No ones Pov: Little Payton has a new favorite toy and it's Taylers chains. He tugged and twisted at them head resting on Taylers chest he was completely zoned in on them paci in his mouth he didn't even hear the boys talking around him.
"The rest of the guys are going to get dinner soon do y'all want to go" Jaden asked the group
While he got a chorus of yeses Griffin and Tayler shared a look.
"What about Payton"they asked
"What about him" Bryce said
"He's still little" Tayler says like it's so obvious
"He was fine being little in public earlier" Bryce says
"Yeah but the only other people that know about little Payton are Kevin and Harrison and even then they still haven't seen him be little" Griffin says
"It's up to you guys if you take him out if you do we'll stick close keep the others from talking to him much" Noen says
"Hey bud" Tayler says catching the littles attention
"Do you want to go get dinner with everyone" he asks
Payton looks up at the older boy and softly nods his head. The little was hungry he wasn't really thinking about all the people he would have to see if he went.
Tayler gently moved Payton out of his lap and the boys were gathering their wallets and putting on their shoes and Payton just sat on the bed watching.
"Payton bud you gotta get ready" Anthony told him but the little just looked at him not moving.
"Do you want help buddy" Anthony asked carefully and Payton nodded softly.
Anthony went to Payton's suitcase and picked out a simple T-shirt and shorts and helped the boy change out of his onesie and into the clothes he'd picked out.
"Need help with shoes too bud"Anthony asked he received another nod it was a bit startling how still and quite Payton seemed to be.
Once he had the little completely ready he stood him up from the bed and him and the boys made their way out of the room.
Being in a short sleeve shirt with no hoodie and not having his pacifier Payton didn't know what to do he felt stuck between big and little headspace he was so desperately trying to stay little and he was beginning to panic as soon as he was out the door of the room.
Payton makes it halfway down the hall before he just stops. The boys don't notice right away but when they do Tayler and Griffin come back to check on him.
"Come on bud we got to go"
Payton pouts he releases a whine trying to find his words
"Paci please" he mumbles
"Payton you can't have it when we go out" Griffin tries to tell him but he just whines desperately looking to Tayler for help
"Please" he says again near tears
The boys hearts are breaking seeing how distressed Payton is becoming
"I'm sorry buddy we can't take it with us but it'll be okay we can even get dessert okay" Tayler says softly Gently taking the littles hand.
Payton calms slightly with his hand in Taylers he squeezes it tightly afraid to let go rocking slightly on his feet not quite settled. Griffin gently takes the boys other hand with a smile
"Bub you're okay we're right here" Griff tells him softly
"Do we need to go back to the room we can just have the boys bring us something back" Tayler asks concerned
Payton didn't mean to make the boys worry he try's to shake his head
"Hoodie" he asks softly he just feels overwhelmed and exposed right now
Instead of going back to the room Griffin immediately pulls off his hoodie handing it to the little boy
Payton tugs it on as quick as he can the hoodie is huge on him he's practically swimming in it but he relaxes in it. It's smells like griffin warm and woodsy like his cologne it's comforting. Once the hoodie is on he holds back onto the boys hands and nods
"You okay buddy" Tayler asks
Payton hums a yes and they make their way back to the rest of the boys down the hall.
The group makes it to the lobby to meet the rest of the boys they are gonna walk to a nearby chili's. Payton eventually has to let go of Griffins hand but he holds tightly to Tayler walking as close as possible to him.
At chili's Payton is sat against the wall Tayler next to him and Griffin right across from him. Tayler has realized that Little Payton has trouble talking like he couldn't find his words so he orders his drink for him when the waiter first comes to the table.
Tayler has set Payton up to play a game on his phone and the small boy is sat quietly playing. When the waiter comes to bring drinks back the group looses it laughing and at first Payton doesn't even notice but when he looks up the boys laugh harder.
"What funny" Payton whispers to Tayler
"Nothing buddy they are just silly" Tayler tells him softly placing the boys cup in front of him.
The whole reason the boys where laughing is because the waiter had brought Payton's drink in a kids cup patterned on the sides with a lid.
Tayler has just thanked her with a soft smile and ignored the boys.
"Hey buddy what are you playing" Griffin asks
"Colors" Payton says
"Can I see" Griffin asks
Payton slides the phone over to show him it's one of those color by number apps and the picture is a half done Puppy.
"That's really good baby" Griffin says handing the phone back
The name baby has a blush spreading across Payton's cheeks instantly and he giggles a little biting at his lip.
When it's time to order Tayler once again orders for Payton. Tayler and Griffin catch eyes with Harrison and Kevin who sit on the either side of Sam. They are giving knowing looks glancing at Payton.
Dinner goes pretty smoothly Payton is content eating his chicken strips and giggling at the silly faces Bryce makes at him secretly from down the table. And Tayler fulfills his promise of dessert which makes a very happy little boy?
After dinner on the way home Bryce takes Payton's hand and skips happily along with the group making the little giggle happily.
Kevin and Harrison make their way over to Griffin and Tayler to talk.
"Is he little right now" Kevin asks
"Yeah he's doing better being in public than I thought" Tayler tells them happily
"He's pretty shy and extremely dependent when he's little" Griffin tells them he's not looking at them though he's keeping a watchful eye on Payton and Bryce
After a few minutes of discussing Payton, Harrison suddenly blurts out
"We started with Sam"
"We?!"
"Sam?!"
Tayler and Griffin say at the same time confused
"Me and Kevin talked to Sam after what we Noen and Chase told us because I think he's been acting different maybe it's just cause I'm his big brother so it was easier to tell but he just seemed off Soo we talked to him and he just broke down sobbing and I don't know suddenly we had a little Sam on our hands" Harrison try's to explain
"But why the two of you together" Griffin asks
"Um well we're kinda dating" Kevin says softly
"It's about time" Tayler laughs
"I feel like a idiot" Griffin mumbles
The boys congratulate eachother when suddenly they hear a loud thud and crying
Griffin and Tayler look over and find Payton on the ground they rush to his side immediately.
"He tripped" Bryce says and Griffin kneels next to the boy on the ground
"Hey buddy wheres it hurt" Griffin asks the smaller boy he sat on his butt in the middle of the sidewalk
Payton's eyes water his bottom lip trembling as he holds out his scrapped up palms
"That's not to bad buddy it'll feel better soon let's get you to the hotel and cleaned up" Griffin says helping the boy stand
As Payton goes to put weight on his left leg though he whimpers and his knees wobble. Tayler holds the boy up and Griffin crouches down to look at Payton's leg.
He finds a fairly nasty scrape bleeding on The boys ankle.
"Okay baby lets get you back" Griffin says softly
He lifts the smaller boy thankful for how light he is and they begin the walk back to the hotel. The boys stick close to Griffin as he carries Payton hoping to avoid having to explain what happened.
They manage to get away with a simple "he tripped and he's gonna he fine"
Once back in the hotel room Griffin takes Payton into the bathroom and sets him on the counter.
"Okay baby let me get a good look at your ankle"
Payton lets Griffin look at his ankle it's no longer bleeding just scraped up.
"Can you move your ankle buddy" Griff asks the small boy.
Payton wiggles his foot gently
"Okay I think you just got a bit scraped up doesn't seem spranged or broken" Griffin says to both Payton and the boys waiting worriedly at the door.
Tayler walks in and gently strokes Payton's hair the little leans into the touch happily
"You know buddy I bought some bubble bath at the store would you like to take a bath" Tayler asks the small boy
And Payton nods shyly
"Okay baby we can do that" Tayler says as Griffin starts the bath.
