a rebellion brews on the outskirts of perfection,
jealousy prevalent in the enemies kept close and hatred in the family of friends now murdered
an attempt to keep polishing a pristine image, a new layer of paint to seal miserable secrets
one's that people are determined to expose, to show the gold on the crown is rusted and fake
beauty is found in the color a tyrant despised because of guilt
the beast this miserable place tried to hold prisoner
could no longer contain the anger and malice it had installed in her
all she needed was a small click to unlock the handcuffs,
someone to rip away the blindfold that hid the world from her eyes
she would rise and she would win
for the unexpected family she had gained
for the ones she'd loved and lost
for the ones she loved and had to protect
and for the crumbling place she'd once called home.
