Josiah's POV:
Things with India have been going good. After that incident on her birthday we talked about it and we decided not to let silly things pull us apart. We had just finished our exams and it was finally summer. This summer we had to make it lit. Our parents came back for roughly two weeks then they went back to Africa.
I decided to take India out today because I've been having the best time of my life with her and I want her to know this. I grabbed my phone and looked at the time.
9:45am
I gently shook India. "What Josiah?" She snapped
"Damn girl I just want you to wake up" I said
"Jojo I'm tired" she said
"Baby , you've got a few hours to get ready because I'm taking you out tonight okay" I said and kissed her forehead
"What's the occasion?" She asked
"Things have just been going so well , no secrets no nothing I just wanna treat you" I said
"Aww , you don't have too" she protested
"I do , now I'm going home to take a shower and I'm going to link Blaze so I'll pick you up at 6pm" I said as I got up
"That's so far away bubba" she whined
"Nah it's decent , don't worry it'll be worth it , now come here and give me a kiss" I said as she turned her head to my direction
"I'm tired you come to me" She said and I laughed
I kissed her and left her house.
few hours later
"Blaze I want to marry her" I said whilst we played fifa
"Bro shut up , you're sixteen" he said
"I know but I know I love her and I know we are meant to be"
"Get out of your feelings man , I'm tired of you talking about India"
"Damn trouble in paradise? Wagwan with you and Paige?" I curiously asked
"She's been tripping about this whole gang ish for the longest and I can't take it bro" he confessed
"What? Really? Do you want me to askIndia to ask Paige to cut you some slack because India hasn't brought that up since I was fucked up" I said
"Yeah please man because it's irritating as hell , I know what I'm getting myself into I don't need her constantly reminding me"
"So who you think is the new boss?" I asked
"I have no idea because Isiah doesn't want to be the boss so I'm not sure" he said
"Rumours have it , it's a woman" I said
"What? I hope she's sexy as fuck" he said and I laughed
"You think she can handle the gang?" I asked
"Definitely, she's probably in her late twenties" he said
I looked at the time and saw it was 5pm. I had to get ready.
"Bro I've gotta hit the shower and get ready to go out with inds"I said
"Aight I gotta go anyway so I'll see you soon yeah?" He said and I nodded heading to the shower

I knocked on India's door , even though I had a key I wanted to make this special. I had a driver waiting for us in her driveway. I wanted this to be perfect. She opened the door and she looked beautiful. She had on a red strapless dress that came down to her knees and hugged her body. She had those open toe see through heels on and she was holding her purse.
"Wow , you look beautiful" I said as I kissed her
"Thank you and you look handsome baby" she said
I held her hand and we got into the car.
I started snapping her
"Guys look at my baby damn she's so sexy" she started covering her face and I gently pulled her hands down showing her beautiful face
"You are so annoying" she said
"I know and you love me" I said whilst planting a kiss on her lips

Josiah and I where sitting opposite each other at this really fancy restaurant. God I love him. We had just got our food and had started digging in.
"Baby are you enjoying yourself?" Josiah asked
"Yes I am thank you , are you?"
"Definitely baby" he said
I looked far ahead and saw My uncle Issac , Trey and Melvin with a client. Trey looked at me and I looked back to Josiah. i started panicking what if Josiah finds out?
"Baby ? You okay?" Josiah asked
"Um yeah I am , just saw my uncle Issac" I said
"Baby don't worry this gang life won't get to you" he said and all I could do was nod
10 minutes later
"Hey niece , Yo josiah" my uncle Issac said I hadn't even realised he had walked over.
"Hey uncle" I said
"Yo Sir , how you doing?" josiah asked
"I'm good my man" my uncle said
Trey and Melvin made there way here aswel
"Josiah this is Trey and Melvin , my right and left men you've probably heard of them" my uncle said they all greeted each other
"Well we are going to let you enjoy you're dinner , don't have too much fun" My uncle said
"It's nice to see you India" Trey said and I smiled
"How do you know Trey?" Josiah asked
"I've been to one of my uncles traps before that's where I met him" I said which wasn't completely a lie
"Oh calm" he hesitated

"Do you think she's going to tell Josiah that she's the new leader?" Issac said
"I don't know but I hope she does before he find out"
"She could protect him more , if he knew and he could also help her out with things" Melvin said

Josiah's POV:
India's been acting really funny since seeing her uncle and his right and left hand. I don't know if she's scared but something isn't right. We are currently in her bed watching Riverdale.
"I'm going to the bathroom" she said and I nodded
I looked at her side and there was a little box , I was curious and opened it. There was a ring. Purple diamond? Our gang colour? Coincidence maybe. There was a note ' Happy Birthday , from Trey & Gang'. Why the hell would India be getting presents from the gang?
I took a picture and sent it to Blaze. I sat back down and she came back out and put her head on my chest.

To Blaze💙: nah she can't be , ion believe that
From Blaze💙: josiah, Trey asked people what they should get the boss for his/her birthday and people said a ring
To Blaze💙: I need to ask her before I assume shit
I stroked India's hair , I didn't know how to ask this.
"Who got you that ring in that box?" I said and she became tense
"My uncle and Trey" she said
"Anything going on between you and Trey?" I asked
"Josiah? I would never cheat on you" she said whilst getting up to face me
" I know well India I looked at the note in the box , from Trey and Gang? Gang? I'm lost" I said
"Jojo , what do you want to know baby?" she said
"Why the fuck Trey got you a purple ring? Don't act like it don't mean anything , purple our gang colour!" I slightly shouted
"Can you not shout at me" she said
"India you haven't answered my question" I said growing irritated
"I don't know , he got me something and I'm grateful it doesn't mean anything" she said
"I'm finding it so hard to believe you right now but I really want to believe you because you'd never hurt me right? And you'd never lie to me right?" I said and she looked down
"I'd never intentionally hurt you" she let out
"Is there something I don't know?" I asked
"N-o" she hesitated , I chuckled and got up
"Where are you going?" She asked
"You just lied to my face , you think I'm really going to sit up here with you?" I said whilst putting my jacket on
"Josiah no please don't go baby" she said starting to tear up
"Cut that crying out , you are in the wrong here" I said
My phone started ringing and it was Blaze I answered
"Yo" I said
"Bro , I asked Trey and he said yeah it's true" Blaze said
"Calm thanks" I said and hung up
"So we lie to each other now?" I shook my head
"Josiah-" She starts saying
"Are you the new boss?" I asked
"I - Yes" I chuckled
"Can't believe you've been lying to me this whole time , you know what I need to go" I said and she tried to touch me
"Josiah please let me explain" she said
"India you're fucking sixteen and you're a leader of one of the biggest gangs here and you didn't even tell me? Your bestfriend? Your boyfriend? Even blaze figured it out before me, I look like a fucking dickhead and you're the same one that was pissed off when I joined the gang fucking hypocrite "I yelled as tears streamed down her face
"Josiah I done it to protect you" she yelled
"I don't need your fucking protection , get out of my face man fucking dumb bitch" I said out of anger she stared at me for a minute
"So when I found out you were in a gang I forgive you but you can't talk to me about this?" She said
"India shut the fuck up , Atleast I didn't lie about being a gang leader , that's bigger than being in the fucken gang" I yelled and left
"Josiah" she called out and I ignored her
I was so mad , how the fuck is she my boss and i didn't even know this shit? I called an Uber and went to blaze's yard. I knocked on the door and he answered.
"She's our fucking boss" I yelled as I got in
"Bro calm down , Paige is upstairs" Blaze said
"I'm here now , what's going on?" Paige said as I walked to the sofa and sat down
"Did you know India was our boss?"I asked she burst out laughing
"You're not serious , India? Gang leader? Not in a million years" Paige said
"Baby , we just found out she's our boss now did you know or not?" Blaze asked Paige looked very confused
"Oh you're serious , no I didn't know , wow my bestfriend didn't even tell me" Paige said in a low voice
"I can't believe this shit , I'm so pissed off" I yelled
"Cut this shit out Josiah, I'm pissed aswel but have you tried to talk to her about it? Did you let her explain or did you just shout at her and leave?" Paige asked
"It doesn't matter if he shouted at her or not , she deserved that , hows she keeping a secret like that" Blaze said
"Nah big man ting she deserved everything I said to her , I don't even want to see her" I said
"Ok Josiah ok Blaze , now I'm going to see my bestfriend and hear her out because I know she's going to have a good explanation " Paige said whilst getting her stuff
Paige's POV:
I was lost in my thoughts when my Uber driver told me we arrived to my destination. I thanked him and walked up to India's house. I breathed in and out and knocked on the door. India opened the door , she had tears all down her face and it broke my heart. I pulled her into a hug without saying anything. We hugged as she cried for many two minutes then I closed the door behind me and we sat down on her sofa.
"Bestie , what happened?" I asked
" I joined my uncles gang , Josiah found out and I don't know" she said
"Nah bitch I'm going to need a full story" I said as she laughed
"The night Josiah was left for dead triggered something in me , I just wanted to protect him I felt helpless so I called my uncle Issac and asked him to teach me everything he knows and he did , Trey taught me a lot when my uncle wasn't there and he would go to meeting for me so my identity wasn't blown" she stated
"Whew chile , I need to see your sexy uncle soon and Trey sexy as hell how did you not fall for him? Okay I understand this was to protect Josiah but did you ever intend on actually telling him?" I said
" To be honest No , I was scared to tell him I just wanted him to always be protected so I joined all the Greens together so our only opps are those from South or wherever but not here and with Trey I had to hold myself back he's amazing and great but my heart is with Josiah"
"Okay I understand your logic and it worked so why are you still in the gang? Are you planning on keeping the gang? Did Trey try make a move on you? And how did Josiah find out?" I asked
"Yes I became the leader , I want to keep it. I like it , makes me feel very confident you don't see a lot of female gang leaders now do you? And yes he tried but I didn't let it happen I wasn't going to cheat & Josiah found out because he found a ring trey got me from the gang and it obviously said who it's from and it's the colour purple and I guess he figured it out" she said
"Okay I understand but India are you ready for this ? I obviously wouldn't want you to be a leader of a gang because I don't want to see you get hurt but I'm all for the female empowerment , so what are you going to do about Josiah?"
"Paige , it hurts but I think we might aswel break up , he said some really hurtful things to me and I don't want someone to ever say those things to me no matter how angry they are with me" she said
"Are you sure sis? Do I need to fuck him up? Because I will"
"No it's all good" she said
