word 'date' but he hoped it was one.
They went to a restaurant which was decorated very festive. Calum loved it and Michael loved the spark in Calum's eyes and he loved everything else about the boy.
And Calum's hand was lying on the table and he was tapping his fingers against the wood. Michael had bitten his lip before placing his own hand shakily on top of his friends one.
He would never forget that smile Calum gave him in that moment and he was confident enough to intertwine their fingers and his heart was pounding so hard against his chest because their hands fitted together like puzzle pieces and he was so happy.
But, it wasn't just that what made the day perfect, no.
After eating, Michael decided to walk Calum home and no, their hands never let the each other go.
When they arrived at Calum's doorstep, it was kind of awkward at first.
Michael never was good with words so he just cupped Calum's cheeks and looked him in the eyes and probably fell even more for him.
Calum was breathing hard and he waited for the kiss he wished for but Michael, sadly, did not kiss him. At least not in the way he wanted to be kissed.
Michael leaned down and kissed his forehead before pulling him into the biggest hug Calum has ever received. And that was okay, it wasn't a proper kiss but it was something.
And it gave Calum hope that maybe someday him and Michael could be more than just friends.
He really wanted that
and so did Michael.

The texting part was a mess but that's okay because the other part was cute af.
Christmas confuses me, people already say it's christmas eve but for me christmas eve is on 24th and it's still the 23th. Whatever, in this story christmas eve is on the 24th and the chapter ends on 25th because that's the actual christmas day or something, I honestly have no idea :D
