Kim Taehyung has no plan whatsoever when he decided to leave his home. He didnt want to go to his parents house because they will ask him question that he himself not ready to answer.
But he has nowhere else to go. But then he remember someone whom he thought could help. He took out his phone and call the person.
Park Jimin
"Hello? Taehyung?" Jimin answer and ask him. But listening to Jimin's voice made Taehyung break even more. Hearing Jimin's voice after such a long time makes his heart ache. It was always Jimin who is always there for him before. Before there was Jungkook. He misses him.
"Jimin-ah" Taehyung's voice break. He is trying to speak but the tears just wont stop falling. He cover his mouth with his hands so Jimin wont hear his cries. But Taehyung should know better.
"Taehyung? Are you okay?" Jimin ask. There's concerned in his voice. But Taehyung need a minute to calm himself. He can barely speak right now without crying. Telling Jungkook how he really feels is taking a toll on him.
Honesty was never easy.
Jimin hear a faint cry in the background. He knew something is wrong. Taehyung is crying.
"Tell me where you are, i'll come get you. Its okay if you cant speak, just text me where you are. I'll come, okay?" Jimin tells Taehyung. Jimin knows him too well that when Taehyung is crying, he can barely speak.
After Taehyung tells him okay, he waited for Taehyung to send him a text before ending the call. Jimim grab the car key on the table.
"Babe, i need to borrow your car. I'll be back soon. Love you. And i made breakfast" Jimin says in a loud voice before leaving. After driving for about 15 mins he stops at a bus stop. Its the place that Taehyung text him. He exit the car to find him and he did.
Taehyung is sitting there, with a medium size bag in his lap. He put his hoodie up to cover his face but Taehyung is just staring at the ground. Jimin walks toward him and when he is in front of him, Taehyung look up. Jimin scan his face. Terrible eye bag that makes him look like he hasn't sleep in a year, swollen eyes from crying.
Jimin caress Taehyung's face. He wiped Taehyung eyes even though he is not crying anymore. "Let's go?" Jimin ask. Taehyung just stare blankly at Jimin before nodded. He stand up and walks toward Jimin's car and get in. Jimin didn't ask or say anything during the drive back. He figured that Taehyung need some space. He arrived at his house and bring Taehyung inside.
Jimin put Taehyung's bag on the couch and told Taehyung to go to the kitchen. Taehyung just follow. He sits and wait for Jimin. A sound of a door opened so Taehyung assumed that Jimin went to his room but he hears footsteps coming toward the kitchen.
Soon a shirtless man walks in. Both of them is frozen in their place. Then the shirtless man scream because he is shocked. "What are you doing here?!" He ask Taehyung. "Uhhhhh.... i uhhhh.. actually.." Taehyung is unsure of what to say. Who is this dude? Did he entered the wrong house?
"Omg heyy, you guys met already last night. So... umm. Taehyung this is Yoongi, and babe, this is Taehyung." Jimin rushed to the kitchen after hearing a small scream.
"And babe, maybe put some shirt on. And we'll talk" Jimin says to Yoongi.
"Your boyfriend?" Taehyung asked. Jimin takes a seat in-front of Taehyung.
"Yeah" Jimin answered.
Both of them just stops talking afterwards. The silence was so awkward for Jimin. He wanted to ask but he's afraid that Taehyung will burst to tears.
"Want some hot chocolate?" Jimin suddenly gets up and heated the kettle. Even though Taehyung did not answer him, he still makes it. If Taehyung doesn't want one then maybe he'll give it to Yoongi.
"I ask Jungkook to divorce me.." Taehyung breaks the silence. Jimin is shocked. He only found out last night that he and Jungkook is married and now he ask for divorce? What happened?
"Wanna talk about it?" Jimin asked carefully. Despite being curious about the whole damn thing, he still consider Taehyung's feelings first. If he wants to talk about it then he will listen.
"I feel like, you're the only person in this world who doesn't judge me. Despite me being in a gay marriage. You just accept me for who i am" Taehyung says.
"Its what friends do. They accept each other. And besides, as if i can judge you for being gay. Im in a relationship with a man" Jimin says and wink.
Taehyung smiles. He misses Jimin. Jimin is his best friend since middle school. They went to middle and high school together. In the past, they were inseparable. What happened to the both of them..
"He likes someone else.. someone at work.. they been seeing each other for 8 months now. I notice him changing but i just shrug it off, you know. I said to myself that maybe he's tired. Maybe there's too much work, too much this or too much that. I tried not to jump to conclusion and second guess things but i guess I'm just in denial" Taehyung start to talk. He put his hand on the back of his neck.
"How do you know that they're seeing each other?" Jimin asked. He put the hot chocolate in front of Taehyung and takes a seat in front of him.
"It was an accident at first. I went to his office to bring him lunch. That was almost a year ago now. He was working on a new project so he's be busy with work so much that he usually skips lunch. But i saw Lisa, the girl at work.. i saw her bringing Jungkook food. At first i thought of it as nothing but it became more often. Every time i came by to the office Jungkook is already eating with her. There's one time she cook for him. Saw her bringing tupperware. Afterwards Jungkook rarely eats at home. Even dinner too. He just, come home, shower and sleeps. Before he would ask me why i didn't go to bring him food. Now, he doesn't even bother anymore." Taehyung keeps on talking and keep on touching his neck.
"You should've walked in on them." Yoongi says.
Yoongi takes a sit next to Jimin. Jimin glare at him for saying it carelessly to Taehyung.
"I know, i should've walked right in.." Taehyung says in a low voice. He is about to cry again.
"Im at fault too, not just Jungkook. I let this happened. Now its too late.." he wipes his tears and look at Jimin and Yoongi. "Im sorry Jimin-ah, we haven't seen each other in 5 years and now you're listening to me talking about Jungkook." Taehyung said.
"Just like old times" Jimin says though there's bitter in his voice and Yoongi realize that. He smiles to Taehyung. "Im gonna order some takeaway, don't think we have enough groceries for 3. Speaking of that, we need to go groceries shopping soon" Jimin gets up from his seat, kiss Yoongi's head and went to the living room. To make a phone call maybe.
Taehyung watch how Jimin treat Yoongi, his heart ache at the affection the both of them shows. He know Jimin did it unintentionally but he cant help but to think of Jungkook. He misses his husband.. so damn much that it hurts.. he touched his chest.
"What used to be there?" Yoongi asked Taehyung. He grab his hot chocolate and takes a sip. Its his hot chocolate now.
Taehyung don't understand his question. "What?" He asked him back.
"Ever since you started talking about your husband earlier you keep touching your neck and your chest. Like its a habit of playing with something that used to be there" Yoongi explain and takes another sip.
"Sharp one, aren't you" Taehyung says. "A necklace used to be here. With my wedding ring as its pendant.." Taehyung tells him. He touches his neck. He miss playing with it.
"I give it back to Jungkook this morning when i ask for the divorce." He continues.
"I don't mean to sound rude or unsympathetic towards what you're going through right now. Im really sorry about your marriage crisis. But you cant stay here, with us." Yoongi tells Taehyung.
"You cant stay here with Jimin. Find somewhere else to stay" Yoongi..
