Sweet Nova
Loving Nova
Catch a butterfly....
I sing the song to my self that my father used to sing to me when I was little
While I lay down on the floor as my heart crushes even more and more
To catch butterfly
Little girl open your eyes
While you cusp her with your small hands
I sing as my voice cracks, the pain becomes immaculate as I choke on my words
But don't you take a peek
Sweet Nova
Don't let it escape
Because once she flies away
It can never be tamed again...
"Daddy I wish you were here" I say as I look at the ceiling while being on the floor
"I wish you told me what to do" I say as I talk to the air, "If you were here how would you escape?"
I am on the verge of breaking down
"Maybe a Queen can never be a King" I say as I feel defeated and get up a little to look at the room
"Wait" I think to my self as I look around the room
"This is a king's room! It's Alfred's" I mutter to myself, "Being a daughter of a King I know there has to be secret emergency exit, somewhere!" I say as I rise up
The blood of hope flows in my veins
I jump to action as I look around the room
"Nova, you have to find a way out! You cannot give up!" I talk to myself as I scramble across the room in desperation
I turn over all tables, look behind all the portraits and check the floor but I find nothing.
I close my eyes as I release a deep breath
Then in the midst of chaos, I find my rescue
A golden statue of King Ecgberht, Alfred's grandfather
In my warrior training with Bjorn Ironside, he gave told me that a tip that an unmatched huge statue is a dead giveaway that there is something there
I push the statue with all my force as it moves
"1..2...3" I say as I push harder and beneath the statue
I see what I have been dying to see
A secret tunnel.

Narrator's POV
"Where is Queen Nova?" Bjorn asks Alfred as they prepare
There is chaos all around as the people brace for the war
"She is with Alfie" Alfred says as he mounts his horse
"By choice?" Bjorn asks as Lagertha seems confused
"Yes" Alfred say as he fixed himself on the horse
"I don't believe you" Bjorn says as he looks at Lagertha
Lagertha seems displeased by Alfred's explanation
(Alfred and Ivar)
"I don't know mother, she prepared for this for her whole life, why would she back down at the last moment?" Bjorn blinks his eyes
"Maybe that's what French Queens do?" Lagertha brushes off the topic
"But.." Bjorn says
"We have a war Bjorn, let's not fret about some woman who refused to show up" Lagertha says as she mounts her horse
Bjorn nods and does the same.

Nova's POV
They tunnel leads me directly to the stable
I pop out of the ground as hurry as I nearly stumble
This metal armour makes it hard for me to breathe, let alone run
"Queen Nova? What are you doing here?" The stable boy asks as I snatch the reins of my horse Ella and mount her quickly
"I don't know" I say as I pant and fix myself on the horse
"Long Live our Queen" The stable man bows as I give Ella a little kick and leave for the west wing

I arrive at the west wing and make Ella calm
"Easy girl, easy" I say as I rub her neck
I pray to lord that Ivar enter through west wing, the route I told him to
"Leave this side to me" I command the few guards around the wall
"But your Majesty...." The guard speaks
"LEAVE" I order
And the guards leave, leaving the area just to me and a few blacksmiths near the area
"Ivar, please do as I told you and the victory would be ours" I close my eyes and pray
As I take my sword out and position myself
A few guards rush towards me
"QUEEN NOVA WE HAVE BEEN ATTACKED BY THE HEATHENS" The guard howls
I look at the west wing wall as it remains untouched
"From where?" I ask
"From the North and the South" they say
Anger takes over my soul as now it feels as if i have sold my soul to the devil
He didn't trust me
"Hurry!" The men scream as I turn Ella around and gallop towards the North
"Ivar, You Son of A Bitch" I scream

Narrators POV
"WHAT IS HAPPENING?" Ivar screams as his men destroy the wall and enter the city only to fall on the spike pit laid adjacent to the wall
"Who did this?" Alfred asked as he says while being amused
"Only one can lay a death trap like this..." Bjorn says as his eyes gleam
"Nova, Queen Nova" Bjorn says slowly
