After their training for the fight to save Earth from Cell, Thorn along with Goku and Vegeta as well as Gohan and the rest of the fighters headed to the desert where the Cell Games were being held. Goku went first and put up a good fight however Goku gave up his spot for Gohan to fight in his place, this was a bad idea as Gohan didn't want to fight but he rather live his life without the need to fight like his father. Gohan in the end was defeated but not before Cell had taught Gohan the meaning of torture, Thorn stepped into the fight with his Kaioken aura glowing brightly, he then said to Cell "You bastard! I'm going to make you pay for what you did to Gohan!" Thorn then charged up for everyone to see this:

After going into his Super Saiyan 2 form and after controlling his energy Thorn finally said to Cell "You're going down and this time I'll make sure of it!" Thorn charged at Cell and the two warriors began to clash punches and kicks making shockwaves so powerful that the air around them was sharp enough to cut the rocks nearby! Goku and Vegeta watched as Thorn was fighting at his full potential against Cell who was fighting at his full strength while it was still dead even, Thorn finally was able to use his speed to his advantage but somehow Cell was still able to dodge albeit just barely. This caused the Saiyan to say "Well now I'm impressed Cell! Not many people have time to dodge that attack, but it won't happen again!" It was then that Cell charged at Thorn only for the Saiyan to be able to block the attacks as fast as they came towards him. It was then that Thorn felt Cell's energy increase slightly which made him move away and he was right to do that because Cell had charged his energy into his leg for a kick that would more than likely cause some serious damage had it connected with his body. Cell then said to Thorn while crossing his arms "Not bad! Even I have to admit it Thorn, you're a strong warrior and an admirable opponent! I may grant you some mercy should you lose to me!" Thorn smiled and said to Cell "Sounds like you are gaining some respect for me! I'll be honest with you Cell, you may be my enemy but I respect your strength, this won't be an easy fight however!" Everyone stared at Thorn as he said with his Saiyan aura glowing brightly "I don't care how strong you are or how strong you can get, I will find a way to beat you no matter the cost!"
Thorn then charged at Cell once again only for Cell to clash with Thorn once again making the same shockwaves from earlier, the two fighters were at their max and still pushing each other to their limits even if it would kill them both. Goku thought to himself while watching Thorn fight (How is this possible? Thorn never displayed this much energy against me or Vegeta!) Vegeta then said to Goku as if on cue "Kakarot. You sense it as well don't you? You sense his energy being raised more and more during this fight." Goku nodded and said while still watching Thorn "Yeah....it's as if Thorn needs this fight to demonstrate his real strength." Just then Thorn delivered a high powered punch to Cell's stomach making his cough up Android 18! Krillin noticed this and rushed over only to be stopped when he watched Cell grow in size and say to Thorn and the others "Not bad but now I'm going to make sure you all lose! Sorry to break it to you Thorn but I'm not about to let you win just yet." Thorn stared at Cell with the same killing intent as when he started the fight and said to Cell "I don't think so. I've got one way to stop you and at this point I don't have a choice! You may be a ticking time bomb but there's one thing that will make sure you don't explode!" Everyone watched as Thorn pulled a tiny jar with a seal on it from his Gi belt, he then placed it in the ground in front of him while saying to the others "Time to see if the old man's technique can work on a bomb! Evil Containment Wave!" Thorn then did this to Cell:
The attack was a success however there was a tiny flaw in Thorn's attack, where would he keep such a powerful being even though they couldn't escape? During his thought process Thorn thought of a planet without any life however he knew that Cell could easily detect them and use Instant Transmission, Vegeta then said while walking over to Thorn "Give me the bottle...I've got a place where he can go." Thorn did as asked however he then heard from Vegeta "I'm going to send this bastard on a one way trip to another universe!" Just then the jar that Cell was contained in began to shake and rattle as Cell was trying to break free. Thorn then said while taking the bottle from Vegeta "You won't be fast enough for what'll happen if this opens on you...Goku!" As if on cue Goku appeared while Thorn said to him as he handed Goku the jar "Instant Transmission. Find somewhere safe and open this you understand?" Goku nodded and vanished heading to a safe place where Cell would never harm another soul again.

Thorn stayed in the desert as he waited for Goku's return as did Vegeta and the rest of the fighters however something was wrong...Goku never returned and what was worse Cell had returned yet he was in his perfect form! Thorn's anger rose along with his energy as he heard Cell say this:
Thorn stood there his fists clenched tightly causing blood to rise to the surface and drip from his fingers, Reina saw this and thought to herself (Oh no...he's gone over the edge again! I want him to kill Cell for killing Goku and surviving but this...this will kill Thorn more than anything else!) What Reina was referring to was that while Thorn's energy grew more and more thanks to his rage from losing Goku, he was also past his limits and still pushing his body beyond what he should have which was slowly eating away at his spirit. Thorn's aura flared as he said in an angry tone "Cell! You bastard now I'm really going to kill you and I won't hold back even if I have to aim at the Earth to kill you!!" Thorn charged at Cell while his body was slowly killing itself just to put Cell down for good, the two fighters clashed once again only this time Thorn while slowly dying was still even with Cell even as he was getting weaker. Vegeta was shocked at this as he didn't think anyone could keep fighting like that even while dying! Reina then said to herself "Thorn.....don't you die on me, not until I tell you something important." This made Trunks wonder what she was talking about as Reina did exist in his time however she was Thorn's wife who had perished causing Thorn in his time to explode with a well of power and fight against the Androids nearly winning until 17 used his gun to kill a weakened Thorn after an hour of intense fighting. Thorn then delivered a high powered kick to Cell's face which actually staggered Cell to where he could hardly stand without dropping down to a knee once again, Thorn skidded on the ground and said while charging an attack "Its time I end this! Sorry Vegeta but I'm borrowing your move....Final....FLASH!!!" The attack hit Cell with such force that even the Android in his full powered state couldn't survive and this time Cell was exterminated with no chance of rebirth as Thorn's attack had disintegrated every fiber of Cell's body. Thorn powered down as he dropped to his knees thanks to exhaustion along with his body just giving up after a long and tumultuous battle with the perfect Android. His friends gathered around him however Reina was there first as she had kissed her warrior while tackling him to the ground, he winced in pain but he was happy to have her in his arms after a long and hard battle with someone who nearly killed her just for pleasure. Krillin then said while handing Thorn a Senzu Bean "Here...you earned it after that fight, nice work Thorn." Krillin watched as the Saiyan smile and eat the bean, Thorn stood up slowly and said after checking his body for any broken bones "We need the Dragon Balls....it's time to bring back Goku along with anyone else who perished during Cell's attacks and antics." Thorn then carried Reina bridal style as Krillin carried 18 while Tien carried a bruised and battered Gohan, the fighters headed to the Lookout as it was the one place that they felt would be perfect for summoning Shenron. Once they got there their first wish was to bring back those that have perished during Cell's attacks, Goku then said to everyone while using King Kai as a way to communicate "Sorry everyone but I'm going to stay here....please use the other wish for whoever deserves it the most. Oh and Thorn! Nice work out there against Cell!" Thorn then said after the last wish was made "Damn you Goku....you had to say that, I will bring you back whether you like it or not." Vegeta then said to Thorn "Not bad out there...you fought almost as if you were possessed by something." Thorn then said while Reina wrapped around his arm "I was possessed Vegeta...however not how you're thinking." Thorn then carried Reina and said just before leaving "I need to rest...I'll see you guys later." He flew off while carrying Reina back to his apartment which somehow was intact even though Cell fired a blast down the Main Street, once he entered the apartment he set Reina down only to hear from her "Thorn....I have some news for you." He listened to her as he sat down on the couch while removing his boots and then he heard these words "Thorn...are you ready to be a father?" His eyes widened and his heart skipped a beat as he heard the words that scared him more than anything else, he then said to her "Wait...you're pregnant? But how? I thought that you and I were being safe for now?" Reina then said while trying to hide her embarrassment "Well I may have lied to you about that from our last session...sorry Thorn." Instead of being angry or upset with her, Thorn simply hugged her and said after a small kiss to her lips "It's Alright...I don't blame you for doing that, I'm actually happy that you're pregnant I just wasn't expecting to hear that from you." Thorn then went and showered with Reina joining him and then after said shower the two laid in bed resting after an intense fight however just Thorn fell asleep he looked at Reina who was sleeping peacefully, he thought to himself while unbeknownst to him Goku happened to hear Thorn say in his head (I'm going to be a father soon....I'd best ask Bulma or ChiChi for some advice!) It was then that Thorn finally went to sleep with Reina in his arms and as they drifted off to sleep a small camera panned out to see Trunks hovering over Thorn's apartment building while saying to the camera "Till next time guys! See ya later!" Trunks flew off and headed back to Capsule Corp while the camera panned to look at the sky.
