~ Time Skip - Y/N's POV ~
So, I haven't told anybody this.. but my addiction to the static pills has gotten.. out of hand.
I just can't stop taking them.
I have to have downed atleast 72 bottles in total.
I don't think it's safe, but I mean nothing bad has really happened besides nausea, so I guess I'll keep taking them until something actually life threatening happens to me.
I was just heading back from training, when suddenly I heard something from a far.. I'll always hear things from a far considering the pills enhanced my hearing range, but.. this was different. Somebody sounded as if they were terrified for their life. Now, hearing things like this was pretty normal considering this is a camp of killers but.. something just felt off.
I needed to see what it was,
I put on my gas mask, grabbed onto my bat and started running towards the area of the noise. Every second I got closer, the more the atmosphere became queasy and like something was really wrong.
The leaves and branches crunched under my sneakers as I ran with all my energy. What the hell is happening? And why does everything feel so terribly wrong..
As I came closer and closer to the noise, I heard the voices of three men. One of them was highly distressed.
I crouched down and slowly stalked towards the scene, I hid behind a tree and then peeked my head from the side of the tree,
What I saw shocked me, there were two men in cloaks and holding weapons, making it so I couldn't see who they were and then Jay was on the ground looking cut and bloody pleading for them to go.
I can't just let this happen! Jay can't just die for the second time! I- I need to do something..
As they continued to hit him repeatedly I decided that waiting would do nothing as I jumped out from the bushes and hit the cloaked men with my bat as hard as I could. The nails of my bat dug into their skin and they yelled in pain as the scent of blood filled the air. They finally managed to scramble up and run away.
"Are you okay?" I asked Jay
He shook his head, unable to speak due to shock.
"Who were those guys?" I asked as I helped him up from the ground
"I think I know but.. I don't think I should tell anybody.." he mumbled miserably
"Well, let's get you to the Health Department." I smiled sadly as I helped him walk out of the bushes
"Thank you by the way.. They would've most likely killed me." He sighed
"No problem." I shrugged
I just saved somebody's life.
~ Time Skip ~
I got Jay to the Health Department and Dr. Smiley was currently putting on the last bandage around Jay's badly cut arm.
"How did this happen again?" Dr. Smiley asked me in concern
"Apparently two cloaked guys attacked him, but he refuses to tell anybody who they were and why they did it." I glanced over at Jay who looked down in guilt
"Well, atleast you got him here in under ten minutes." Dr. Smiley sighed
"What do you mean?" I asked in confusion
"If he were to be out there any longer then 10 minutes, he would've died from blood loss." Dr. Smiley shivered as he told me "Anyways, he's all good now and you're free to go back to your Cabins."
Jay hopped down from the counter he was on and we both left while thanking Dr. Smiley.
As we walked to our Cabin, Jay finally spoke again,
"It was two of the proxies.. who attacked me. It wasn't a camper." He looked down
But.. who would've attacked him? He hasn't even met any of the other proxies besides Toby, Jack and Dr. Smiley..
"Good to know.." I muttered as I continued to think
We continued walking for a while in silence before we made it to Cabin #9.
We walked inside and were greeted by Toby who was sitting on the couch enjoying some waffles.
"Hey guys, why is Skully wearing a bunch of bandages..?" Toby asked in confusion as he finished his last waffle
"-uh nothing.. I just fell down from a tree.." Jay shrugged
"Oh, okay I guess." Toby shrugged as he got up
"Where are you going?" I asked him disappointingly
He paused,
"...washroom.. I'll only take a few minutes.." Toby muttered as he walked off
Something just isn't right with him lately, but I guess I should respect him and shut up.
"You wanna play UNO? Just a fair warning tho, you'll probably lose because I'm absolutely amazing at it." Jay crossed his arms in an confident way as he pulled out a deck of UNO cards from his pocket
"You just carry those in your pocket around with you?" I faintly laughed
"You never know when you'll need 'em!" He said as he started shuffling the cards on a small table
~ Toby's POV ~
I stared at my bloody arms for awhile.
I can't keep doing this..
I sighed as I pulled down my sleeves and left the washroom. As I closed to the door and turned around, Credits bumped into me.
"Oh, sorry Toby I didn't see you there." She shrugged "Are you okay? You seem all jumpy."
"..I'm fine." I muttered as I hid my arms behind my back so she wouldn't see my bloody sleeves
"Okay.." she turned around and walked away
That was close.. I'm bored, maybe I'll go visit X-Virus, I haven't seen him in forever.
I left the hallway but before I left, I took a slight glance at Y/N and smiled.
She's amazing..
I started walking far down a path towards a far cabin known as Cabin #79, it's also the cabin X-Virus happens to be in. I walked for about ten minutes passing the camp buildings and every once and a while I'd pass a cabin, to my sorrow tho, I had the misfortune of passing Clockwork's cabin..
She was flipping her knife in her hands on her little cabin patio when suddenly she saw me,
"Toby!!" She shrieked as she ran towards me and tackled me to the ground "What brings you here~?"
"Get off of me, for the last time I don't like you!" I grumbled as I pushed her off
"Oh, you'll come around pumpkin." She sighed happily
"Whatever." I sighed in annoyance as I jumped up and walked off
"Byeeee!!" She called out
Man I hate her..
I walked for awhile until I managed to pass BEN and Jeff's cabin, oh the sorrow..
"Hey you twitchy annoying insane hatchet-wielding maniac!" Jeff laughed as he came up to me
"I'm heading towards Cabin #79." I sighed as I pushed his face away and walked a meter before BEN teleported infront of me,
"Don't be an ass today, Toby!" BEN complained
"I think I'm fine, thanks.." I grumbled and pushed him out of the way "maybe I'll stop by later but I'm going to see X-Virus."
"You mean that kid that copied you?" Jeff asked in confusion
"He doesn't copy me, we just have similar personalities and stuff." I sighed in irritation before finally leaving
I walked for about 10 more minutes, trying to avoid everybody until I finally reached Cabin #79.
Finally!
I knocked on the door and soon enough some girl with black hair and a dark brown cardigan opened the door,
"Oh hello there, you're probably looking for X-Virus, correct? I'll go tell him.. my name is Maria by the way, I'm one of the campers." She said in a tone that I could barely hear, I nodded and she left
She talks a lot..
After a minute, X-Virus showed up and let me inside,
"Hey, Toby! What's up?" He smiled while he made some sort of potion-like stuff with test tubes.
"Just came to stop by..!" I shrugged and fake-smiled
"Uh.. are you okay?" He looked up at me from his test tubes
"..yeah, I'm fine." I sighed as I plopped down onto the couch
"If you say so." He shrugged "anyways, what are your campers like?"
"Well, I have two campers named Credits and Y/N. Credits kinda annoys me but Y/N is.. amazing.. she's really the best." I smiled thinking about her
"Well, I have Maria who I assume you've met and I have Leo." He made a weird horse-like noise with his lips and plopped onto the couch next to me
"Well atleast they don't have annoying friends like-" before I could finish, two cloaked figures crashed through the window and pointed guns at me and X-Virus.
Great.. why is everything being so weird and mysterious lately?
"Tell us where Jay is and you guys won't die." One of them spoke angrily
Me and X-Virus quickly stood up and stayed silent.
"Now!" The second one yelled
"And why should we tell you guys? We kill for a living! You don't scare us." X-Virus snapped and rolled his eyes as he crossed his arms
"You kids better not make the wrong choice.." the first one grumbled
"Kids?!" Me and X-Virus said at the same time "we aren't that young!"
"You two are teenagers, and teenagers are kids!" The second one yelled getting annoyed
"Actually, I'm 19!" I stuck my tongue out at him
"And the other?" The second one grumbled
"..he's 17." I muttered realizing
"Oh shut up, I'm almost 18!" X-Virus said annoyed
"See!" The first one yelled "now, where is Jay and Y/N?!"
..Y/N..? He wants.. to hurt my sunshine? Nobody will ever touch my sunshine with bad intentions..
Suddenly my anger grew so much I jumped down and used my leg to make them both trip over, one hit the wall so hard it knocked him out. I grabbed the one who was concious' neck,
"Don't ever go near Y/N.. got it?" I angrily grumbled at him as he struggled to get my hand off of his neck
I kicked him in the face and it sounded like I broke his nose. He fell unconscious and I got up. I wiped the small drops of blood from my gloves onto my hoodie and looked down at the two strangers,
Who are they?
I need to talk to Y/N about this, maybe she knows who they are.
