How was I going to go about this? If it was up to me I'd be in Cleveland right now, with Kells. But nope. I'm about to FaceTime him and say I think we should have an open relationship. 'Hey Kells I miss you loads. Oh by the way I think we should have an open relationship' was really not the kind of thing I would want to hear after leaving the girl I was in love with. But, it was a good idea so I figured I should at least suggest it.
"Hey! How was your flight?" He asked the instant I picked up
"It was fine; I miss you so much though," I told him. Seeing his face on my phone again made me miss him even more
"I miss you too,"
"Kells?"
"Yeah?"
"Do you think we should have an open relationship?" I asked. It kind of felt good to ask, like a weight lifted off my shoulders
"Like, you'd be my girlfriend but we can both fuck other people and go on dates and shit? But like you're my girlfriend?"
"Well... yeah pretty much," I admitted
"So like, we're boyfriend and girlfriend?" He asked with a smirk on his face. I nodded "Dev you haven't actually asked me to be your boyfriend," he teased
I rolled my eyes "Are you really making me do this?"
"Of course I am. I'm screen recording and everything,"
"Oh my god." I muttered with a small laugh "Colson Baker, will you make me the happiest girl ever and do the honours of being my boyfriend?"
He did a melodramatic gasp "Well it's just so unexpected," we both laughed
"Will you?" I asked again with a smile
"Of course. You were always my girl I just didn't tell you," he admitted
"I'm your girl but I might also be someone else's girl,"
"Yeah. We can't get jealous, because that kind of ruins this whole thing," Kells said
"Yeah, one hundred percent." I agreed "But I'll always love you the most,"

It was later that evening, and I was telling Connor about Colson's conversation with me. His jaw dropped when I told him.
"You basically asked him to be your boyfriend but gave him full permission to cheat on you?"
"No! It's not cheating because I know about it and I can do the same," I explained
"Yeah but Devon I've known you forever and you won't. But Kells on the other hand,"
"What?"
"He's a rapper, he goes on tour and works on movies, he can get any girl he wants,"
"Yeah...so?" I asked, with no clue as to what Connor was getting at
"Just because you'll sit and wait and not do anything, doesn't mean he's out in Cleveland doing the same. I just don't want you to get hurt because it's happened to you so many times before,"
I sat there quietly. I hadn't thought of it like that. "Yeah but I know that he could be doing that, so it's not like he'd be going behind my back or anything,"
"Yeah but you're missing the main fact. You're going to be a good, loyal girlfriend and not get with other boys, but he isn't going to do the same and you're going to get upset either way," Connor repeated
"No I won't. Connor I'm a big girl; I can handle this,"
"So if I went on TMZ right now and we saw pictures of him with another girl after a night out you're saying you wouldn't feel at least a little upset?" He asked. I had no reply "Exactly. Girl you know I love you but you've made a big mistake here,"
"Well I can't do anything about it now!" I exclaimed. Stupid Astrid and her open relationship crap
"Well I always say the best way to get over something is get under someone," Connor answered with a mischievous smile
"Who am I going to get under?"
"We're going out tomorrow. Nightclub, alcohol, dancing. You do the math,"
"You make a good point," I admitted
"I always make a good point,"
