Jennie's POV
The night before the war, my dad held a meeting with all the major wolfs of our pack. He would be explaining what would be happening the next day. The room then began to fill up with familiar faces as well as trustworthy ones. Once everyone got seated my father then stepped in the room, everyone stood up and bowed to him then again seated.
"I see that everyone has arrived, I will start now. The Kim pack has declared war on us." Whispers could be heard around the room.
"However we will fight back and not lose, I want everyone to be on guard."
One of my dads trusted betas spoke, "When will they attack alpha?"
"Tomorrow morning." Everyone then talked out loud being surprised with my father's answer.
"Please settle down everyone", my mother spoke.
My father cleared his throat, "I suggest to get ready. Moving on, I will say the positions everyone will take."
He paused before he began, "My betas will be assisting me and my daughters in this war, them too will be fighting except for Yuqi."
"Both Moonbyul, Jennie and I will get a group of soldiers." Father turned to look at Moonbyul, "Moonbyul you will lead your pack soldiers and one of my betas will assist you.
"Jennie", he said turning to me. "You will lead group B of my pack and as well have one of my betas assisting you. I will of course lead group A and as for Yuqi. You will evacuate everyone from our pack to the safety cabins, your mother will help you. Also please begin doing this now."
Following father's orders my mother and Yuqi went out the room to the pack. Finishing up telling the positions he now announced the locations where we would all be located.
"Moonbyul you will be located on the west side of our land, stay hidden. Jennie you will be located south, and I will be located north. You may be wondering who will protect the east side, well one of my betas will take control of that area. Everyone please be safe, and win for our pack." The wolfs got up from their seats and yelled a yes sir.
"Meeting dismissed."
Everyone then rushed out of the room to get prepared and situated on their location.
Walking out of the room with Moonbyul, our father spoke.
"Please be safe", he hugged us both.
"We will", both said at the same time and hugged him back.
We all pulled away and left, Moonbyul and I went our separate ways but not before hugging each other and saying a few words of encouragement. After that I exited the building and saw that my village was empty. Mom and Yuqi did a great job on evacuating them in a short time.
"Hey Unnie!" I turned back and saw Yuqi, with her was her mate, Lucas.
I felt assured the Yuqi would have someone to look over her while the war was going to happen.
"What's up Yuqi?"
"The sky", she laughed. I rolled my eyes.
"Aside from jokes I wanted to say to be safe tomorrow", she stated.
I smiled and hugged her, "I will, same goes for you okay curl fries."
She let go, "Yah! I thought we agreed to not call me that."
I laughed her cuteness, "Your nickname is curly fries?" Lucas asked giggling.
"N-no it's not", she blushed. What a cute couple.
"But jokes aside, Yuqi tell mom to have soldiers with you at the cabin. You never know if they will attack over there as well." She nodded.
"Anyway I have to leave you guys I have to prepare."
I hugged Yuqi on last time and said my goodbye to Lucas. Heading to my group of soldiers, I started to explain a strategy for the war. An hour later I was done and dismissed them. Now it was time to get a few hours of sleep for tomorrow. Father also explain to me that they would at least the most attack at 7am sharp. Knowing this was going to be a tiring day, I decide to sleep early.
•Time Skip•
The next morning I woke up to my alarm early. Oh how I wish to stay in bed, but today I cannot. I wonder about my mate and how this day will go. I hope nothing bad happens today but of course something always happens. Right? After thinking way to much I got up and dressed in my fighting clothes.
After that I headed downstairs where my family was. The atmosphere seemed tense, I wouldn't blame them since today is a bad day.
My mother spoke up, "Please be safe", she looked at Moonbyul and I.
We both nodded, "of course mom."
She smiled and stood up. She walked towards us with arms open. We got up and hugged her. She placed a kiss on Unnie and I heads. Finishing up my breakfast and saying goodbye I headed straight to my soldiers. We moved to the south part of our territory.
Everyone seemed quite and focused, ready for the attack. I was really nervous about this situation. I really hope Jisoo doesn't get hurt and even her pack.
"Hey are you okay?" I looked up to who's voice it belong to, Jackson Wang, one of my father's most trusted beta.
"I'm just nervous on how this will all go down."
He nodded listening to me, "Don't think about the negatives, just think after this you and Jisoo will be together without having her bastard of a brother seeking revenge."
He ended his sentence with a smile. Being distracted, I didn't notice a blue flare being flared onto the sky. They have arrived and that's when the chaos began.
Suddenly Jackson began shouting, "Their coming!"
I turned my head to the front, where the enemy would appear.
"Everyone on your positions!"
The soldiers turned to wolfs and stood on their fighting stand waiting for them to attack. The next thing you know blood is shed on the ground. It happened so quickly, soldiers dying after another. It was truly a bloody sight. I stood horrified at the scene.
"Jennie!"
Before I could process Jackson voice I saw a wolf lounging towards me. Not knowing what happened, the wolf that was about to attack me was laying on the floor bleeding. I shrieked.
"Stay alert Jennie."
I nodded, slowly getting my head back into reality. Another wolf made its way to me, but this time I was prepared. I kicked the wolf in the face making it loose balance and fall on the floor, I then took out a knife. I hesitated, I can't just take a life.
The wolf got back on its feet, it took this opportunity to pin me on the floor. The wolf's grip was strong, he seemed to laugh.
"Oh look a damsel in distress to bad your prince won't be able to save you", he mocked me.
I smirked, "Your right because I will save myself." I kicked the wolf where the sun don't shine.
I then got off the floor as I swung my knife at him landing on his arm. Dang that's going to leave a big scar.
He held his arm, "You bitch!" He came and attacked me, unfortunately he was to slow.
I landed a him a big cut on his chest, knocking him out, bullseye. I then looked down at my shirt, great blood. As the war went on other wolfs kept attacking me and I did as well. Only I would knock them out and not killing them. This of course earned me a load of cuts and bruises around my body. Realizing another red flare was shot, this can only mean bad news.
I turned to Jackson, "Take charge I'm going north!"
He nodded and kept on fighting. Running as fast as my human legs could take me I arrived only to face dead wolfs everywhere. Where's my father? Tears began to form. Please tell me he is okay. I then heard a cough behind me. I realized it was my father.
I ran to him, "Dad! Are you okay?!"
He looked at me, his eyes showing little life in him. I can't loose him.
"Dad!" I began to cry.
"Sweetie", he coughed up blood.
"Your going to make it dad, don't worry you'll make it!"
He smiled, "I'm afraid this is the end for me."
"NO! It's not!"
His hand went up to my face, "You'll be okay Jennie, your a strong woman. I believe in you."
By now I was a crying mess, "Please dad no don't go."
"I love you, as well as your mom and your sisters."
I hugged him tightly, "Don't you dare die on me!"
"Now you know how it felt when I lost my own parents." I recognized that voice well, oh how I despise him. I stood up and faced him.
"You want to play then we will play, only now this is my game Kim Seokjin."
