 Hello people!!!!

Warning not edited.

Last time:

"Hello, Casper Police Department, how may we help you?

"Hi, this is Rosaline James. Any news?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Ah, Miss. James, it's been a while."

"Yes, a couple months. I just wanted to call in and ask if there has been any developments in the case."

"Ah yes, and how curious the case is. We have been looking into brakes, per your request and we have found nothing conclusive yet. We are hopeful that in-"

"So you haven't found anything?" I asked, starting to get annoyed.

"No, no, we have some leads about the brakes, they seemed to have been tampered with. But it is just a observation, again, we have not proved anything."

"Uh, thank you, is there anything else?"

"No, not yet. We’ll call you back if anything comes back conclusive."

"Okay. Bye."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When I finally reached home and Alec left to get groceries, I was finally left with my thoughts.

Mentally exhausted, I sat down at the counter, my head falling into it. I sighed harshly and scowled into the granite.

So, I have nothing. They can't figure out what happened to the brakes, or anything else for that matter. What can I do from here? I'm so far away from Casper, how can I do anything?

A slam of the door awoke me from my brooding and my head shot up from the counter. Alec appeared in the doorway, laden with multiple bags of food.

"Really, are you feeding an army now, ad didn't tell me? It’s just the two of us."  I looked at him with an eyebrow raised.

He had the grace to look embarrassed before glancing sheepishly at me, big blue eyes wide. "I wasn't sure what you liked, so I bought everything."

"Oh wow." I walked over and grabbed one of the bags. Bringing them to the counter, I looked inside and found multiple brands of cereals, dozens of snacks. The other bags held meats and spices, and then I found the ice cream.  Yum.

Alec walked over to me and smoothed the wrinkle in between my eyes. “Thinking too much?” He asked softly.

“Oh, yeah.”

“Wait about?”

“Nothing.”

Now it was his turn to raise his eyebrow at me. I scowled and smacked his hand away. Turning around, I started to gather the food and put it away. He cleared his throat and moved over to help. I clenched all my muscles and refused to look into his face.

I already knew that today his hair was a little tousled, getting a little long, creating little curls in his blond hair. I knew he had on a blue tee-shirt that perfectly highlighted his eyes, making them shine even brighter, if that was possible.

I focused myself on the task at hand, never pausing as I stuffed item after item in the refrigerator.

“How about we go on a run?”

“A run? Why?”

“Because it will be fun of course, I’ll call up Lina and Henry to go too.”

“Do I have to go? Why can’t I stay here?”

“Because you need a stress free environment, and I am here to give it to you, via an amazing run.” He then swept his arm out in a sweeping gesture and with just a grin as warning, I found myself thrown over a shoulder.

“Well, excuse me.” I said seriously, yet I could not stop the giggle that escaped.

"I am the King of fun. I have kidnapped you and I now order you to have fun on the trip." I laughed, and squirmed as I felt his shoulders shake as he joined my laughter.

"Put me down, big guy. Or I might have to hurt you." I said in as serious voice I could muster, while upside down and staring at his back.

"Never! I am King!" He yelled, and I pounded his back playfully. "Lets go, my princess." Then he turned around and strode out the door, taking me with him.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We pulled up to the edge of the forest, and I stepped out of the car, Alec joining me.

"Think, fun." He whispered in my ear. I laughed as his warm breath tickled my ear.  "Alright, I am thinking fun. Your Majesty." I did an exaggerated curtsy and then walked towards the trees.

"When are Lina and Henry going to get here?" I called back to Alec. "They should be here anytime," and before he had even finished speaking, I could see Lina's yellow sports car coming down the road.

I turned around and waited for her to join us. She popped out of her car, wearing a bright, but simple sundress. On the passenger side, Henry climbed out.

Lina came over to me I said hello. I was hesitant to say anymore since I did not really know her. She was obviously very nice. Who else would go to a stranger's house and help them get ready for a party?

We ended up just standing there a little awkwardly, while Alec was greeting Henry like they had known each other their whole lives. I eyed the exchange enviously, as I could never make friends that fast. Alec was the one that broke me and Lina's silence as he clapped his hands and declared it was time to have fun.

I rolled my eyes and hoped he would not start the King thin-

There it was.

"As the King of Fun, I declare it time to go have our run." He shouted and clapped his hands again. He turned to me, a grin on his face, and mock whispered. "For dramatic affect."

I smiled and nodded, "Okay, lets go."

Lina moved a little over to me and Henry started to go on about sports with Alec. There was a Tim Brady or something like that. I tuned out after a while.

We traveled a little into the forest and while I would never admit it out loud, I was getting more and more excited at every step.

Once we were in the forest a ways, I could barely hold my excitement. With all the life and nature around me, my wolf was practically clawing to get out. I quickly stripped my clothes off and sighed before I shifted.

As my bones slid and pulled under my skin it was slightly painfully because of how long it had been since I had last shifted.

As my paws hit the ground I looked around at all the wolves. Henry has shifted into a light colored brown wolf, Lina, a darker brown, but Alec. He was the most amazing wolf I had ever seen.

He was larger than Henry and the rest of us, with powerful legs and a lean yet strong body, but what astounded me was his fur. The lightish shade of yellow, an almost blond color that made his eyes a deep gold color seem the slightest but amber.

He walked over to me and rubbed his muzzle along my snout. I purred and pushed my muzzle back, breathing in his scent.

I jumped away and looked at him with playful eyes.

I let out a short bark and Lina bounded over, pushing me with her shoulder. I turned and looked, my lips pulling into a wolfish grin.

I jumped on her back, rolling myself and her over to the ground. Alec ran over jumping into the pile. Henry at his heels.

We roughhoused for a little while and slowly my foul mood disappeared.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I looked up, my eyes searching for the rustle in the trees. I glanced back to my friends, still playing in the trees. I caught Alec's eyes and gestured to the rustle. He nodded happily and turned away.

The rustle was there again and I raced after it. I ran and ran not realizing how far I was going.

I slid to a stop, my paws soaked from the wet leaves I had ran over.

-rustle-

My ears pricked up at the sound, muzzle swinging in the direction. I slowly placed my paw down and stalked towards the bush, ears flicking.

One paw after another, my eyes glued on the spot. My muscles bunched, I drew a deep breath, leaned back, and jumped.

Landing on a squirming rabbit.

I quickly killed it and grabbed it in my jaws, my head raising in pride. I turned around and started to prance back to my friends.

I was a stealthy, mean, cold-blooded killer.

I growled, just to show any imaginary attackers I meant business.I ran to go find Alec, and show him my prey. Then I heard the growls.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I raced towards the sound, rabbit lay forgotten on the ground. Growls and snarls filling my ears.

I found myself in a clearing faced with my friends and two new wolves.

Alec was locked in a fierce battle with a dark brown colored wolf. He was big and clearly a male, but it wasn't what struck me. The scent was......

I looked at the other wolf in the clearing. She was a light reddish brown, shuffling her paws and looking at the wolf in the battle anxiously.

Alec was clearly winning, but the brown wolf was holding his own.

As I shifted closer the wind blew my way and a caught a full whiff of the scent. It couldn't be.

I shifted and couldn't help the excited laughter that bubbled from my lips. I ran to the fight, and wrapped my arms around the brown wolf. He immediately stopped moving.

I buried my face in his fur, breathing in the scent as familiar to me as my own.

"Liam."
