19. Your Own Life to Live

I went out and bought a looottt of eggs and bacon and sausage and pancake mix and orange juice and coffee. I came back and made breakfast.

"Dude you really are an angel." Diego came in. I had him help me with the bacon. "Can you just like move in?" Asked Tony coming in and I laughed. "Ah that's where you went." Theo rolled on out.

Matt went and bought more food because it wasn't enough.

A jolly jumper slide was brought and set up. They added water and soap to it. These guys go all out for barbecues.

Gabby and a few other girls came to help set up. She brought me a bathing suit along with an outfit.

Theo asked me to help him change and I gladly did. "Are you comfortable?" I asked and he nodded. "I need a drink." He muttered. "Theo you can't.. you're taking medication." He sighed. "I'll stay sober with you." He grabbed my hand and kissed it. "Thank you." I smiled.

"Give your arms a break, I'll push you." All the brothers are here, their friends are over. People from other fraternities and sororities are over as well. Some of which we associate as well but Beta is our number one Greek organization.

We were talking to a few people. "Lia?" I ignored him and glared at Savannah. The nerve she has showing up here. He grabbed my wrist as I took a step forward. She turned and looked at us.

"Please.. just let me beat her ass once Theo. Please." He chuckled. "She's not worth it. I don't want you getting kicked out of UF for a stupid fight. I need you." He does. If I get kicked out I won't be able to help him. I sighed and relaxed. "Okay."

"C'mon, Kevin signaled the foods done." I grabbed a hot dog for now and Theo prepared himself a burger. "Not gonna lie your burger looks so good right now." He chuckled and held it out for me to take a bite which I gladly did.

Ketchup dripped onto my chin and he wiped it away. "Thank you."

"Hey uhh can we talk?" I heard behind me. Theo just looked at me "I'll be back." He kept a blank stare. I set my half eaten hot dog down and stood up.

Isaiah and I walked into the house. "What are we?" He asked and I shrugged. "You're really gonna throw everything we had for him?"

"You left me alone Isaiah! While he was dying dude!" He sighed. "I'll always love him there's no denying. You helped me get over him or at least you started. Cold hearted you just made me think differently of you." He frowned. "I'm sorry. I've had multiple run ins with the law. I just didn't want to put myself back there."

"Look I'm gonna be honest with you Isaiah. I did like you. A lot. But right now I don't think I'm capable of balancing a relationship. My priority right now is Theodore and helping him get better. Whether you like it or not, I can never not be there for him. First of all, our families are close so I can't run from him. I refuse to have him go through this situation without someone he knows inside and out. I'm sorry." He rolled his eyes. "Whatever dude." He walked away.

I walked back and my hot dog was gone. I looked at Theo who shrugged. "It was getting cold." He said while chewing the last bite. I just laughed. "So how did that go with your boyfriend?"

"He's not my boyfriend." He grinned and I laughed. "Stop it."

"What? I hope this means I can get another chance in the future." I smiled. "We'll see Theodore."

"I've always hated being called that but when you do it, it sounds sexy." I laughed. "Okay big boy." He chuckled. "Lia! We're getting on the jumper, you comin?" Asked Gabs. I looked at Theo.

"Go. You don't have to be looking after me at all times. It's not your job and I don't expect you to. You still have your own life to live. I'll be fine. Go have fun." I kissed his cheek. "I won't be gone too long."


I had fun just letting go with the girls on the jolly jumper.

I dried myself then changed after my hands started looking like a grandmas hands.

"You had fun." Laughed Theo as I walked back out. "I did." I smiled. "Jake called you so I answered." I nodded.
