chapter nine - never say never

We both brushed our teeth and then he gave me his shirt and I changed in the bathroom. when I walked into his room, he was sitting at the edge with no shirt and just sweatpants. I walked up to him and stood between his legs, he looked up at me while getting up and pecked my lips.
"What side do you mostly sleep on?" he asks
"the left side" I reply
"great I will sleep on the left side then" he says
"why?" I ask confused
"because that means you will cuddle me more" he says and I laugh
"what if I want you to cuddle me" I ask
"hey hey hey, you had your turn at the movies, its my turn now" he says jokingly
I lay down on the left side of the bed and he lays on the right, I turn to look at him and I kiss him goodnight.
Jeff's pov
Zane called me yesterday telling me to take ella out on a date, to help bring her memory back. So I took her on the date where we first said that we loved each other. Everything was the same, from where we went to eat to going to the grove, watching a movie , her falling asleep on me, to us going on the last ride in Santa Monica and kissing once we hit the top. Ella was one of the first girls I truly actually fell in love with and I just want to be able to be on the same page with her again.
Ella's pov
I woke up on Jeff's chest hearing him snore lightly, so I just laid there enjoying this moment.

(Flashback)
"babe" ella says
Jeff moans
"c'mon, its 10, get up" ella says kissing Jeff
"do I have to?" Jeff replies still half asleep
"I guess not, I will just leave then" ella says getting off the bed
Jeff sits up and grabs ella by the waist before she can fully get of the bed, he pulls her back toward him and says "you're not going anywhere"
"and why is that?" ella says turning around on her knees so she is facing him
"because" Jeff replies
"because why" ella says crossing her arms
"because I love you and I don't want you to leave" Jeff says
Ella smiles and climbs on top of Jeff and kisses him "I love you too"
(end of flashback)
Holy shit. my memory, it came back. a little. I got up out of bed brushed my teeth and decided to make us breakfast, I made blueberry pancakes with some egg, bacon, and hash brown. I was almost done making the food when Jeff came out of the room.
"I could get used to waking up with you every morning" he says and I just laugh.
"I made blueberry pancakes" I say
"my favorite" he says "how did you know?"
"I uh- I didn't" I say laughing "I just had a random thought to make blueberry pancakes"
Jeff smiles at me weird
"what?" I ask
"well, I uh told you that blueberry pancakes were my favorite on our first date" he says
"really?" I ask and he just nods his head
I finished making the food, we ate it and then I began to clean the kitchen. both of us still in our pajamas from last night. we were Both cleaning when someone rang his doorbell, so he went to answer it. The voice at the door sounded familiar so I went to see who it was. it was Todd. He looked at me confused and looked down at what i was wearing.
"what the fuck?" todd says
"what?" i ask
"i thought you guys left to hang out, not to go fuck" he says kinda hurting my feelings
"what makes you think that?" jeff asked defensively
Todd chuckles "seriously jeff ? look at her, she's wearing ur shirt and no bottoms" he says and jeff turns to look at me "for all i know, she isn't even wearing underwear"
I walk past jeff and i stand in front of todd, "really ?" i say upset, i grab the shirt and pull it up to my stomach to reveal my spanks that i wore under my skirt.
Todd looked down and sighed in regret, i smelled the tequila in his breath. I grabbed his face by his cheeks and brought him up to my eye level. "Have you been drinking?" He doesn't reply, he just looks at me, i let go of his face kind of causing his face to fall down.
"Get out" i say "talk to me when you're sober" i take a step back towards the apartment and close the door.
i sigh "he told me he was going sober, for me, because he hurt me. i guess it was just another one of his lies"
Jeff wraps his arms around me he then turns me so i'm facing him.
"i would never hurt you" he says but i just looked at my arm, the bruises were getting darker
"ella" he says and i look up at him "i would never hurt you"
"never say never" i say and walk to his room.
I was so hurt and let down, he promised me, and that's the second time he let me down. He promised. i laid back down on jeff's bed and closed my eyes
( flashback )
"jeff!" Ella yell to him from his bed
He walks in "yes"
"come cuddle with me" she says whining a little
"give me 10 minutes" he says
Ella furrows her eyebrows and shakes her head.
"fine, but only for 5 minutes" he says and ella just smiles
He lays next to her and wraps his arm around her waist and pulls her towards him
"Can i tell you something?" Jeff asks
"of course" she says
"you know that i would never hurt you" he says
But ella doesn't say anything
Jeff sits up to see why she didn't reply, she had tears in her eyes
"Never say never" she says "Everyone who has ever told me that ends up hurting me"
Jeff sits her up and wipes the tears from beneath her eyes
"i meant it though" he says
"yeah so did they" she says
(end of flashback)

i shoot up from the bed, to see jeff sitting next to me.
"i told you never to tell me that" i say
"im sorry" he says "i forgot"
I begin to laugh hysterically
"what?" he asks confused
"shouldn't i be the one not remembering" i say still laughing and he joins in
"what time is it?" i ask
"8:30" jeff says
"i should start getting ready" i say
"me too" jeff says
i put my hair down and brushed it out, i put on my new clothes and put on whatever makeup i had in my purse.
i walk out of hi room to the living room and look at jeff "ready ?" he asked and i just nodded my head.
We put my things in his trunk and began to drive to David's.
"So what are you going to David's for ?" jeff asked
"ok so i wasn't going to tell anyone, but i'm moving out of the house, and i'm getting my own place" i say
"what the fuck ?!" jeff says in excitement "that's so cool!" i laugh at his excitement "do you already know what kind of house you want?"
"no not really but i feel like David knows me best and i wanted him to help me" i say
After about 10 minutes, we arrived, a little late, but we made it. I grab my keys and opened his door. Jeff and i walk in and see David on the couch with Todd, they both turned to look at us, and i could already see in David's eyes he was not happy.
"David" i say
"no wait" he says and closes his eyes almost as if he trying to process something "I let you in my house, I let us be great friends, and you decide you're just going to start FUCKING MY SISTER BEHIND MY BACK?!" he says beginning to yell
"david" jeff says hold his hands up
"shut the fuck up and get out" David says
"dav-" i try to say but he cuts me off
"jeff get the FUCK OUT OF MY HOUSE NOW" David yells
i turn to look at jeff who is walking out of the house backwards and i mouth to him "i will see you later" and he just nodded his head and walked out
"dave" i say
"Todd go to the podcast room with zane, i need to talk to ella outside" he says
I open the back door and sit on his couch patio thing a couple of seconds later, David comes out
"ella, what the fuck" he says
"dave" i try to say but he just cut me off
"HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU GUYS GONE OUT ?" he asks "BECAUSE I KNOW ITS DEFINITELY LESS THAN 3, HOW COULD YOU GIVE YOUR SELF UP THAT EASILY?!"
"can i have the table?" i ask upset, trying not to yell
"fine" he says
"ok so first of all, yes jeff asked me out in a date last night, we went to the movies and to eat and to santa Monica, but we did NOT have sex. I slept over his house because it was late and you know how dangerous it is driving that late at night, i was wearing a skirt to our date but i had shorts underneath so i took off my skirt and borrowed one of jeff's tee shirts and slept in one of those. i did NOT have sex with jeff, it was one date, and the fact that you think that low of me is kind of humiliating. NOT TO MENTION TODD IS DRUNK, and yet you still believed him instead of coming and talking to me before you kicked jeff out." i say
"el" he says with sorrow in his eyes
i was so upset that i just got up and left, i walked into the house and found zane and asked him to take me home.
"What happened?"zane asked once we got in the car
"i don't want to talk about it" i say
