*Hazel's POV*
"Who would have taken her?"
"I don't know..."
"You don't think it was an enemy seeking for revenge for the war...do you?"
"...I don't know..."
I stopped asking Piper questions and turned to look at Percy to the left at me.
We came back from searching the streets of Manhattan about 20 minutes ago. Now we were sitting around a table in the Big House at Camp Half-Blood. Percy hasn't said a word since then.
He sat next to me slumped over looking down and staring off into space.
"P-Percy?" I asked gently. "Are you-" I stopped. Asking him if he was ok was just a waist of breath. Of course he wasn't ok. Annabeth was missing. "What are you thinking?" I asked him instead.
He squeezed his eyes shut and buried his face in his hands.
"We don't have any idea who took her, where they look her, or why they took her. We don't have any leads to base our actions off of. What are we suppose to do?" Frank anxiously asked.
Percy suddenly slammed his hand on the table, making every jump. "We find her anyway. That's what we're gonna do! We keep looking, keep digging. I don't care what we have to do, but we aren't gonna give up!" Percy gritted his teeth together. He looked up from his lap with fury in his eyes.
"I know you want to find her Percy. We all do. And we will do everything in our power to find her, but we need to be careful. Not rash. " Chiron trotted into the room.
"Sorry, Chiron. Everyone else might follow your rules, but from this instant forward, I follow my own." Percy got up and started walking to the door.
I looked at everyone else and saw the same look as how I felt. Concern and fear.
"Percy..." Chiron grabbed Percy's arm before he went out the door. "Please think things through before you do anything..."
Percy looked at him, then back at us. "No promises." Then walked out.

*Percy's POV*
I couldn't get a good grip on my thoughts.
All I could feel was anger and worry.
All I could hear was my heart pounding and the blood rushing in my ears.
After I stormed out of the Big House, I found myself wandering to Annabeth's cabin.
I knocked on the door, and poked my head through the doorway.
I saw 7 set of eyes looking at me.
"Percy!" A girl named Lawrence Paige called out.
I stepped into full view and waved my hand. "Hey...could I come in?"
"Of course!" Lawrence and Malcolm exclaimed at the same time.
I walked through the door and went to Annabeth's bed. I picked up her invisibility cap and sat down, studying it.
"Oh Percy...I heard what happened...is Annabeth...is she really missing?" Lawrence whipped her eyes before any tears could fall. All of her siblings were looking at me.
I gripped the cap tightly in my hands. "Yeah...she is." A chorus of gasps and murmurs went around the room. I looked up and gave them a halfhearted smile. "Don't worry though. For 1: I'm gonna find her. I can promise you that. Nothing will stop me. And 2: considering who they decided to mess with...I'll be half of their worries. You don't mess with my wise girl without getting your butt kicked. Either by me, or Annie."
Malcolm let out a small laugh. "I don't think you've ever said something so smart Percy."
I smiled. Only a real one, even if it was small. "Mind if I take this?" I held up Annabeth's cap.
"By all means! Take any of her things." Lawrence said.
I picked up Annabeth's pillow and hat and walked out the cabin, giving everyone a nod.
I made my way back to my cabin, thinking of ways I could find her.
I laid her stuff on my bed and sat down. I studied the watch she had bought before she was taken. 'If only she wouldn't have gone out to buy me this. Then we wouldn't be going through this!' I shook my head. 'You are a pain...aren't you, wise girl...'

*2 hours later*
"Percy!" Grover tumbled through my door way. "Percy, come quick!"
"Why?" I asked, studying the pictures of the place where Annabeth was taken that Nico had taken on his phone.
"There is a package! It just showed up! By Thalia's tree!" He huffed.
"So? I think you guys can open a package without me being there. I have things I need to get done. Like finding my girlfriend."
"But Percy! The package is addressed to you."

I followed Grover into the Big House and found everyone sitting at the table scrutinizing the package.
I walked to my chair and grabbed the package, sitting down. I looked at it. It was just a brown cardboard box with my name and the camps address on it. No return to address or who it was from.
"Who do you think sent it?" Leo asked me.
I shook my head. "The only people that know about Camp Half-blood is my mom and Paul...and this isn't either of their hand writing..."
I uncapped Riptide and started cutting the tape on the box.
"Careful Percy...you never know what could be in there. A trap...maybe Greek fire...anything could be in there," Chiron warned.
I nodded my head and carefully opened it.
Inside was a laptop.
"A laptop? Who on earth would send you a laptop?" Piper questioned.
I took it out and opened the lid.
As everyone gathered behind and beside me, a file opened up.
"A video file?" Nico cocked his head. "Open it Percy."
I clicked accept and the screen was suddenly filled with a recording of a room.
There were no details. Just a black background and wood flooring. No windows or doors were in sight. In the middle of the room sat a chair. A girl with blonde curly hair was slumped over in the chair.
My heart stopped. My breath caught. A lump gathered in my throat.
"Annabeth!?" I gritted my teeth. She was in a white tank top and her jeans. A strip of blood was smeared in her hair. What scared me the most was that she wasn't moving!
Everyone behind me gasped. "What...where is she? Who did this to her?" Frank comforted Hazel who was shaking in fright and concern.
A man stepped into view on the screen. He was wearing a mask so I couldn't see his face. "Hello, Percy Jackson. I know this probably isn't something you want to see but I just had to let you know what was happening to your dear, little Annabeth Chase." The man walked behind her and grabbed her shoulders, causing me to snarl.
"Now don't worry. She isn't dead. We just sedated her. So she will be...out of commission for a while. We don't exactly want her to fight back." He grabbed her hair and yanked her head up showing us her face. It was deathly pale, but you could see slight movement on her shoulders, showing me she was still breathing.
I had a hard time not slamming the laptop closed and kicking it to next Tuesday. But I had to keep watching. I had to see if they would give hints as to where they took her or why.
The man let go of Annabeth's hair and let her head slump back down. "I know you are wondering why I took her...all I will tell you is this." The man ran his hands down Annabeth's arms. "Your weakness...Percy Jackson."
"DONT YOU DARE TOUCH HER!" I screamed, as if the guy in the recording could hear me.
"I will continue to keep you updated on how Miss Chase is doing. Go to this address: 7731 E 94th Steet for your next update. I will give you 8 hours."
The man walked up to the camera. "Oh, and by the way...call me Lupus." And the screen went blank.
Nobody made a sound. "Annabeth...!" Grover bit his bottom lip trying not to cry. For Hazel and Piper however, they didn't try to hold back any tears.
"What are going to do? How do we find her?" Piper crying into Jason's shirt.
"Why...Why would they do such a thing!" Leo slammed his hands on the table.
Jason, Nico, and Chiron all looked furious.
I just sat there...feeling numb. "
'My Annabeth...what do they want with her...with me?!'
I slammed the laptop closed and threw it onto the ground, causing everyone to jump. I stood up and glared at it, tears forming in my eyes. My breathing was heavy as I tried to swallow down my anger. 'Throwing a fit isn't going to help Annabeth come back to me...' I thought.
"Percy..." Frank murmured.
I have 8 hours until I get the next video...'think Percy, think!'
"That address...what was that address?" I turned back to the others who all cringed under my gaze.
"I-I believe it was 7731...E 94th Street." Hazel remembered.
I turned around and headed for the doors. "Meet me in here in a half hour..." I told them.
I made my way to my cabin.
'Hang in there, wise girl...I'm coming for you...I promise.'

so there it is! chapter 5!! hoped you enjoyed it!! some of there chapters might be shorter than some of the others like chapter 3...or was it 2....idk...but sorry about that...there is only so much i want happening in a chapter. vote comment or just read! all is appreciated!! xx :)
