THE DAY AFTER wasn't an ordinary day. I don't like the fact that my parents send me away and trust my personal body guard to be with me. It's kinda heart breaking but I still have to endure it. I have to rebuild myself on his place. I promised to myself that I am going to collect my losing pieces on his place and rebuild it so that when December comes, I am able to tell my parents that I can make them proud to me.
It was a night before Sunday when mom help me to pack my stuffs.
"Mom." I can't help but to have a teary eyes.
"You're being childish hija, don't cry you're not a baby anymore." Mom said and wipe my tears.
"10 months was very long mom." I said and pouted
"You'll never count the days once you step on Ram's province. You will realize that times fly that fast"
"I wish mom." I said and close the zipper of my luggage.
"I love you sweetie." Mom smiled
"I love you too Mom." I hugged her tight
"Can you sleep besides me mom? I wanna hug and to be with you tonight" i smiled between our hugs
"You're acting like a baby again Raise. Alright, I'll stay here. I'll sleep with you." Mom smiled
She help me to place my luggage near the door . Mom fix my bed and smiled
"Wait here sweetie. I'm gonna tell your dad that I am going to sleep here with you."
I nod and watched her walking away.
I enhaled deeply and looked outside the window. The night was dark, but the stars and moon brightened it up.
I closed my window together with the curtain. I clean myself on a bathroom and wore a pajamas after.
"Shall we sleep our big baby?" Mom laughed.
I jumped on the bed and hug mom until I feel asleep.
My moms hug was really something. Whenever I hugged her on a bed, It's just like a spell cause I fell asleep afterwards.

SUNDAY morning, and it was the day where I am going to left our place.
I fixed myself and wore a denim jumper pair with a white three forth above and a white shoes.
Hatak hatak ang bagahe ko ay dahan dahan ko iyong binuhat pababa ng hagdan. I didn't bother to call our maids or a bodyguard. I wanna did it myself.
Pagkababa ko ay naabutan ko si mommy at daddy sa sala kausap si Ram.
Ram wore a simple V-neck shirt pair with a denim pants. He only bought a black backpack that the one lace was only hang on his left shoulder.
He looks cool on his back.
"Sweetie you're here." Mom walk towards me and hug me.
"Raise Acelle. Let's talk before you leave" Dad said and walk towards the library room.
I looked to mom and mouthed "is dad mad?" Mom only said "No sweetie" then smile.
I followed dad til we reach the study room. I sat in a single sofa and dad sat on the other.
"Ace, don't make a fuss and don't be a stubborn there. I won't there to remind you everyday to be a good woman. Remember that you have to live with his family so accept them as a whole Ace. " dad stated
"And don't forget to help his family in a simple cleaning their house and do a household chores. Although, Ram wouldn't allow you to do it, but still you have to act as a human with dignity. Be a good lady on their province. Make me proud Ace. In that way, and when I receive a news that you're doing well and people likes you, then I am already proud to you." Dad smiled and held my hand.
"I'm sorry if you think that I did it just because I want it, just because you're a hardheaded brat but No Ace. I am doing here not only for you to learn but for you to be safe and okey. Panatag ang kalooban ko at ng mommy mo pag nasa tabi ka ni Ram. Kaya wag kang pasaway hija." Dad hug me so I hug him back
"I am more than safe here dad." I whispered but enough for him to hear
"Don' be stubborn Ace. I will call you if I have some time." Dad smile
"Dad, will you get me there if I am having a hard time? Will you Dad?" I ask him. But I am afraid on his answer
"I will sweetie. Don't make things that can make me disappointed. Ayokong madisappoint sayo hija. Make me proud instead" i nod.
"You should go or else you might missed your flight"
Sabay kaming naglakad palabas ng study room ni Daddy. Naabutan namin si mommy at si Ram na nag uusap.
"That's enough Honey. I already told Ram about my rules." Dad smiled.
Hinatid kami ni mommy at ni Daddy hanggang sa garahe.
"Mom. Mamimiss ko po kayo. Daddy, I will surely missed the both of you" i said and hugged them both.
"Alright that's enough. Have a safe trip hija." Dad said
"Ram, take care of my precious daughter. Call me if something happened. I owe you Ram. " dad smiled
"I will sir." Ram answered
I open the van's door and enter.
I wave my hand to my parents before I closed the van's door.
I closed my eyes and calm myself.
And when I open my eyes we are already in a high way.
"Ram." I called his name.
"Yeah?"
"Are you sure you wanna keep me? If you're unsure you better tell it to me now so I still have time to run away and go back home." I said
"I am sure Ace. My place will be your temporary home. I will help you to adjust and love my place." He answered
I didn't bother to talk to him. I know Ram was devastated right now. He's thinking some stuffs. His father suffer from heart attack and his grandfather was terminally ill. I felt bad for him.
"Ingat kayo mam." Kumaway ang driver namin habang naglalakad kami papasok ng airport
Nang tinawag na ang flight number namin ay pumasok na kami sa eroplano. My seat was located besides the window.
The airplane was about to fly, my chest beat unconditionally. Mahigpit akong napahawak sa upuan ng magsimula ng tumaas ang eroplano.
I felt Ram's hand on mine.
"Closed your eyes Ace, and imagine some happy things." He whispered.
I followed his order and close my eyes and imagine some happy things.
The beat of my heart became normal. When I open my eyes we were already in the air.
"Wanna switch a seat to mine?" He ask.
"N-No, it's fine. I-I'm fine." I said and let go his hand..
I starts being scared when my eyes met the window of the airplane.
Ram look to me. I don't know what did he do but I starts unbuckling my seatbelt and immediately switch on his seat.
"Thankyou." I mouthed he only smile
"How long it will take for us to reach your place?" I ask while fasten up my seatbelt
"Only two hours. One hour from your home to airport, forty minutes on this aiplane and twenty minutes for a bus" he answered.
"Oh? That was easy to escape then" i chuckled.
"You can't escape. I have an eyes of an eagle" he joked so I laughed
"I know I may sounds weird but I would like you to tell me about your family so that I won't be surprise." I said and looked to him.
"My father was a captain.." he started
My eyes widened. "Your father was a captain? Oh? Really?" I ask in surprised.
His father must be that masculine like him. His father was awesome.
He chuckled and continue talking "my father was a captain among the fishermen. "
"What? Your dad is a captain as a fishermen?" I ask
"Yeah. We're not that awesome as you think. My father own five ship."
"Let me guess, a boat?" I ask and he nod
"You knew?" He chuckled and I rolled my eyes.
"My father was hardworking fisherman among the others. He bought five boats, the one is actually for me. My mother is a teacher, she used to teach others but she stop teaching others, beause she have to take care of my grandfather. My grandfather suffer on a stroke, the medication was really difficult."
"Nakagraduate ako ng Law dito na sa Manila. Nagpasya si Papa na ibenta ang dalawa naming bangka upang magamit ko pang tuition sa unibersidad. Tapos ay malaki ang naging tulong nang maging scholar ako ng Daddy mo. "
"And then?."
"So you're now interested huh?" He chuckled
"Shut up and continue.!"
"Alright. I've got a two siblings. I have a brother and a sister. I was the eldest among us. My brother was now in third year high school while my youngest sister was now in a 5th grade of elementary."
"What are they names?"
"My younger brother name is Dan, and my younger sister is Samantha"
"Let me guess, her nickname is Sam?"
I laughed when Ram nod.
"How you ended up being my bodyguard? You graduated Law for Petes sake!"
"I owe your Dad. I volunteered to be your personal body guard when I find out that he needs one. My Family was agreed on it. Tinatanaw nilang malaking utang na loob sa daddy mo ang pagpapa-aral nila sakin."
"So you mean? After 10 months you will be back to Manila and continue your living as a Lawyer?"
"Yes." He answered.
I remain in silent after.
His family was a fisherman? I mean his father? Therefore, he used to be a fisherman? Oh my gosh!
Calm Ace, he won't let you touch a stinky fish.
"You okey?" He ask and I nod
"Attention everyone, we are now currently landing off to the airport make sure to fasten your seatbelt. Thankyou"
"Let's go." He said and starts walking downstairs.
Malamig ang hangin sa oras na dumampi ito saaking balat. Naglakad kami palabas ng airport at nagtungo sa sakayan ng bus.
"Gutom ka na ba?gusto mo bang kumain muna?" Tanong nya habang nasa waiting shed kami
"I'm still fine." I answered.
Ilang saglit pa ay nakasakay na din kami sa bus.
The environment seems peaceful. Green trees and blue ocean is all I can see from a far. Pure nature eka nga.
Kulay asul ang karagatan ng malapit kami roon. Nakakatuwa dahil palagay ko ay hindi ako mabobored dito dahil malapit lang ang resorts and beach.
We remain in silent until we reach their place.
Sumunod ako sakanya hanggang sa huminto kami sa grey na gate.
"Mama, Papa si kuya andito na!" Dinig kong sigaw ng lalaki na sa tinggin ko ay kapatid ni Ram.
Binuksan nito ang gate kaya't napagmasdan ko ang mukha nito.
Gwapo ito at kahawig nya si Ram.
Sino kaya ang kamukha nila? Ang mama or papa nila?
"Roman! Andine na ang anak mo!" Mula sa loob ay lumabas ang isang ginang, maganda ito at maputi, kaya sigurado akong hindi dito kumuha ng kulay si Ram dahil moreno ito.
"Papa. Andine na si kuya kasama ang girlfriend nya" dinig kong sabi ng kapatid na lalaki ni Ram.
Girlfriend?
