*In Narrator's Voice*
Previously on Dragon Ball Z! After a long and grueling battle, Gohan managed to come out on top. Cell has been defeated thanks to the support he received from all his friends. It was a long and winding road but, at long last, Dr. Gero's scheme to kill Goku and to take over the world has been finally put to rest. Now, it's up for our heroes to tie-up some loose ends that Cell left for them such as bringing back the people he has killed back to life. Now, join us for this epic conclusion!
After Gohan defeated Cell, Piccolo and the other Z-Fighters surround him with faces that can barely hold the relief they're feeling. Piccolo tells Gohan, "You did it, Gohan, you defeated Cell and saved the Earth." Krillin replies, "Yeah, that was awesome! You can't believe just how incredible those Kamehameha were!" Yamcha replies, "Yeah, but I still can't shake this feeling that we're still not out of the dark yet. But enough about me, how are you feeling? Can you still get up?" Gohan then attempts to get up and successfully does so. He replies, "Yeah, don't worry, Mr. Yamcha. I may have given it all I got into that final Kamehameha but I can manage to get up." Tien replies, "That is thanks to your uncle's sacrifice in giving you the last Senzu Bean." Gohan replies, "And I'm grateful for that and why we need to bring Uncle Raditz as soon as possible." Tien replies, "Alright, I'll get Raditz and you get Ranch, Yamcha." Yamcha nods his head as he goes over to pick up Ranch's body. Suddenly, 13 approaches Gohan and places his hand on his shoulder and tells him, "That was a dang mighty Kamehameha battle if I've ever seen one good job, Gohan." Gohan asks, "13? I thought you were destroyed." 13 replies, "Not exactly. You see, after Cell had destroyed 16's body, I tried to help but I was overpowered by those freaks he called children. However, unlike poor 16, the Cell Juniors didn't exactly destroy my body, they simply took me apart gently and played with my parts. After 16 and your cousin gave their lives for you to release your power, that gave me the chance to put myself back together and just in time too." Gohan replies, "That's incredible! And thank you for helping me out back there. I'm not gonna lie when I say that I was in a bit of a pickle." 13 replies, "No problem, kid. However..." 13 takes his hat off and places on his chest and looks down as he tells Gohan, "Condolences on your loses. I can't imagine the pain of having no father, no uncle, or a cousin." After a moment of silence, Gohan begins laughing much to 13's confusion. He asks, "Uh, is there something funny I missed?" Gohan replies, "Don't worry, 13, we can still bring them back. The Dragon Balls, remember?" 13 asks, "Really? That's right, I completely forgot! Yee-haw! Let's go bring them back!" Everyone then yells out, "HOORAY!"
Meanwhile, back in Goku's house, everyone is left in shock as to what happened. After the last Kamehameha, Fortuneteller Baba's Magic Ball was destroyed due to the intense power of the Kamehameha. Chi-Chi asks in a bit of a panic, "What happened? Where's my Gohan? Please, tell me!" Chi-Chi proceeds to cry on Fortuneteller Baba's tunic and sneezes on it. Fortuneteller Baba replies, "Alright, alright! I'll tell you just stop! This is my last clean set and the rest are still at the dry cleaning store." Chi-Chi lets go and wipes her tears off. Fortuneteller Baba continues, "Alright, I don't know exactly what happened but using my fortunetelling skills, I can infer that Gohan... Lost?" Everyone is surprised to hear this, especially Chi-Chi who then shouts out, "What do you mean he lost?" Fortuneteller Baba replies, "Because he did! My fortunetelling skills have never been wrong before!" Launch replies, "No, I don't think so." Fortuneteller Baba asks, "And what do you know?" Launch replies, "I don't know but somewhere deep inside my gut, I know that Gohan won, I just know it." Fortuneteller Baba replies, "Well actual fortunetelling from an expert is more accurate than a gut feeling from an amateur." Launch replies, "Is that so? Then why don't we bet?" Fortuneteller Baba asks, "A bet?" Launch replies, "Yeah, if Gohan comes through the door then ya have to give me 10 million Zeni." Fortuneteller Baba asks, "10 million Zeni? That's insane!" Launch asks, "Why? Are ya a chicken?" Fortuneteller Baba replies, "You know what, I'll take part in this bet. However, if I was right then you're gonna have to be my servant and give me all the foot massages I want. Deal?" Launch hesitates for a bit but accepts the offer. Master Roshi then thinks to himself, If there even is still an Earth. Launch, I really hope you're right.
Meanwhile, back in the arena, 13 grabs Raditz's body, Yamcha grabs Ranch's body, and Piccolo and Tien grab Vegeta and Trunk's unconscious bodies each. They all then set sail for the lookout to meet up with Dende. As they leave, Mr. Satan and the news team emerge from the rubble. The news reporter asks, "What just happened? The boy was there for one second then Cell and this and that and... Oh, this is so confusing? Mr. Satan, can you explain what happened?" Mr. Satan is left at a complete loss of words until the news reporter asks, "Mr. Satan? Mr. Satan? Are you alright?" Mr. Satan snaps out of it and replies, "Uh... Yes! You see, during that light show, I got the boy out of there unharmed and then I dealt a serious blow to Cell on his stomach which sent that bug flying all the way into space and into the sun where he burned and disintegrated like the bug he was." The news reporter replies, "Well, there you have it, folks. Mr. Satan has saved the Earth once again! Everyone, give a round of applaud for Mr. Satan!" Everyone watching yells out Mr. Satan's name as they're relieved that their "hero" has "saved" the Earth once again. Back at the lookout, Dende tells Mr. Popo, "Look, they're over there!" Mr. Popo replies in relief, "Oh, I'm so glad they're safe!" Everyone then lands on the lookout where Dende proceeds to heal Trunks, Vegeta, and Gohan from their injuries and then everyone else. Gohan tells Dende, "Thanks, Dende! I'm so glad to see you!" Dende replies, "Me too but I'm really sorry to what happened to your father, uncle, and cousin." Gohan replies, "It's alright, they helped me through in my most desperate moment. They talked me through it and helped me overcome my greatest obstacle. They were by my side the entire time, encouraging me to defeat Cell. And not just that, the help from the rest of you really contributed to the demise of Cell and I thank you all for stepping in like that to help. You were all just like me during that moment, helpless but having the urge to continue on and fighting for what you believe in." Piccolo replies, "And for that, we're all proud of you. You're a true warrior. When I first trained you, I knew you had some latent ability inside of you but I never thought it would have been to that extent. Anyway, we're still not finished yet. First, we have to wish back Raditz and everyone else killed by Cell." Dende finished healing Trunks and Vegeta who asks, "W-Where am I?" Trunks replies, "The last thing I remembered was Raditz getting shot and I went berserk and I don't remember much after that." Gohan then approaches them and gives them a huge smile and tells them, "Cell is no more!" Shocked, Vegeta asks, "Cell has been... Cell has been defeated?" Gohan nods his head.
Trunks smiles back and replies, "Wow, Gohan, you did it. You really did it." Trunks then turns around to see his father just staring down at the ground as he sits. Vegeta then pounds the ground in anger and proceeds to fly off the lookout. Krillin asks, "What's up with him?" Trunks replies, "I think he needs some time alone. After what happened, I can't imagine that his pride is still in good shape. I really hope he gets over it or it might lead to mayhem down the road." Dende asks, "Well, shall we get started?" Everyone nods their heads as Mr. Popo prepares the Dragon Balls. Dende exclaims, "Come forth, Shenron! We summon you to grant our wishes!" The Dragon Balls begin glowing and the sky begins to darken. After a moment, Shenron emerges from the Dragon Balls. Everyone just looks calm except for Trunks who is astonished by what he sees. He asks, "Wow, so this is the legendary Shenron? I've heard stories of him from Mom and Raditz but I'd never thought something so amazing could exist." Yamcha replies, "Trust me, that's not even the best part yet." Shenron then asks, "Who summoned me? Speak forward thy wishes and I shall grant them." Yamcha asks, "Yo, Shenron! We were hoping for our first wish to be to bring back everyone killed by Cell." Shenron replies, "That is a simple wish. It shall be granted." Shenron's eyes glow bright red and, suddenly, Raditz and Ranch open their eyes. Ranch asks, "W-What just happened?" Raditz replies, "We were brought back to life by Shenron." Ranch is astonished by what she sees. She asks, "So that's Shenron? The Dragon that grants wishes?" Raditz replies, "Yes but, to be honest, this is my first time seeing him. I only ever saw the Dragon on Namek so this is pretty spectacular to me. He's so elegant." Gohan yells out, "Raditz! Ranch! You two are alright!" Gohan then runs over to his uncle and cousin and gives them a big hug. Raditz asks, "Hey, how are you kiddo?" Ranch replies, "Yeah, you did amazing out there! We're so proud of you!" Gohan replies, "Thanks! I couldn't have done it with either of you!" Raditz replies, "Yeah, you just needed some motivation. Say, is your father here?" Gohan replies, in a sad tone, "Unfortunately." Piccolo replies, "It's as I thought. Dende may have upgraded the Dragon but it still remembers the wish that brought Goku back after I accidentally killed him all that time back. He can't come back with these Dragon Balls." Raditz replies, "That just leaves Namek then. I'll make the trip there myself and bring him back myself." Krillin replies, "Better yet, why don't we ask Shenron to send you to Namek and then you can bring back your brother using Porunga and then ask him to send you and Goku back to Earth." Raditz replies, "That's a brilliant idea, baldy!" Yamcha replies, "Totally! Alright then, Shenron, we ask you that you teleport Raditz to Name-"
Suddenly, Yamcha is cut out by a voice who asks, "Hey, don't I get a say in this?" Everyone is startled to hear this but they soon realized that it was Goku's voice. Raditz asks, "Kakarot, is that you?" Goku replies, "Yeah, it's me. Anyway, I was doing some thinking up here and I realized something important that Bulma told me all these years back. She told me that I was like a magnet to all these bad guys. Just think about it, Raditz first arrived because of me which later brought Vegeta and Nappa. And now, Dr. Gero made the Androids because of me which let to some of the craziest experiences of our lives. Basically, what I'm trying to say that perhaps it's best that I stay where I am right now. I know this might come out a bit selfish but I'm really doing it to keep everyone I love safe from harm and I couldn't bear the burden if something bad were to happen to you guys and it was all my fault. So, for now, this is goodbye. I'll miss you guys and I'm sure you're wondering what I'm gonna do but I'm gonna manage just fine. Apparently, there's a bunch of strong guys here across from many planets and many time periods so that can keep me distracted until then. King Kai has also been restored back to life but he's still missing his planet so he'll just show me the place around in the meantime." Gohan asks, "But, you're coming back someday, right?" Goku replies, "Trust me, it wasn't an easy decision for me to make either but I've deprived you of your childhood and I want you to make the most of it while you can without me having to boss you around or anything. Besides, I got nothing left to teach you." Gohan replies, "But that doesn't mean that I don't need you." Goku replies, "I know, son, but you still have a lot ahead of you and while I may not be around, you'll always have your uncle, your aunt, your mother, and, most importantly, your friends. I'll miss you all." Raditz replies, "Hold on, Kakarot, don't be so rash. What would Chi-Chi think? Besides, we still have plenty of years to train together as brothers." Goku replies, "Raditz, I knew that this would fall the hardest on you. You're my brother and I love you. I definitely enjoyed all that time we spent together training for the Androids. It's something that I'll cherish always. Anyway, I really don't want Launch and the others waiting up for too long. They're probably worried sick about us. With that said, I just want to say that you should all live life to the fullest and take care. Goodbye, until we meet again!" Goku then cuts communication with him and his friends and family one last time.
Yamcha comments, "You know, Goku has always been that way. No matter how dire the situation was, he was always optimistic." Tien replies, "Yeah and he was an amazing person overall. Kind and generous." Piccolo replies, "And he was a stunning warrior who respected the art of battle. He even overcame his opponents no matter how powerful they were even to the end." Gohan replies, "My dad was always nice to those he met no matter how horrible they were." Raditz replies, "And Kakarot was a one of a kind Saiyan. No one can come close to the person he was. He forgave me even when I hurt him so badly. He gave me a second chance and I thank him for that. Without it, I may never have had real friends who care for me or a beautiful wife and child. Kakarot, I'll miss you." A moment of silence then enrolls as everyone remembers Goku. The screen then fades to black and the end... Wait! We forgot about Shenron! "Uh? You do realize that I've been waiting for you to make your second wish, right?" Everyone then focuses their attention on Shenron. Yamcha asks, "Oh yeah, that's right! Does anyone have any kind of wish?" Ranch replies, "We could restore King Kai's planet." Raditz replies, "Yeah, good idea. It's about time that I start making it up to him. Alright then, Shenron may I please-" Suddenly, Krillin asks Raditz, "Uh, hey, mind if I tell you my suggestion?" Raditz replies, "Uh, alright, but make it quick." Krillin replies in relief, "Thank you, Raditz! Anyway, Shenron is it possible for you to revert Android 17 and 18 back into humans?" Surprised to hear Krillin's wish, Yamcha asks, "What are you doing, man?" Krillin replies, "Hey, I thought it would be worth a shot." Shenron then responds, "I'm afraid that I cannot grant that wish. The power of the Androids surpasses that of my own. Please make another wish." Krillin looks down for a second until he raises his head with another wish in mind. "Alright, Shenron, how about this? Can you remove the bomb implanted inside both of them?" Shenron replies, "Let me see... Alright, I have concluded that this I can do." Shenron proceeds to grant the wish.
Elsewhere, 17 and 18 are in the middle of a forest and they felt the effect of Krillin's wish. 18 asks, "17, call me crazy but I swear I felt as I got lighter." 17 replies, "Perhaps being blasted to bits makes you lose weight faster. I think you should do it more often." 18 replies sarcastically, "Haha, very funny. Still, don't you feel it?" 17 replies, "Actually, yeah, I do. I think the component where our bombs are located are entirely gone." 18 asks, "Yeah, I think so too but what does this mean?" 17 replies, "Eh, beats me and I honestly couldn't care less. Anyway, what's important is our next course of action." 18 asks, "Like getting revenge on 13 and Raditz?" 17 replies, "No. Look, sis, revenge is a luxury we can't afford. The only thing we can do right now is to move on with our lives." 18 asks, "Move on? How can we move on? We're seen as outcasts no matter where we go." 17 replies, "I know that and it won't be easy these first few months but deep down I know that we'll be able to blend in with everyone and I could meet a nice lady and you a handsome man and who knows? We could probably have kids of our own. So, what do you say?" 18 replies, "I mean yeah but where will we even start?" 17 asks, "Remember that zoo we used to go to when we were kids?" 18 replies, "I think so." 17 replies, "Well, I was thinking about applying for a job there. You know, to make some cash." 18 asks, "Alright, but why a zoo?" 17 replies, "I don't know actually but maybe it's because I want to carry out 16's love of nature and protect Mother Nature herself." 18 replies, "I guess you're right. After all, 16 did help defend me from 13 and Cell as best he could and..." 18 then gets emotional and her eyes began to get watery. However, 17 places his hands on his sister's shoulder and tells her, "Hey, now, don't you cry on me. You're a big girl now, sis, and I promise that I'll do whatever it takes to make 16 proud and to start a brand new life." 18 wipes her tears off and asks, "17, why are you doing this? You've always told me that society is nothing more than a prison, that we were meant to go against the rules and to just be ourselves. So why the sudden change?" 17 replies, "Look, sis, being inside Cell made me realize how short life can be. Knowing that was the end of our lives and we didn't leave anything behind. When we died, our whole image died. No one would know us or remember us. The only thing we would have left was having a reputation of just some random street thugs. Honestly, I can't bear to think about that." 18 replies, "17, that was deep, I never knew that you felt that way." 17 replies, "And you can stop calling me 17. We're no longer under the control of Dr. Gero. So, call me by my real name, Lazuli." Lazuli replies, "Whatever you say, Lapis." Lapis then rips the Red Ribbon Army logo off his shirt and burns it. He then says, "From this day forward, we make ourselves be known to the world that we're not all that bad. For 16!" Lazuli replies, "For 16!" The two then yell out for, "For 16!" Thus concludes the story of the Androids.
Meanwhile, Shenron tells the Z-Fighters, "I have removed the bombs from Androids 17 and 18. Farewell." Shenron then disappears and the Dragon Balls scattered around the planet once again. 13 places his hand on Krillin's shoulder and tells him, "You did the right thing, partner." Krillin blushes and replies, "Well, it's not that big of a deal. Anyway, what are you going to do, 13?" 13 replies, "Well, I kinda have no clue but there is something I wanted to ask." Krillin asks, "And what would that be?" 13 turns to Raditz and asks him, "Hey, Raditz, me and the other Androids were at your house a few days back." Raditz replies, "I know. My wife threw a fit when her favorite outfits were gone." 13 replies, "While we were there, I couldn't help but notice that farm of yours. It's definitely a piece of work." Raditz asks, "Okay? And where does that get us?" 13 replies, "Well, I was hoping if I could stay with you if that's okay with you and your wife. I promise I'll help out a lot on the farm." Raditz replies, "I don't know, we were mortal enemies just a while ago so..." Gohan then asks 13, "How come you're not staying with Bulma? After all, she did repair you." 13 replies, "Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful for all that she and her father did but I'm simply not built for city life. Life out in the country with a farm to tend to is my definition of a satisfying life." Raditz replies, "Still, I'm not so sure about this." Ranch replies, "I think you should let him stay. Think about it, you want to earn money right?" Raditz nods his head. Ranch asks, "But you still want to train, right?" Raditz nods his head again. "You see? By allowing 13 to come and live with you. He can do all the work and you can spend all that time training." Raditz thinks about it for a while and comes to a conclusion. Raditz approaches 13 and places his hand over his shoulder and tells him, "Alright, I've decided that you can come. However, what will really determine this is if my wife approves. Other than that, if she does approve then you must obey every rule she tells you, alright?" 13 replies, "Consider it done." Then, Raditz and 13 shake hands.
Tien then tells everyone, "Alright, I think should be headed back. Chiaotzu is probably worried sick about me. Now, I may not ever get as strong as you or your father, but I'm going to train even harder than I've had so we may not see each other for a while so take care, Gohan and everyone else." Gohan and everyone else bid their farewells to Tien as he flies off. Gohan then asks, "Hey, Trunks, when are you and Ranch going back to the future?" Trunks replies, "I don't know just yet but I'm definitely making sure I get a good night's sleep tonight." Ranch then cuddles Trunks and tells him in a seductive tone, "I'll make sure you sleep real good tonight, Trunks." Trunks blushes and tells Ranch, "Ranch, not in front of Gohan or your father." Everyone then laughs. Gohan then asks Piccolo, "So, what are you going to do?" Piccolo replies, "Obviously I'm still going to train but when I'm not I'll definitely be mediating up here." Gohan asks, "So you're gonna live here?" Piccolo replies, "Pretty much since I have nowhere else to go and I was the Guardian of Earth so I guess I can if that's fine with you, Dende." Dende replies, "No problem! I would definitely like another Namekian around here." Gohan replies, "That's great! I'll definitely make sure to come and visit you guys up here." Dende and Piccolo smile. Gohan then tells everyone, "Alright, it sure has been one heck of a ride but I'm glad we made it all out. Anyway, see you, Mr. Piccolo, Dende, Mr. Popo, Yamcha, Trunks, and Krillin. A new day awaits us all! Until we meet again guys!" Everyone then says their goodbyes and some of them go their separate ways. Gohan, Raditz, Ranch, and 13 now fly and make their way home. Elsewhere, Vegeta flies as fast as he can as he thinks to himself, Kakarot... First, he's beaten me by his own actions and then through his son's. Even Raditz did more than I ever could. And what have they left for me here? How? How could you die like that? How, Kakarot? I'll never have the chance to prove myself to both of you now. You and your brother both died trying to save us and what does that make of me? I am no warrior and I'll never fight again.

Cell has at long last been defeated and now our heroes can rest easy now knowing that the Earth is in safe hands once more. However, Trunks and Ranch now possess the power to defeat the Androids of their timeline but will it be enough? And will Goku's legacy be carried out by his son? Will Chi-Chi be angry?
