Gloria finished packing up the truck and went to help Tess into the front seat
"Where are we going? The shower just started"
"It's a surprise", Vanessa yelled from the backseat
"What she said", Gloria put her seatbelt on and started turned the key
"Something tells me my fiance has something to do with this"
"She hates surprises", Saen added
"You know what is so beautiful about surprises?"
"Pray tell"
".....if a man goes through the effort to put a surprise together.....he's a keeper"
Tess smiled thinking about how much effort Mitchell really has gone through for her, "I don't deserve him....I should do something for him to make up for everything he's done for me"
"I think giving him a child of his own and accepting his proposal is more than enough for him", Gloria winked at her
"I've truly never seen Mitchell this in love, I've known him since high school....he was a bit of a rake, excuse me Mrs. Lorraine", Vanessa blushed as she looked towards the older lady
Lorraine waved it away and chuckles, "You've known him a long time but I gave birth to the man I know what he was like before this gorgeous woman came along"
"You guys think much too highly of me"
"Well everything is true....you completely turned that man's world upside down...", Gloria said while keeping her eyes firmly on the road, "....he was a broken man before you....you have given him something to look forward too"
"Well he did the same for me"
"Very true", Saen said biting into a piece of chocolate
"What is it with you and carbs on this trip....I though you were watching you're figure"
"Hey if YOU get to eat what you want-"
"Shut up I'm eating for two"
"Are you sure you two aren't brother and sister?", Mandy said making everyone laugh

"When was the last time you heard anything?"
"About Mitchell? Ugh I haven't heard anything since that night"
Vivian sipped on her cocktail and looked over her sunglasses at Diane and the other girls
"Well there's a lot of fish in the sea you know.....time to move on", Carol added from her spot on the lounger
"Look Diane why don't you let us give you a proper makeover....maybe get you a nice swimsuit?"
Diane scoffed at Vivian, "I don't think so"
Vivian rolled her eyes, "Men like women who are confident in their own skin"
"Don't care"
"Oh I think you do....otherwise you wouldn't have ended up at you're ex's house watching him banging his current girlfriend"
"Well they weren't technically....."
"Look Diane.....", Sharon finally spoke up, "...I know it's scary....after my divorce I was terrified but now I'm so free and happy and my kids finally accepted my life. Carol and Bruce finally worked through their problems, Vivian is happy with Arthur.....the only one who keeps sulking around is you"
Diane sighed and looked down at her over sized outfit, Sharon teached out to stroke her arm, "I know it's hard but you can't get attached when you put yourself out there, if it didn't work out with Mitchell just try with someone else"
Diane smiled at her nodding her head in agreement, "You're right...."
"GREAT! Now let's talk-"
"No makeovers Vivian"
"Ugh.....well then let's call this weekend the official 'Get Over Mitchell' weekend!"
"Um..."
Everyone looked to Carol who was staring at something over the brim of her sunglasses so they all looked to see what she was gawking at
"OH"
"MY"
"GOD"
They said in unison. In the distance Mitchell, his three friends and a young boy walked towards the pool area in their swimsuits laughing and talking
"What are they doing here?", Carol asked while they all still stared at the four men
Vivian rolled her eyes, "They all live here idiot"
"Oh yeah"
"Oh My God"
"I think we covered that Diane", Vivian looked to Diane and saw her looking to her left at something else completely, "....what?"
Diane pointed out with a shaky finger, "That's her"
The women all turned their attention to where Diane was pointing, three women followed by a man all in their swimsuits and covers approuched the pool waving at the men party
Mitchell embraced Tess and pecked her lips then crouched down to place a kiss on her stomach
Sharon was the first to say the obvious, "She's pregnant"

"Where's the girls?", Rob asked walking to Vanessa and kissing her on the cheek
"They wanted to explore.....you know.....teenagers"
He nodded and hugged her kissing her head, Mitchell smiled at Tess as they stared into each others eyes lovingly and pecking each other on the lips every few seconds
"One would swear you two only see each other every few years"
"Hey it's not my fault she looks so damn good in a swimsuit", he hugged her tighter
She laughed throwing her head back, "I feel like a walrus in this thing"
"You look gorgeous baby"
"Woah do you guys see that?", Gloria said seeing four familiar faces
"Is that?....", Vanessa said squinting to get a better look
Mitchell put a hand above his forehead to block out the sun, "Oh you have GOT to be shitting me"
"Mitchell....", Tess tried calming him by putting a hand on his shoulder
"No you know what this CAN'T be a fucking coincidence....."
"Baby...."
"I'm gonna give her a piece of my mind"
He tried breaking away but Tess pulled him back by his arm, "Mitchell it's ok"
He looked at her with pleading eyes, "Baby I promise this isn't-"
She put a finger on his lips, "I know....I'm over it"
He took a deep breath and smiled at her, "You're right...."
"Can someone fill me in?"
Everyone turned to Saen who was staring at all the commotion with the utmost confusion
"That is Mitchell's ex", Kurt said with nod of his head
"Which one?"
"The one with the white hair and oversized clothing"
Saen was silent for a moment as he stared at the woman then threw his hand over his mouth trying to hold back a smirk
"Why does she dress like that? She knows it's summer right? And she's at a pool"
"I think we just need to forget about them and enjoy the rest of our day", Gloria said pulling Rob by the arm towards the pool
"I could REALLY use some relaxing in a pool right now....my muscles are so sore"
"Well then it's settled....", Mitchell said kissing Tess on the head, ".....after all the day is all about you"

"You think if we just do it discreetly right here people will notice?"
He whispered the words so softly in her ear that she wasn't sure at first if she'd heard him right. They were sitting in the warm pool, him with both arms resting on the edge and her drifting calmly holding onto his legs
"Well considering we're both pretty loud I think we'll provide some solid entertainment"
"Baby....", he whines kissing her neck
"What? We aren't going to fuck in a pool surrounded by hoards of people Mitch"
He growled into her neck making her moan. His hand travelled over her thigh and dangerously close to her-
"Mitchell.....seriously stop"
"Fine"
She had to laugh at his desperation and the cute little pout on his face when she pulled away and walked out of the pool water dripping off her as she walked away. He sucked in a breath and adjusted his tight swimshorts

Vivian rolled her eyes and pushed her sunglasses back up her nose
"Fine....if you're not going to....", she stood up and wrapped a towel around her midsection, "......I will"
Diane gasped and jumped up grabbing Vivian's arm, "You can't just go talk to her"
"Why not? She seems human...."
"You know what I mean"
"Diane for God sake.....the worst she can do is be unpleasant"
"She's pregnant and probably hormonal and I'm her boyfriends ex.....what does that tell you?"
Vivian couldn't help herself as she started laughing, "You're right.....I'll go on my own then"
Diane groaned as her friends all got up and moved past her towards the pool bar, she rolled her eyes and followed behind trying to shield herself at the back of the group
"Hello there"
Tess glanced over her shoulder and saw a woman standing beside her with a big smile
"Hi"
"I hope there's no alcohol in that drink"
She laughed looking at her big glass of alcohol free punch
"Nope....just closing my eyes and pretending"
Vivian threw her head back lauging, "I hear you sister....may I?", she gestured towards the chair beside Tess
Tess nodded vigorously, "Ofcourse please..."
"How far along are you?"
"Six and a half"
"You look amazing", Vivian winked at her and quickly put in an order to the approuching bartender
"Thank you so much"
"Married?", she gestured to the ring on Tess's finger
"Engaged"
"HI"
Another woman poked her head over Vivian's shoulder
"Oh excuse me these are my friends....this is Carol"
Carol smiled and walked up to Tess shaking her hand followed by Sharon
"I'm Sharon"
"Tess nice to meet you guys"
Vivian cleared her throat feeling Diane hiding behind her, "And this is Diane"
She moved to the side revealing the woman who suddenly looked like a deer caught in headlights
Tess smiled at her, "Hi....it's okay I saw you guys earlier and I promise I won't eat you"
Diane relaxed a bit letting her shoulders sag, "Oh"
"God were you THAT scared of me?"
"Terrified", Carol said downing a shot
Everyone laughed exept Diane who was bright red with embarrassment
"Well I'm sorry for being such a hormonal bitch"
Diane shrugged, "It's fine really and.....I uh...I wasn't.....terrified"
Vivian rolled her eyes at Carol and Sharon who both contained their laughter
"Ladies"
Mitchell approuched and put a arm around Tess's shoulders carefully eyeing the four other women
"Mitchell....haven't seen you in quite a while"
"Vivian always nice to see you"
There was a long awkward silence as Mitchell ordered another beer trying to avoid looking at the women
"Baby it's getting late we should go get ready for dinner"
"It's not that late"
"Well it's time for you're surprise"
Vivian raised her eyebrows and smiled at Tess, "He hasn't changed a bit....still knows how to treat a lady"
Tess looked at Mitchell and smiled, "Yeah he is amazing isn't he?"
Mitchell felt his face become warm under the women's gazes and looked down to his feet
"Let's go"
He sighed in relief as Tess jumped up waving at the women and lead him away
"I guess I'll have to go hunt for an outfit.....I'm sensing this dinner is something special"
"Actually that's part of the surprise, you let me worry about all that you just relax"
"What? How the hell should I relax when I don't even have control over my-"
"This is how"
She looked at where Mitchell was pointing and frowned in confusion when she saw the girls and Saen standing in front of a beautiful building in white robes
"Wait"
"Surprise baby", he smiled brightly at her gaped expression and kissed her on the cheek, "....you enjoy and relax and I'll go get our reservations checked for later"
"You...."
"Me?"
She grabbed his face and kissed him, "I love you"
"OK, OK that is for AFTER dinner come on Tess there's hot guys in there"
Tess laughed at Saen's desperation and gave Mitchell one final kiss before walking over to the group
"I swear to God if you touch anybody in there below the belt I'm kicking you're ass Saen"
"Wha.....that happend ONE TIME and it was an accident"
"Yeah right"
"Wait what? What happened?", Vanessa whispered as Tess reached her
"Long story"
