HGD10: FIX THE BROKEN
"SAAN ka pupunta Acelle?" Patuloy ako sa paghitak ng aking maleta hanggang sa marating ko ang pinto kung saan naroon si Clive na nakatayo at nakapamewang.
"Uuwi na ako." I said in a almost whisper.
"Without consulting me?" She ask
"Of course not! Nag iwan ako ng sulat sa kama mo. Read it nalang Clive. I'm tired. I wanna go home. Thankyou for letting me to stay here." I kissed her cheek before I continue walking towards the gate.
I grab a taxi and send it to my dad's house.
A moment later, I bit my lower lip when I hesitate to press the doorbell.
I took for about a minute before I press it with a nervous feelings inside me. Second later, I already saw Ram.
"You still here?" I asked and he nod.
He open the gate wide, enough for me to fit.
I didn't argue with him. I walk towards the main door and open it for myself.
"Hija. " Mom hugged me once she saw me.
"Mom."
"I'm worried Acelle, not until Ram send us a news that you're safe." She said between our hug.
"You finally here." I heard dad's voice.
He was walking down the stairs wearing his perfectly ironed tuxedo. He was fixing his necktie when he stop in front of me.
"I'm sorry dad." I apologize
"Let's talk later. Go and change, you need to watch me giving a wonderful speech" he said.
Tumango ako at nagtungo saking kwarto.
"Jan mo nalang ilagaya sa labas. Ako na ang magpapasok" sabi ko kay Ram.
Ram nod and he left me and my luggage in front of my room door.
"He's too quiet." I murmured before I open my room door and went inside.
I change my shirt to a simple yet elegant navy blue dress.
After a minutes, I heard my mom voice
"Acelle sweetie, bilisan mo"
"Coming." I answered.
Ilang saglit ay bumaba na rin ako at sumakay ng kotse.
"We are glad that you're fine now." Mom speak.
"Crein went here yesterday" she speak
Mabilis akong luminggon kay mommy.
"He was looking to you, did something happened?"
"We broke up mom." I answered
"That was good to hear." Dad suddenly speak.
Ofcourse it was good to hear for him.
He never agreed on our relationship at the first place.
I didn't answered. Instead, I was looking for a time on my wristwatch.
"Governor Ashton Davis finally arrived,together with his loving wife Railla Davis and their daughter Raise Acelle"
A warmth welcome filled the entrance door. Some of my dad's supporters was there to support him.
"Gov. May nagpapabigay po." A man hold a black gift and gave it to my father.
"From whom?" Dad asked
"Wala pong sinabi."
Dad nod, and continue to walk.
"Gov. Ashton, stand by lang po muna kayo dito. The speech will starts 5 minutes from now."
Dad agreed.
"Pumunta na kayo sa labas at maupo na sa inyong upuan Railla, Raise." Dad said
"Ok honey. Goodluck, you can do it honey, nasa audience lang kami nanonood at sumusoporta sayo. We love you honey" Mom kissed my dad on his lips.
I didn't bother to motivate him, I just walk away and starts to find a perfect seat for us to watch my dad.
"Here!" I saw Ram mouthed from here.
Mom sat besides on Ram seat while I was sitting besided my mom.
"Good afternoon ladies and gentleman, the speech of our governors will be heard now. Around of applause everyone." The emcee announced.
"Let's all welcome, our current Governor, Governor Ashton Davis."
We clapped our hands, I saw how happy my mom when Dad step on the stage and went to his place.
"Good afternoon po. Ako po si Governor Ashton Davis, ang kasalukuyang Governor ng syudad na ito. Sa taon na aking paglilingkod ay maraming programa na ang aking nailathala na syang nagpaunlad ng ating syudad..."
"Mom, I have to pee" I said after I poke my mom.
I realize that my wristwatch was gone. Baka naihulog ko iyon sa backstage.
"Your Dad wasn't done yet on his speech. You shouldn't missed it Acelle" Mom answered.
"Babalik po ako agad mom. I just need to pee." I didnt let my mom to answered
Naglakad ako papuntang backstage para hanapin ang wrist watch ko.
And I saw it on the floor.
"I hope it wasn't broken." I wish before I squat to put it.
It wasn't perfectly broken, it's still working, but the glass on the wristwatch has defect. Nilagay ko iyon sa aking slingbag.
Napansin ko ang itim na kahon na nasa basurahan
It was my Dad gift. Why did he throw it away?
Tumalikod na ako at nagsimulang maglakad papuntang comfort room.
I didn't know that my dad will throw a gift from someone who present a gifts for him.
Ilang saglit ay naisipan ko na ring bumalik sa aking upuan
"Ang tagal mo." Ram speak out
"Nasan si mom?"
"She's outside. Someone call her and she said that it was urgent."
Tumango lamang ako at itinuon ang atensyon kay daddy.
".. to our senior citizens, we will continue giving all of you a free medicine. Patuloy namin kayong pagsisilbihan.." Dad said.
"Mom, you're finally here." I whispered to my mom ear once she sat on her seat
"Did I missed something?" Mom ask.
"Only a few mom."
She nod. We continue listening to my Dad's speech. He is a good governor, he built a program for everyone, and everyone loves him. Dad gave a lot of attention to the politics world, and sometimes, I'm jealous that everyone got his attention while I can't.
"At maraming salamat sa inyong suporta. Kung patuloy ang inyong tiwala saakin, sinisigurado ko, na ang lahat ay makikinabang sa aking gagawin pang mga programa. Kung kaya't sana'y patuloy ninyo akong suportahan sa darating na eleksyon. Sama sama, hawak kamay nating tahakin ang magandang kinabukasan na ihahandog sainyon ni Governor Ashton Davis. Maraming maraming salamat sainyong lahat."
Dad ended his speech. Everyone gave my dad around of applause, some of them bother to stand nd clap their hands , some of them has a teary eyes on what my dad told them. I saw and witness how my dad manipulate things. He fix everything in order. He's a great leader of this city. And they're all lucky enough to have my Dad's attention.
"Thankyou governor Ashton Davis."
"Now, let's call our new candidate for the Governor. Mister Walter Andrada. Around of applause everyone." Emcee announced.
I get bored when mister Walter speak.
He has a lame reason to be governor. He can't even reach my Dad's courage to be a leader of this big group of people. He was nothing compared to my Dad.
"You seems focused on mistef Walter rather than your Dad." Mom whispered.
"I am just criticizing him mom. And I realize that he's nothing compared to Dad." I said in confident.
"I hope your dad heard that. Yeah, you're definitely right sweetie. Mukha palang panalo na ang dad mo." Mom chuckled.
"I'm hungry mom" I stated.
"Oh?Ram, please buy something to Ace" Mom ordered.
"I'll come with him mom."
Mom nod. I follow Ram until we went outside
"What do you want to eat?" He said without even bother to gave a gaze.
"Lasagna, I want lasagna." I said and smile..
"Wait here. Bibili ako "
He was about to open the cars door when I speak
"I'll come." I said and open the other door for me.
He didn't bother to speak in a whole ride. I ate my lasagna in a fancy restaurant, yet he didn't bother to eat that lasagna that I gave to him.
Ang ending, tinake out ko nalang ang sobra. Still, he didn't bother to speak something fun. Sumasagot naman sya pag tinatanong ko pero limited lang ang sagot nya.
"Are you really ok?" I asked while he was driving
"Yes." He said without any explanation.
I didn't bother to ask him again. Hindi ko alam ang nangyari pero alam kong yoon ang dahikan para manahimik sya ng ganto.
Narating namin ang venue, eksaktong tapos na ang speech ng dalawang panig.
"Congrats dad, you did great" I smiled
"Really? Thankyou for that, I wish you heard my whole speech." Dad said.
I was about to answer when someone approach him to take a pictures.
"Your dad seems mad because you didn't heard his whole speech." Mom
said and chuckled.
"Iyan ang anak ni Gov. Diba?" I heard them murmured.
"Oo, kagandang bata ano?"
"Oo nga. Pero nabalitaan ko na nasangkot daw iyan sa party drugs na niraid noong isang buwan lang" i heard a woman gossip.
"Biktima yata yan. O sya halika at makapagpapicture kay Gov."
I enhaled deeply. They're gossiping about my mistakes. About that incident. And I hope, I didn't ruined my dad's background.
"You got a pretty daughter Ashton. No wonder why my nephew Archie likes her" Walter said and smiled.
My eyes widened when I saw Archie behind Mister Walter. He wore a decent clothes, but the point is, he didn't rot in jail.
"Stop pestering us Walter." Dad said and guide us to ride his car.
Nakapasok na ako sa loob ng kotse nang nagtanong ako kay Daddy
"Pamangkin ni mister Walter si Archie, Dad?"
"Oo."
"Diba nakakulong si Archie Dad?"
"Walter send him out of the jail hija.
I was the one who ordered to raid the bar that you always use to hang out, they're using a party drugs."
"I'm sorry Dad." I apologize.
Once we stop on a fancy restaurant, Ran was also there eating with us on the same table. While the other guards of my Dad was eating in a other table.
"Hija, you have to go with Ram on his province " mom speak
"I already think of it mom, It's fine. I'll come with him"
Although, I wasn't really agreed about the idea that I will be sent on a province of my bodyguard.
But maybe it was the right decision to make me and my Dad okey. Siguro kailangan ko lang syang sundin para magkaayos kami..
"That was good to hear. Para sayo din ito hija." Dad said.
"This Sunday hija, pupunta na kayo sa province ni Ram. I'm sorry kung biglaan"
"Bakit ang aga naman mom? Three days from now na po iyon"
"Eat Acelle. Don't ruined our mood. We should be happy on this kind of occassion."
I only ate a few, I'm still full yet I still have to eat.
Pasado alas syete na ng gabi ng makauwi kami sa mansyon. I changed my clothes after I take a halfbath.
Lumabas ako para sana uminom ng tubig ng makita ko si mom na nanonood ng TV mag isa.
"Mom." I called her name and sat besides her.
"Ace. "
"Mom, bakit po ang aga ng alis namin?" I can't help but to ask.
"Something happened hija."
"What is it mom? Please tell me"
"Ram's father got a heart attack. And his grandfather was terminally ill hija. Ram's need to be there as soon as possible."
Then, I suddenly pity Ram. That's why he's too silent. He didn't even bother to speak eventhough we're eating with my parents.
"Mom"
"Don't pity him hija. You should behave when you're with him. Be a good girl and don't be a stubborn. "
"Mom!, do I really have to go there? Baka maging pabigat lang ako don."
"Yes hija. I already told Ram na sya nalang mag isa ang umuwi ng probinsya. Pero sabi nya ay ayos lamang sakanya na kasama ka nya. Marerelax ka raw roon hija sa gaganda ng mga tanawin."
"Mom, mamimiss kita" I said and hugged her tight.
"We will missed you too hija. Don't worry, bago mag December ay uuwi ka na rin dito"
"Mom! It was only February!" I stamp my feet
"Oh hahaha.. ayos lang yan, para naman mabawasan ang sakit sa ulo sa bahay"
"Mom naman e."
"Kidding. Don't worry okey? Your brother will also come before December."
"I am excited for December."
