Troy scoffed as he circled Mike's neck with his arm, he immediately freed himself very upset. "I don't understand why you should always attack them, leave them alone, just stay away from them or I swear to God ..."
Troy didn't like it when someone challenged him. "¿What Wheeler? ¿What are you going to do? ... Listen Frogface, I don't think you're in a position to tell me what I can and can't do, I have you in my hands and you know what will happen if you don't obey me". Troy's tone was menacing, he had Mike from the collar of his shirt trapped against a tree.
"I've done everything you asked me ... What else do you want from me?" Mike's voice trembled, his eyes dampened.
"You know what I wants Wheeler ... revenge and I decide when all this ends." Troy gave Mike one last push, knocking him to the ground, with a sign he told the rest of the gang to follow him, Mike was left alone.
Mike´s POV
They left leaving me on the floor, tears sprouted from my eyes and I couldn't stop them, I was so tired, so angry and so alone, I felt terrible about what I had done to Dustin but it was the only solution, I knew that what he had in his hands was a prototype, if I didn't do something to distract Troy he would have entered the laboratory and destroyed the real project, I couldn't allow it. I know they've worked months on it.
My heart broke when I saw the look on their faces, they were so disappointed in me, I don't blame them because every morning when I woke up I look in the mirror and it's all I can feel, disappointment, disgust and shame.
I hope that one day they can know the truth, know why I am behaving like this, I hope they can know that I am still the same as before.
These months have been a nightmare, since I broke Eleven's heart I haven't been able to sleep since every time I close my eyes I remember her voice on the phone full of pain, a pain that I was causing, I would rather die than hurt her but I had no choice, I swear I had no choice.
I hate the damn day Troy returned to this school, the first weeks we thought it would be enough to evade him, that maybe being in that intership had changed him but what we didn't know is that he had a very deep resentment and all this time he had been waiting for the moment to take revenge and I gave him the chance to do it, I'm an idiot, maybe if I had been more careful none of this would have happened.

That day the classes were almost over, there was only one more class left, Mike went to his locker to change his books and as always he spent at least 2 minutes admiring a Eleven´s photograph,
it was a "Snowball" polaroid, Jonathan had given it to him and since then he had it in his locker, she looked beautiful in that blue dress, every time he had the chance came back just to admire her, an idiotic smile appeared on his face, if he hadn't been so happy maybe he would have noticed that in the distance Troy was watching him, he could be an idiot but anyone could notice that inside that locker there was something important for Mike, so he had to find out.
The bell rang and Mike was about to commit the biggest oversight of his life, He pushed the door of his locker and went to class without checking that it was really closed.
"You're an idiot Mike Wheeler, I was thinking of flying your locker, forcing the lock or something similar but you made my job easier". Troy thought with a smile on his face as he searched Mike's locker. He needed to find the reason why he spends his minutes with his stupid head inside, he hoped it was something embarrassing or compromising but what he found was something bigger.
"Shit, she is ..." . Troy rubbed his eyes hoping to see better, he wasn't sure if he was crazy or he really knew that girl, so there was only one way to find out, quickly pulled out a pen and left a note in Mike's locker, right in the place where the picture was, closed the locker tightly and left.
The class was over and Mike was walking towards his locker, his world was about to take a total turn, his heart fell to the ground when instead of seeing Eleven's beautiful face he saw a note that said: "Hot girl Frogface, I think her face is very familiar to me, ¿Do you want this little shit back? I see you at 5:00 pm behind the soccer field, come alone and don't tell anyone"
"My God, I'm an idiot, I should have left my locker open, if Troy manages to remember her, if he knows who she is ..." Mike, he couldn't even think about what could happen, a million possibilities were going through his mind, he saw the clock ... 4:50 pm, He had 10 minutes to get to that damn place before his friends saw him, he started walking fast down the hall until Dustin's voice stopped him.
"Mike, let's go with Steve and Robin, you know, free videos, we'll see a movie at Lucas's house, see you out in 5 minu…"Are you okay dude?”. Dustin was excited, but he could still notice something weird about Mike.
"Yes, of course ... I'm fine, but I think… I pass, I don't feel very well, see you later men".
He lied the best he could and kept walking to the courts, looked around to make sure no one followed him, kept walking and suddenly saw him, Troy was smoking down the stands, an evil smile came from his lips when he saw Mike. "you're late frogface"
"I ... I'm sorry, I had to make sure I was alone, just as you asked" . Mike's eyes were fixed on Troy's hands, He had the polaroid of Eleven in one hand and the lighter in the other, it seemed he was going to burn it, but he put out the fire and looked at Mike.
"I didn't bring you here to see how I destroy your girlfriend's photo Mike, in fact I think I need this shit". Troy placed the photograph in the back bag of his pants. "By your face, I think my suspicions are real, right?... You're a freak Wheeler and I'm not surprised that you ended up with someone like you, a phenomenon"
"Troy, I don't know what you're talking about, she is ... She is just ..." Mike stutters.
"She is the bald girl who saved you from that cliff, the same one that made me pee in my pants, that damn weirdo ruined my life". Troy's voice was full of hate. " I want to make sure you understand what she did to me, after that weird one broke my arm they took me out of the soccer team, after everyone saw me wet my pants nobody respected me, my life turned to hell, You never wondered why it took me almost 3 years to return? ... I was in that damn intership in Canada, taking therapy because my parents thought I was crazy, nobody believed me when I told them what happened that day on the cliff, I lost my friends and everyone's respect”. Troy's eyes were full of fury, Mike still didn't understand what he wanted but was about to find out.
"Tell me one thing Wheeler, what would happen if I go to the newspapers, television, with all those soldiers and told them about your pretty girlfriend, with strange powers? … From what happened on Starcourt mall everyone is looking for an explanation, to disappearances, to Deaths, to all paranormal events, she would be a laboratory rat the rest of her life"
"No,no,no!, You can't!! …please Troy" . Mike interrupted him, pleading.
"Of course I can, that will clean my image, my parents will know that I told the truth all this time, I would take revenge on all of you...Give me a reason not to do it Wheeler?”.
Mike couldn't breathe, he had to give him a good answer, it was his only chance, After thinking a few seconds he replied.
"Be-Be-Because I will do everything you want, everything, but please, forget about her, this is more serious than you think you would put her life at risk, so if you want revenge, if you want to destroy someone's life, here I am”. Troy's eyes shone with evil, he slowly approached Mike until he could see him in the eyes. "Aww…You really love her Wheeler, you moved me, I'll leave her alone for now, but in return you will be my shadow, my slave, I need to change my reputation in this school and that I will only achieve with your help, you will take care of my homework, my exams, you will speak well of me to the teachers…"
"Sure, I can do that, I'll take care of all that Troy, don't worry". Mike interrupted him, it seemed like a fair deal, but that emotion was short-lived when he saw Troy start laughing like crazy.
"You're a jerk Wheeler, do you really think that's all I want? I thought you were smarter, didn't you hear anything I said before?, your little weirdo destroyed my life and just for fun I want to destroy yours, I want you to be as alone as I was, I want everyone to despise you, I want to take away everything that matters to you, So tonight you will call your weirdo and you will break her heart, you will dump her and not only that, I want her to hate you, I want all your friends to hate you”
Mike could not believe what he was hearing, he wanted to wake up from this nightmare, what Troy asked him was horrible, but he had no choice, so taking a deep breath he looked Troy in the eye and very afraid he said…"I will"

These months had been so difficult, get away from Eleven, get away from my friends, treat them like crap to provoke their hatred, I was so alone, while making Troy's reputation improve, mine was getting worse, my only consolation was that the people I love were safe, at school I would protect my friends as long as I could and as for Eleven, I was glad she was away from here, away from Troy, at least I knew she was safe, I missed her so much, I would give anything to be able to hug her and kiss her once more, but she was miles from here and that was the best at the moment, Hawkins was dangerous , suddenly as if fate made fun of me, I heard a familiar voice.
"The Byers come in two weeks, I thought you had to know, Eleven will come to Hawkins". Dustin got away on his bike Immediately after saying those words that filled me with panic…NO,NO NO! this had to be a joke, she couldn't come here, she couldn't, I felt overwhelmed, everything was spinning, in those seconds that seemed like an eternity I had to make a decision, a decision that would put everything at risk.
"Dustin, wait". I watched as his bike stopped moving, shit, I regretted it instantly, I broke Troy's rules, but there is something in Dustin's smile that reassures me, it's as if he already expected this, As if he could still see old Mike, I think he knew that at some point I would come to him.
"you took too long dude, but… I'm ready to listen to you". Without thinking I run to hug him and start crying, all these months of frustration came out in the form of tears without being able to stop them, he hugs me tight and says something that brings my soul back to my body.
