I finished talking to my parents and then I went and called Char.
He said that we should meet up so we went to the cafe that was up the street from my parents house.
I walked in and he already had a booth for us.
I slid in across from him.
Char: You seen the Shaderoom post?
Me: Yeah. And so did Arman.
Char: What happened?
Me: He's hurt, pissed off, and so many other things. He agreed to let me stay in the house for the time being.
Char: You know that if you need somewhere to go, you can come to my house.
Me: Char, I don't know. I don't know what to do. I love my husband but I love you too. I'm torn. I don't know what to do.
Char: You know I love you too. Its up to you. Follow your heart.
Me: I'm pregnant Char.
Char: You're pregnant?
Me: Yeah. My sister took me to the hospital earlier and the doctor said I was 2 months.
Char: Is it mine?
Me: I don't know. It could be yours or it could be Arman's.
Char: Does he know?
Me: Yeah. He said that if its his baby, he will work on our relationship.
Char: And if it's mine?
Me: He said that if its yours, I can kick rocks.
Char: If it is mine, I will be there for my baby. Don't worry about anything else. Know that I got you. I'm going to be here for you through it all.

3 Months Later
I am now 5 months pregnant. I moved out of I and Arman's house a few weeks ago. We decided to do a prenatal paternity test and it came back that Char is the father of my baby.
Arman and I have already settled on the terms of our divorce. We have shared custody of the girls. I am still able to continue to be a part of AJ's life and he is able to continue to be a part of Jalen's life.
I feel horrible about what I did. It doesn't set a good example for my kids.
I was going to either buy a house or move back in with my parents but Char wanted us to stay with him.
So we set up rooms for the girls and a nursery for our baby boy.
The kids are settling in pretty well.
We just got up and I got them all ready for school.
I go to work at the clinic today. So after I got everyone ready for school, I went and got dressed for work today.
I dropped the kids off at school and then I headed to the clinic.
I parked in my usual spot and went in.
My first few patients don't come in for another hour so I sat in my office and talked to Tierra and Deja.
Tierra: You're finally getting your boy.
Me: Yeah. I am.
Deja: Bri, you're still feeling depressed aren't you?
Me: No. I'm not depressed. I just wasn't expecting my life to turn out like this. I thought I was going to spend the rest of my life with Arman and then here comes Char, changing everything.
Tierra: Do you regret your actions?
Me: I do and I don't. I don't like the way that I went about it. I hurt Arman and that was the last thing I ever wanted to do. Right before he found out I was having an affair, Char asked me had I told him. I told him not yet and that I didn't plan on doing it anytime soon. That was my biggest mistake. I should have told Arman that I wasn't happy in our marriage from the jump. I shouldn't have dragged it, stringing him on along the way. He's a good man and he didn't deserve that at all. That's my biggest regret.
Deja: Well, its good to see you not be depressed anymore.
Tierra: So, how are the kids settling in at the new house?
Me: They're all settling in good. I thought they were going to have a hard time adjusting but they're not. Char is good with kids too. They all seem to be getting along great.
Tierra: That's good. Have you introduced Char to your parents?
Me: We're supposed to be going over for them to meet him tonight.
Deja: Good luck. Uncle don't like him already and he ain't even met him yet.
Me: I think he'll warm up to him. Char is a really nice guy. He is so sweet and caring. I think they'll get over what happened when we first got together.
We finished talking and then I had to meet with my clients.
I only had 3 for the day and then I was able to go home.
I was heading home when I got a call from the school.
I answered on the Bluetooth in my car.
Me: Hello?
School: Yes. Is this Ms. King, Jalen's mother?
Me: Yes I am. What's going on?
School: Jalen was involved in a confrontation with another student. Apparently, they had been having some issues and many witnesses say that Jalen had been bullying the other student and today, that student snapped and they began to fight.
Me: Are you able to put Jalen on the phone?
School: Yes. Just one second. She handed Jalen the phone.
Jalen: Hey mom.
Me: Am I on speaker?
Jalen: No.
Me: What the hell is wrong with you Jalen?! Why are you bullying people?
Jalen: I don't know. I just was.
Me: You just was?
Jalen: Yeah.
Me: Well you just about to get yo ass whooped too. And I'm calling your dad and having him meet me at the school.
Jalen: But mommy....
Me: But mommy nothing Jalen. I will be there soon. Bye.
I hung up the phone and called Iman.
Iman: Hello.
Me: Iman, I need you to meet me at the school.
Iman: Why? What's going on?
Me: The school just called me. Imani is in trouble.
Iman: What did she do?
Me: Bullying another kid.
Iman: I'll meet you st the school.
He hung up the phone and I headed towards the school.
Iman met me there. We went in together.
I saw Jalen sitting in the office when we went in.
We walked in and they called us back.
When we went in, there was another student with a black eye sitting in between her parents.
Jalen sat down in between Iman and I.
Principal: Ms. King, Mr. Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Rosen, Jalen and Amour have been having problems for the last few weeks. Amour has made multiple complaints about Jalen bullying her.
Me: Why are we just now being made aware of this situation?
Mrs. Rosen: Yes, I would like to know that too? This situation could have been avoided had we been made aware of it when it first began.
Principal: It was only reported to the teachers and they never brought it to the attention of administration.
Mr. Rosen: What is going to be done about it now?
Iman: Oh, you all don't have to worry. Jalen will not bother your daughter anymore.
She looked down. I can't believe this little girl. They went through the list of complaints that were finally given to admin today.
Jalen has been name calling, pushing, pulling hair, throwing things.
Me: What teachers were these incidents reported to?
Principal: Multiple. I can put you in contact with them.
Me: Yes that would be great because from what I'm seeing we should have all been notified weeks ago.
Principal: Yes. I understand that.
Iman: Jalen, apologize to Amour.
Jalen: Amour, I'm sorry for everything that I did to you. It was wrong and I shouldn't have done it.
Amour: I accept your apology.
Principal: Jalen will have two days of after school detention. She is being sent home for the day.
We leave and Jalen has the nerve to be fucking stubborn right now.
Me: Get your ass in the car right now Jalen.
She opened the door and got in.
Me: Iman, come trail me to the house.
Iman: Okay.
I drove off to the house.
We got there and I parked and went in.
I took Jalen upstairs to her room and whooped her ass.
Me: You know better than to bully any damn body Jalen Imani.
Jalen: I know mommy. I'm sorry.
I left out of her room and Iman went upstairs.
I know that he handled the rest of that situation. We won't have to worry about her bullying anybody else.
Iman came out and left.
I checked the time.
It was almost time for me to pick up the triplets for daycare.
I went upstairs and got Jalen and then we went to pick up the girls. We went back to the house and got ready for dinner tonight.
Char got home at around 4:00 and he is getting ready for dinner now.
When we were all ready, we left home and headed to my parents house.
We parked and got out of the car.
We walked up to the door and went in.
Here goes nothing.
