I'm Raina, but everyone just calls me Rain for short. Yeah, I'm a greaser, and if you don't like that- that's your problem. I'm sixteen years old and love in Tulsa, Oklahoma- but not the rich side, I ain't no Social- or Soc as we call 'em.
My friends are Ponyboy, Johnny, Sodapop, Dallas, Steve, Two-Bit and Darry. You're probably wondering why I hang out with them instead of other girls who are greasers. Most girl greasers are very, different, than I am. Most of them all smoke and drink like all greasers do, but I don't do none of that. I tried smoking once, it made me feel sick and so does drinking yet I can be around it and be fine.
My home life isn't too hot. It's the same as Johnny's. My parents fight, they beat me, they don't care if I come home every night or not- which I usually don't- and if I do something that they don't like they beat me more. That's one reason I get along so well with Johnny, other than that we're both sixteen and in the same classes at school.
Anyway, since I'm so close with Johnny and that Ponyboy is best friends with Johnny, the three of us got close: again other than the fact that we are the youngest of the gang.
