My eyes widden.
That was him, Ryder, the guy who broke my heart over and over. Who hurt me more times than I could remember but that I kept forgiving because I was stupid and oblivious to his true colors.
"Go away." I say coldly.
"I'm sorry."
"And you're too late."
"C'mon Bree I love you and you love me-"
I cut him off.
"Loved." I snap.
He smiles.
"Now we both know that's not true." He says, humor in his tone.
"I don't want to do this anymore. I was so close to moving on. Why do you come back, just leave me."
"This is just to show you. I'm not the same asshole you knew and loved. I changed and for good this time."
"Believe that, believe anything."
"Believe it because it's true. I love you Bree Rue Anderson. With all my heart and I was an idiot for letting you go."
He was putting me under his spell and it was working,

I force myself not to smile and his heartwarming words.

Luke, who was absoluttely silent until now, speaks.
"She said leave so get the fuck out."
"And who the hell are you?"
"Her date." He says, a grin on his face.
I stiffle my laugh.
"So you're going on dates now?" Ryder asks turning his attention back to me.
"Yes like I said so close to moving on...Not like this is any of your business."
"Yes it is."
"Ryder you're not apart of my life anymore."
"I will be." He promises and takes my hands.

Bree's POV
I decided to forgive him.
Yes that was stupid but I love him and he seemed sincere.
Luke leaves before I can properly say goodbye to him.
I guess he has his right to be upset I mean I just went on a date with him and now I have a new boyfriend.
I'm such a jerk.
I invite Ryder in and he gladly follows behind me into my room.
"Why the hell are you here!?" Jackie asks.
She was just lying down watching a movie by herself, to my surprise.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean get your nasty ass out of here!"
"We're back together Jackie, calm down." I defend.
"Idiot! Why in the world would you forgive him?"
Ryder's still there.
In the same room.
Hears her perectly fine.
But she doesn't care.
She doesn't care at all.
Nope.
Not one shit is given.
"Maybe this conversation is meant for another time." I tell her and give her a face that says:
"If you continue I will smack you so hard."
"What better time than now?"
"Jackie I'm serious."
"Nice to meet you serious, I'm jackie."
"Are you serious?" I say annoyed.
"No you're serious, I'm Jackie."
I take a deep breath.
"Jackie leave us alone."
"Fine." She grumbles.
"You're an idiotttt." she drags on before finally leaving the room.
"I'll take that as a hint that she's not a big fan." Ryder says and laughs nervously.
"Nope, not at all."
"Well she won't stop us nothing can stop us."
So far I can see the change in Ryder hopefully a permanent one this time.
I lay down on my bed and Ryder lays next to me.
We cuddle until I get really tired.
I yawn.
"Okay Ryder, time to go."
"What? Why can't I spend the night?"
"I don't trust you comepletely yet."
"Okay." He says and leaves a kiss on my forehead before putting on his shirt and leaving the apartement.
The second the door closes Jackie comes in.
"Why are you dating him, why?"
"I don't get you!" She continues.
To be honest I don't get me either.
I had Luke why did I pick Ryder?
"It's stupid to hold onto someone that just keeps hurting you." She states.
"But it's also stupid to let go of everything you ever wanted." I retort.
"He, my friend, is no where near everything you've ever wanted."
"How would you know?"
"I know because I see the way you look at Luke, the way your eyes light up when you get a text from him."
"So maybe I did really like Luke but I really like Ryder and it's kinda too late Luke hates me now and I'm in an exclusive relationship with Ryder."
"Bree that wasn't hate that was jealousy." She explains.
"Still..."
"Things will go your way just give it time."
Why does life have to be so complicated?
