The seven of us were enjoying tea time when a royal lap dog and a church thot walked in. "Lady mage hero?" The thot says. I ignore her as I grab another cookie. The thot seems put off but the royal guard is angered. "You're presence is required in the throne room right now. Failure to do so is considered a heretical treasonous act you stupid monstrous bitch." The nun nods. "Hes right! You're no hero. You're a worse monster than the shield devil! I bet that angel was an illusion! There's no way someone like YOU would be in contact with the divinity you hateful demon!" Now that gets my attention. I stand up enraged as I march over to them. "Who the fuck do you think you are to interrupt my tea time/party? The sign was flipped closed for a reason! I'm exhausted from the waves and just want a moment to rest. So go tell your highness and popeliness that I'm currently BUSY and have no reason to rush my tired body. If me resting is treason and heresy, then brand me a heretic! Your king and pope have done nothing for me or this kingdom, so if you want to denounce me... I WILL GLADLY LEAVE! NOW BE GONE YOU TRASH!" I beat them senseless and kick them out.
"AND DON'T YOU EVER COME BACK OR ASK ME FOR ANYTHING AGAIN YOU DAMN SCUM! THIS 'HERETIC' HAS HAD IT WITH THIS COUNTRIES BULLSHIT!" I scream at them as they run to the castle. I smirk in satisfaction as I sit down and finish my cake. A half hour later I sneak into the castle. The nun and guard are telling the king and pope how I insulted them and attacked them.

The guard pales and the king looks furious. Then I play the nuns words next. "He's right! You're no Hero. You're a worse monster than the shield devil! I bet that angel was an illusion! There's no way someone like YOU would be in contact with the divinity you hateful demon!" Under the popes disappointed stare the nun looks ashamed.
"That's what they said right before I kicked them out. The store was closed and I was resting after the wave. Is a hero not entitled to a break? Oh wait- I'm not a hero. I'm a heretic! Oh silly me, I almost forgot that I decided to finish my tea time break before coming here. Guess I'm not welcome in this country... I know! I'll go to Faulby instead! At least there, heroes are welcome... and probably NOT insulted."
The king sweats and the pope bows. "My Blessed Hero, I promise these two will be punished severely for their actions. They will be crippled and banished from the capital and church for their transgressions, so please forgive our oversight on this matter!" I hum. "Very well. Now I dare say, what seems to be the reason of this summons? If it is in regards to that angel I'll be frank. That is a gift granted to me by the spirit god. She's like a puppet but with the powers and form of an angel. As far as I'm aware she can attack and heal fatal wounds and decimated lands... I never learned much about angels so if that's what they tend to do I guess it's a genuine angel? I've never seen one before so...."
The pope smiles. "We never questioned whether it was! That was indeed a divine messenger. But, this humble priest would like to ask if you could possible give that power to us of the church? It's only right that it is worshipped properly."
I grit my teeth in rage. "IMPUDENCE! you dare ask me to give you the blessing given to me by a god that is not yours to you? Greedy thieves! No wonder that nun had such a mouth! You're asking me to commit a sin against my patron deity who has protected and communed with me? That would be spitting in my gods face! Just by asking such a thing shows how unfaithful and greedy you are! You're spitting in not only your gods face by saying such things, but my own as well! Although gods may be busy, they always hear and know of what their followers do and say. Do you not fear the wrath of your own god or my god? You claim to be a faithful follower, yet instead of asking your god for a blessing you ask me for mine! Do you think so little of the gods powers and feelings that they would let you off freely? I have spoken my mind on the gods of my world in an ill manner, and I felt their wrath for it. Though it was a mere warning to not be disrespectful anymore, I was careful not to insult any further. But in my world there are stories of thousands of heroes and gods. And almost all of their stories end in tragedy in no small part because of a god. Hell, the queen of gods was a jealous lady and even turned a mortal woman that the king of gods was in love with, into livestock and tortured her! That same goddess tossed out her own child cause he was ugly, but took him back when she realized he crafted the most heavenly pieces of jewelry. And that's just one goddess of one countries myths. And that's not even when she was super mad. The point is that you really don't want to cross the gods. And what you want to do is definetly crossing a god. By even suggesting such a thing in public you could be accused of heresy against your god, and so could I. We could both be screwed because of you. And not just us, in my world sometimes the gods it's reaches world-wide. Causing droughts and bad harvests, terrible blizzards and natural disasters, taking away the sun and FIRE which are essential to life, then there's the story of Pandora's box which is basically about how all the gods came together to make a beautiful woman who was told not to open the cursed box which she was entrusted with. She opened it and let out 4 of 5 humanity ruining bats... we're lucky she shut the 5th one in cause that would've taken away our hope for the future. That 5th bat was what I like to call the "spoiler alert" bat. Basically it would've told people what was destined to happen to them each day leaving them with no hope for the future.... so that sucks ass, especially since it was the gods glittering golden loot crate of secret goodies... so for everyone's sale let's pretend this conversation never happened okay?"
The pope nods weakly pailer than death. And that's saying something considering he was already as white as paper before. I turn to the king next. "I assume that you also wanted something from me your majesty? If it was just the pope that wanted to speak to me the church would've been best but since it's the throne room I assume you wish to talk about malty's sentencing and the wave compensation? Don't give me that look your majesty. I do recall saying that I would not help this country if she tried to hurt me and I said for sure that I was not going to let her rude remarks slide... she also all but admitted to wanting me dead and even threatened my life! Her remark at the sight of me proves she attempted to kill me during the wave. If she's not made to take responsibility, then I will withdraw all support to this country. That includes the blessing of Gabriel on the lands. I'm offended that she's not even restrained or anything. I'm feeling generous so I'll give you... a month. If in a months time she's not been sentenced and/or she's done even MORE evil things to me, I'll leaving the capital in ashes and the lands in rubble on my way out as a sign of my repayment for your lack of sincerity towards someone whose done nothing but help your country. Well, it's actually my idea but it was brought to life by my friend Nikolav. I'm sure you've noticed this giant tower of crystal in front of me... well, this is my newest project brought to life. I call it The Crystallum Tower, or the 'Crystal Tower.' As you can see there's a distortion of aether around it... Nikolav will be showing us around and explaining it all to me."

It truly is a sight to behold though... "alright Nikolav, please explain this tower to me. What is this aether distortion around the tower? Is it a barrier or something?"
N: Indeed it is! I had help from the magic god... it was difficult to cast.
A: how does it work?
N: it draws magic from the realms and earth. It's manipulated by the core to keep unwanted out. I will explain it more in depth later. It draws on the dimensional magic that the waves release in order to expand the inside and summon.... well you'll see!😊

I go up to the counter and ding the bell. A Niko look alike stands there. "Hello lady Alyss! I will be your receptionist today~ first we need to register you in the tower as a climber!
Please poke the needle so we can begin." I then go through a series of lie detector questions and regestrations to the tower.
Nikolav puppet explained that it's to rule out the unsavory, and anyone affiliated with the church who tried to enter the tower would suffer severely in multiple ways. This was because Nikolav determined the church to be unsavory and untrustworthy. After my registration the puppet explains how the tower works.
"The tower takes away your levels and makes you start at 1. So you start over from the beginning. Any experience you earn is added to the level you had when you first entered the tower. So if you enter as a level 40 you'll start back from level 1, but if you level up to level 5 here, somehow, you'll gain 5 levels. You can't keep any items that are left behind by monsters in here though. HOWEVER you CAN exchange them. Everything you do here is tied to your blood registration. We give out certain tasks and create special events that can count towards 'points'. Points can be earned by completing tasks, participating in raids and special events, and of course: MONSTER SUBJUGATION! Points are the currency of the tower. They can be used to exchange for items from our catalogs and can be used to buy the parts of subjugated monsters from the butcher's! We also have a auction system. You can use it to auction off items for points. Adventurers aren't the only ones who can come here and use the facilities. We offer a variety of classes and jobs for housewives, farmers, cooks, alchemists, and so much more!"
"Ooooo~ do tell me more about these classes and jobs dear receptionist!" He clears his throat. "Well, as I'm sure you all know, the waves can be devastating. The classes we teach are to better the daily lives of others as well as help rebuild the livelihoods of the wave victims. Utilizing the knowledge that you've brought from your world we will teach those who are willing to learn, how to better protect themselves, healing without the use of magic, and things that can improve their daily lives. We are also offering entertainment classes, and general schooling for people from children to young adults. The types of classes include: arts and crafts, house management, proper etiquette, life chores, money management, and basic plant growing just to name a few."
"Interesting... So can people earn money here?"
"Yes but not directly. Points can be exchanged for objects that can be sold for money. 5 points is 1 silver worth of an object. We can't exchange money, but we can exchange your points for something or somethings equal to the amount of money you want. In the future we may be able to exchange points for money in the future but for now it's a no go."
I nod. "Tell us about the floors functions?"
"Each floor is randomly generated and are different everyday. Every floors landscape is different except for safe floors. Safe floors are every 5th floor. As long as you have reached a safe floor you can use the obelisk to port to another safe floor you've used. You can also use certain tower functions from safe floors. On each safe floor there is a healer, an auction house, and a cafeteria. HOWEVER the point prices are high in order to discourage you from using them. It would cause trouble for businesses in town, and you don't want to waste your points on such things after all... do you? There's also a ranking system in place to encourage friendly competition and cooperation outside the tower! Ranks won't increase experience bonuses, but there are rewards to be had! Experience here is divided by 3 categories: strategy, contribution, and adaptability. Strategy: is determined by your knowledge of your enemy and how to properly utilize your role the battlefield. Contribution: did you perform your role, or did you hold your teammates back and cause them problems? Adaptability: when things go south, are you able become someone that the party needed in order to turn the tides? These 3 things are ultimately what make or break a battle. The lower you rank, the less you'll get out of it."
I hum. "Interesting. So, what about the heroes? Their leveling is tied to their weapons and it's impossible to reset their classes!"
"That's a special case. Heroes and their partys levels aren't reset. Instead, they're sent to a custom level that simulates a wave scenario, war, or something equally bad.bthose are the only times where money will be involved. Such times will act as a sort of funding blockbuster event. We do require at least a little bit of money to run this place after all. Also special treatment in regards to the heroes, a official will always be on standby to make sure they don't die. We need them after all. Participation is optional for the heroes though considering how bad their performance was last time I think they should all participate together. Teamwork is crucial in the waves especially since they're just gonna get more difficult and finishing the fights quickly is most important to reduce damage and casualties. Thats all the info we have for now. More info can be learned by asking at the reception desk."
