I walk up to the pit-box of the pink Racing-point car number 18. I see Lance talking to his dad, his dark brown hair bounces when he nods his head to something his dad tells him. When his deep brown eyes notice me after a little while, he waves to me and I smile to him. His dad looks to my direction and gives Lance a pat on his shoulder, Lance gives his dad a fast hug as a goodbye and he starts walking towards me.
"What are you doing here, sweetheart?" His arm slips around my shoulders A soft kiss being planted on my forehead.
"Can't I watch my boyfriend do something he's passionate about?" I speak softly.
"You mean doing you?" He whispers in my ear, his grin could kill me right on the spot. I give him a playful push in his flank.
"No, I meant racing!" I giggle, holding his hand I pull him closer. There is this warm feeling warming up my whole body, I've missed this feeling. The fabric of his shirt underneath his racing suit is soft to the touch. "I missed you, Strolly."
"I missed you too my darling." He leans in to give me a quick kiss. I smile to him, his soft honey eyes look back in mine. I take a look around us and everyone is panicking to be ready for Qualification.
"How are you going to do this Quali, you think? You getting pole today?" I tease, looking up to him again with a big smile on my face.
"I don't think so, sweet Y/n." He rests his head on mine and takes a deep breath. Confusion enters my body by his next question: "How do you do it?"
"How do I do what?" I push him away a bit, wanting to see his face clearly.
"Pretending you're okay."
"I'm not pretending." I try and protest, not wanting him to know how bad I am without him near.
"Yes you are, I can see it every singly day again. And it breaks my heart." The crack in his voice hurts like hell. I take His hands in my small ones.
"Lance... I don't-"
"Please don't deny it now." He cuts me off and pulls me close, he gives me a kiss on my lips. "Please, you can trust me. I love you, Y/n."
