My throat felt like it was on fire. I felt horrible. I had been coughing and feeling sick all day. No amount of water or anything helped.
I decided not to move out of bed. I just wanted to rest. I knew my husband Nick would be home from the gym soon. I didn't want him to know how bad I really felt.
"Y/n" he says gently knocking on our bedroom door before waking into the room.
"Hey babe how was the gym?" I ask. My voice was extremely raspy.
"It was good" he says happily. "Why are you still in bed love?" He asks curiously
"I just don't feel good. My throat hurts. And I've had a migraine for the last few hours."
His face fell as he climbed into bed with me. "Go back to sleep babe. I'll be right here holding you"
"Aren't you afraid of getting sick?"
"That doesn't matter to me. All that matters is my wife getting better"
"You're the best" I say as he wraps his arms tightly around me.
"Shh. don't talk babe. Go to sleep" he says kissing my forehead.
