"Come on (Y/n), you can do better than this.."
"Is this why you gave me some damn trousers?!" You stumbled back once again, "Because my knees would've been eroded off by now!"
This made Giyu smile in a demeaning manner, "I mean if you want to die easily then be my guest."
"Yeah.. You sound like Shinobu.." You shivered at the thought of the woman, but quickly had to dodge another sneaky hit, "Give me a second, my mask is about to fall off!"
Having heard your dangerous situation, he stopped.. But the truth was, there was nothing wrong with your mask...
'I did a double knot and everything hehe!'
Just as Giyu was busy staring plainly into the sky, you started your new move inspired by the man himself,
"Breath of Snow..." You turned your blade onto the dull side so that the hit was less dangerous.
'I have to hit him, this move can work on me too if I'm not careful..'
"Ninth Style; Hibernation..."
In an instant the spirit of a calm winter day rushed through you and hit Giyu like a hurricane, making him drop his weapon in shock.
Your eyes grew drowsy as you started running with as much focus that you could muster..
You took a deep breath to try and keep sight of the man as he quickly took up his sword again.
"Breath of Snow, Seventh Style; Northern Lights.."
You twisted your waist to make a full circle attack to the man, but little did you know, your momentum was awful.
So awful that he was able to catch your blade and flip you over with his leg to the ground.
"Ouch... Thagh wash meeeeaann-"
"Maybe next time you should try taking focus breaths before the attack not after, so to keep yourself awake for longer.." He put down the bottom side of your mask as you blushed.
'He could've shut me up in a different way..'
"And only use Hibernation as a last resort in battle, since it gets you this drowsy.." He picked your tired body up, "Other than that, I am honoured to have inspired you.."
You gently smiled, "Igh wash nuthinnnn.."
Even though you were head over heels, the man still cringed at your lazy voice.
"Yeah, go to sleep (Y/n).."
"Hokay."
//////// After your nap...
You woke up with a banging headache, and groaned as someone tapped your lower back.
This tapping grew into hits, and you quickly spun around to be greeted by a cup of tea.
Your brow twitched, "You nearly broke my spine, for green tea Giyu.."
You sat up and took the hot beverage as Giyu drank his, "It's one of the best cures for the headache and fatigue you have.."
You sighed at his correctness and looked at the far window, the sun rays far away from touching you.
"I don't think we are gonna find a cure you know.." You faced the man, "And even if we do there may not be enough, so I want Nezuko to take it.."
Giyu put down his drink and turned to rest his elbows in the bed, "Explain why you think that.."
"It would bring more joy if Nezuko was cured.. At least one of her family members would be there to rejoice.. Apart from you Giyu, all my family are gone."
You didn't even notice that your cup was shaking in your grip, and Giyu took it before you would spill it by accident.
".. It's just so depressing, I don't know if they are wrongly blaming me, or they know it was Kibutsuji who killed them.." Giyu hugged you as tears fell down your cheeks, "I-I don't know if that redemption of my sin can be fulfilled Giyu.. "
He had always known that you went through hell before meeting him, he could remember the harsh look you gave him in the eyes on that cold fateful day..
But he honestly never knew that it affected you this badly, and he urged for you to speak to him about everything that tainted your kind heart.
"(Y/n), you're the biggest hypocrite I have ever known.." He started rocking your shaking body, "How could you think that it would be okay for you to take on everyone's troubles, and deal with such a haunting past.."
"N-Nobody has ever sympathized with me on an equal level.." You wiped the flowing tears, "It's always belittling pity.."
"What about Tanjirou and me?" You kept quiet, "I've seen you fight, and you have earned my respect.. So all I ask is that you allow me to carry some of those sins you have.."
Your face darkened whilst the man spoke, "I may not be a priest or a religious leader, but I can tell it really weighs you down (Y/n).."
"Thank you again Giyu.." You wrapped your legs and arms around his torso like a koala and held on like your life depended on it.
And surprisingly enough, Giyu didn't even seem bothered, used to your clingy behaviour at this point.
"Your tea is gonna go cold.." He warned to deaf ears, "And we are training again so you can attempt Hibernation."
This made you hiss...
//////// In the afternoon...
"Full focus breath..." You channelled all the focused energy to your brain, "Ninth Style; Hibernation!"
Once again the wave of cool serenity came over your whole being, but due to your focus breath, your mind was kept stimulated and awake.
'It worked..!'
Although Giyu was now prepared for this attack from experience, he couldn't help but notice how you almost became one with the peacefulness.. He clutched his blade, ready to deflect anything.
"Breath of Snow, Fifth Style; Glacier Impact!" You ran up ahead, adrenaline pumping through your veins as Giyu stood in slight shock from your transformation.

'We love you, no matter what you may have done.. Okaa-san loves you.."
'Carry on the Tribe's light for Dad will ya..'

The blade of your sword stopped just by Giyu's airway, causing minor bleeding as you dropped the weapon in total disbelief..
"(Y-Y/N).." He mumbled, just before you made him fall back in a hug.
Tears leaked out your eyes like a waterfall, and drenched the man's shirt.
Your mask came undone, and Giyu just managed to grab your parasol from your back as you sobbed.
"I heard them.."
"Heard who (Y/n)?" He shaded you under the useful item.
"They don't hate me.." You croaked, "And they don't even know if I killed them or n-not!"
Their kindness and ability to love you, despite not knowing if you may have been a cold-hearted monster that night made you feel so unworthy.
The purity in your family truly did run in your veins..
Giyu finally clocked on, but couldn't understand how something so supernatural could have happened to you..
"Maybe it's a blessing, and now you know, so stop worrying okay.." That man sat up, still shading you under the parasol.
You finally looked him in the eyes, and remembered your father's blessings..
"They would really like for me to marry you.." This made Giyu flush from embarrassment.
"Th-They watch me.."
He couldn't help but shiver, knowing that your old man was always watching his every move..
"Yes, but they would probably know to leave us be when the time calls for it.." You leant into his chest, "This is so wonderful.."
He looked down at your serene beauty and made a mental promise to do your family proud..
By taking your hand, and hopefully making you his wife someday..
Damn that was so cute.. Got me crying a bit!
Hope you guys are enjoying these chapters, I am trying to ensure I don't change Giyu's personality at all.. But I don't know how he would behave in these situations..
