Regarding this matter, Jimin had heard about it briefly before. This morning the Choi family members came and begged, even though they didn't kneel down on the ground but they begged The Parks to let Choi family go.

"Because he said bad words about your Mom?" Jimin paused for awhile. "Are you willing to tell the matters to me?"

Joon Min nodded, and started to speak: "Choi In Su said that his mom told him that my mom is a bad person. He said that she snatched another person's husband and pushed someone down the stairs...." He stopped: "I know he was talking about to Auntie Kim..."

"My mom is not a bad person, she is the best woman in the world. Dad, you will not understand...." Joon Min used little hands to hold his cheeks: "Mom is the most important person to me, I will not let anyone say anything bad about her, I will always protect her from bad people. I don't want her to get hurt, ever. She is precious to me, Dad...."

Hearing Joon Min's words, and looking at his little serious face, Jimin felt his heart break..

He smiled, and used his hand to stroke Joon Min's head: "Of course, your mom is not a bad person."

Actually from this side, he thought this fight that Joon Min was involved was not completely wrong, because he did it to protect his mom. This itself was understandable. Although, he didn't approve that he handled this matter physically.

If he only hid and cried in the corner because of that, then it wouldn't be Joon Min. After all, he is a strong headed kid.

But because his body isn't in the greatest condition, a fight like this was no simple matter.. If Joon Min were healthy, he would have just suffered a few surface wounds, not anything as serious as this.. At least he used his best effort to protect his mom.

Joon Min raised his cute face to look at Jimin, frowning slightly. "But Dad, you think mom is a bad person right? You think mom pushed Auntie Kim right?"

Jimin couldn't bring himself to answer Joon Min's question. Regarding this matter, he didn't really know what to do. After all, all the evidence pointed to Y/N as the culprit. Seulgi kept saying that Y/N pushed her, and his mom kept telling him the same. Because Jimin believed Y/N is indeed a cunning woman and had every reason to do that, how could he believe the opposite? It must be her then, right?

Two days after the accident happened, Jimin went to the hotel to look for a CCTV video of the incident, but instead of finding out the truth, he was left helpless and disappointed. The staircase was located near the corner, exactly the dead end of the CCTV, and the area where the accident happened was blocked by the wall.

The CCTV video didn't give him any useful information.

Also for the CCTV video that grandma mentioned, she was lying to him.

Jimin had no idea what had happened, and he was at a loss.

Jimin puffed up his cheeks, sighing deeply. Joon Min looked at his father's expression helplessly, knowing that Jimin didn't fully believe in Y/N. "I know you also think that way. You think that mom pushed her!" Joon Min argued. "No! it was Auntie Seulgi who carelessly fell down the stairs. She even spilled a drink on moms clothes. Then she followed mom to the restroom, and when I went looking for mom, she was trying to push her, but fortunately mom could hold onto the handrail, so she was okay. Then when I ran over to stop her, she fell down the stairs on her own."

Jimin was silent for a while, observing Joon Min's frustrated expression. "Joonie, let's not talk about this matter anymore, okay?" he replied, feeling defeated.

"Why can't we talk about it?" Joon Min huffed. "Dad actually you didn't believe mom right? You just don't like her right? You like that Auntie Kim?" Joon Min said stubbornly. He wanted to hear his dad tell him the answers directly. He couldn't let his mum get hurt even more..

He didn't want to let Jimin to misunderstand Y/N again.

"Joonie."

Y/N's gentle voice broke the tense atmosphere between the father and son.

Y/N went inside the room, and passed Joon Min's book back to him. "You read your book first, dad and I still have something to talk about outside"

"Come out with me for a moment." she said to Jimin. He glanced at her briefly before following her outside.

Before she heard a bit of their chat, previously Jimin also said he wanted to talk with her. Indeed, they needed to have a talk.

About the future's path, and how they should pass it.

Once they were out and away from the room, Y/N checked Joon Min's door. She didn't want to let him listen to the details of their talk, because she was afraid that he would be worried again.

Jimin's hands were placed on the railing on the corridor, he lowered his head and gazed at Y/N: "What do you want to talk about?"

Y/N looked at Jimin carefully and took a deep breath. "Concerning Seulgi's fall, because Joonie is still thinking about it I will say it once again for the last time. It wasn't me, but whether you believe it or not, I don't care. For me that is not important. Only Joonie's health and happiness is important for me." Y/N started. "No matter what I want him to be healthy and live a long and happy life, that's why I need your help. For the sake of Joonie as your son, can you just give him a chance? Even if you just pretend, just don't give him anymore pressure...."

Before Y/N could say anymore, Jimin laughed coldly, cutting her off mid sentence.. Jimin smiled, but his eyes were dark."Do I look that ruthless in everyone's eyes, that I will ignore the fate of my own son? So all of you need to beg me?"

"Grandma was first, and now you. If you're really that scared that I will not care about his fate, then shouldn't you kneel down and beg so I can clearly see your sincerity?" he scoffed, looking down at Y/N.

"Park Jimin...." Y/N didn't understand why he was angry like this, she only wanted to have a simple conversation with him. Was that really impossible?

For them to interact calmly, is it really that difficult?

"Let me tell you Y/N." Jimin leaned forward, grabbing the back of Y/N's neck and pulling her closer until she could feel his warm breath on her face."Joon Min is also my son." Jimin paused, looking into Y/N's eyes. She stared back, unsure of Jimin's sincerity.

"You're right, maybe I didn't care about him at the start." He sighed. "I missed a lot of moments with him, and didn't see him from the moment he came to the Earth. These three years, I also didn't really accompany him while he grew up. I know I am not a good father, but can you see that I'm trying hard to change? I've been here for the past few months, trying to be there for him. If I didn't care, would I stay this long? I would do everything to save him and wouldn't care about anything else, do you believe it?"

"But I know you won't believe me...." Jimin slowly released his grip on Y/N's neck. "Because in your heart, I can't compare to Jeon Jungkook, right?"

Y/N felt like her heart was being squeezed painfully, but she couldn't understand why she felt that way. She looked at the man in front of her, but couldn't say anything. She swore she could see some sadness in his eyes, before she could process it, Jimin had already pulled away.

Jimin released her neck, placing his hand over his eyes. He was laughing, laughing at himself. He then went silent, before turning and walking away without sparing Y/N another glance..

Y/N stood there for a while, watching as Jimin disappeared from view. She turned around slowly, sighing as she rubbed her temples. She really couldn't understand this man. Y/N then walked back to Joon Min's room.

Upon her return to the room, Jun Seo had arrived at the hospital, bringing Shin Ji along with him to visit Joon Min. Y/N sighed, dreading having to see her father's face again.

Jun Seo entered the room, looking around briefly before turning to Y/N with a disapproving expression. "Where is Jimin?" he asked.
