"Betty"
I look at him while shivering from the cold. He gulps and seems nervous. I get more desperate as he stays quiet.
"Betty, I..." he gulps again.
"Jug" I quietly say.
"Betty, I like you"
I can feel my face burn. My heart starts jumping fast. A little smile forms on my lips and my eyes widen. Jughead liked me, and I liked him back.
"Jughead, I"
Before I finish that sentence, let me tell you how this all started. Let's go back a few years......
First day of preschool...
I had my blonde hair out and I was wearing a pink shirt with a white skirt. I waited for Jughead to arrive while I sat on a swing.
"Betty!!"
I turn around and see him running my way. I get off and start running too.
"Juggy!!"
I extend my arms and hug him tightly. He of course hugs back.
"Betty I started my dinosaur collection, do you want to see?"
"Yeahh!!" I say excitedly.
He held my hand and we walked in the building as he told me all about the new toys he got.

During recess Veronica, Archie, Jughead, Reggie, and I were playing family.
"Jughead you be the dad" Reggie insisted.
"But who's gonna be the mom" Jughead asked.
"Betty" Veronica answered
We all agreed and started playing.
"Mommy, do you and daddy kiss" Archie asked.
My face got red. How do I answer that?
"Uhh" I hesitated. Jughead face was the color of a tomato.
"Oooooo, Betty and Jughead" Reggie smirked.
"I'm too young for that!" I said loudly.

3rd grade......
I was crying like crazy as Jughead hugged me. I had a big crush on Archie but he liked Cheryl.
"It's okay Betty, calm down" Jughead said hugging me tighter.
I calmed down a bit and looked at him.
"You're my best friend" I said crying a bit more.
"Do you want ice cream?" He asked.
I nodded.
"Let's go" He said putting out his hand. I held it and we walked to the store together.

7th grade.....
"Jughead I have two pimples on my face!" I said angrily.
"Have you tried the pimple cream?" His voice cracked.
Lately he's been getting a lot of voice cracks. It's actually really funny. I giggle quietly.
"Shut up" his voice cracks again. He crosses his arms and sits down.
I walk over and sit down next to him.
"I'm sorry" I say while giving him my puppy eyes. He looks at me and sighs.
"I forgive you"
I laugh and put my head on his shoulder.

8th grade....
"Betty, have you ever.....kissed anyone?"
I shook my head. "No"
"Me either"
An idea pops into my head and I share it with Jughead.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes"
"Ok.."
We slowly lean in and our lips connect. We let go and both of our faces are red.
"That wasn't so bad" I say.
"Yeah....I kind of liked it" he smiled.

Me and Jughead have shared our moments together, but this real story begins on the first day of junior year. Where things changed. And the guy I always called my best friend turned into my crush. This is our story.
