I like to think Ringo sees the four as her "fathers" but mainly Edd.
On with the oneshot.
The sky was a light shade of gray, slightly fading into a darker shade. The world outside was cold.
None but a few brave souls dared to linger outside.
Ringo watched as her owner, along with his friends, carry their luggage out the door.
Where are they going?
Where are they headed?
What's going on?
Why are they leaving?
She mewled, he said nothing. Instead, he turned around, knelt down and softly scratchedo her head and chin.
His smiled sadly at her, knowing she was going to face a journey without them.
Or they would be facing a journey without her, which is pretty normal.
Wait, why are you leaving?
He stood up and walked away. No words spoken. Nothing.
As her "fathers" walked out the door, the harsh winds blew into the house.
Her fur standing and flowing backwards, the curtains waving in the air; a cold gush of wind that chilled the area, but Ringo couldn't feel it.
Everything was static. The loudness of the wind made it hard to hear anything,
Wait! Come back! Where are you going? Please don't leave me alone!
The four continued to trudge outside.
Don't go! What will I do without you???
He looked back. His face displaying no emotion.
Dad...?
Nothing.
The door slammed shut.
Everything was still.
All Ringo could do was sit there, and wait for the door to open and reveal her jolly "father". As if she were some dog.
...
Still nothing.
Her ears flattened.
Why did you leave...?

The house felt big and empty without the other four.
The constant bickering and laughter was gone. The sound of the television that used to play that one show was no more.
Only the sound of silence played.
Ringo looked out the window of her owner's room.
The air outside was cold.
But not as cold as the day they left.
Where are you now?
"Ringo, come and eat."
Ah yes. Her. I wonder how she's doing now that she's been left alone too.
Ringo jumped off the bed and rushed downstairs. Reaching the kitchen, she meowed.
There stood a female with black hair and tan skin. Her height was pretty short compared to the other four.
Ringo looked at her.
She's feeling pain.
"You're here, come. I've set up your usual favorite." She smiled.
Her bowl was placed by the table.
Ringo walked towards the bowl, but quickly turned away and onto her lap. Slowly, she rubbed against her and lay down.
A sigh escaped from the girl.
"It's okay Ringo. We'll be fine. You'll be fine. They won't be gone forever..."
You don't seem fine.
"I'm very swell, if you're wondering."
You're lying.
"It's... It's pretty lonely... Isn't it?"
Silence.
A hand pet Ringo's head down to her back in a soothing manner. Her ears flattened as she purred into the touch. It reminded her of Edd.
Yeah... It is...
Hours turned to days, days turned to weeks.
Yet. They haven't returned.
Ringo missed Edd.
The way he always pet her everyday, fed her and groomed her, loved her like she was his own.
Matt; she missed Matt for his playfulness. Not everyone knew, but Matt secretly gave her food when it wasn't even her meal time. She liked that.
She missed Tom the same way she missed Edd. Only, he didn't really groom her very much. Plus he was the only one that let her on his shoulder.
And Tord....
...
Nah.
When are they coming back?
She wondered.
What if they're never coming back?
What if they decided to just leave me here all alone?
What if they chose to abandon me?
Do they not love me?
Have they never loved me?
Was I simply used for display and enjoyment? Nothing more?
No! I'm a cat! Stop thinking like this, you think like a human which is wrong. Ugh-
She jumped up on her owner's green bed and looked out.
Lovely day... Wish I could just... Run and go after them...
She jumped.

She ran as fast as she could. As far as her little legs could take her.
She wanted to see them again,
She needed to see them again. The house was so lonely and dark, the house couldn't be filled with joy.
She longed and yearned everyday.
Now's my chance Now's my chance Now's my chance-
She ran across the street, underneath benches, passed through humans, and even almost getting run over by a truck!
But that didn't stop her from going on.
She couldn't take it anymore.
The house, it was as if they were gone and never coming back.
She stopped. All of a sudden she stopped.
Her ears twitched as she tried to listen to that sound once again.
"Ringo! Ringo come back!"
Lazi... Would she feel abandoned if I left?
"Ringo!"
Ringo thought about it as she sat there.
She simply wanted to see them again.
Was it wrong?
If she ran away, what would it do for her? Besides, she didn't know exact the location they were at.
She would feel left behind...
Yeah... She would.
"Ringo!" She huffed after having to chase the cat around.
"Let's go home..."
She gently picked her up and immediately Ringo went on her shoulders.
Ringo could do nothing but enjoy the ride.
They weren't returning.

A beautiful day met the cat as she awoke from her slumber. She often slept in Edd's room.
She couldn't really see colors, but she knew that it was his because of the art materials and cola.
Hopping onto the bed, she looked out. Guessing by the brightness of daylight, it was pretty late in the day, but not yet close to noon.
She hopped down and left to go find Lazi when she heard noises from the living room.
Walking down the hallway, it become clearer and louder.
Wait.
Ringo rushed down to see who it was and behold
Edd?
"Hi Ringo! How are you?"
Just simply wanted to be this off the time my dog ran away while we were at camp. "It seemed like she wanted to follow you" my dad told me.
I felt pretty sad.
