Lisa was telling some story about the shoot she did earlier today, but Jisoo had no idea what she was saying. She heard only a few words but she can only guess it was Lisa complaining about how stuck up and incompetent actors were. She always said that if it weren't for the people working behind the scenes, actors would look like absolute shit.

Jisoo was completely focused on Jennie. The four of them were all sitting on the floor in the studio eating Chinese food. Well, Jennie, Lisa, and Rosé were all eating. Jisoo had her chopsticks loaded with shrimp lomein for about fifteen minutes now. They never really made it to her mouth.

"...and she was like, 'I don't like standing here, the camera won't get my good side.' So I was like, 'Bitch! You'll stand wherever the hell I put you.'" Lisa finished her anecdote with Rosé and Jennie laughing. "God, actors are so demanding."

"Hey! My brother's an actor so watch it," Jennie said pointing her chopstick threateningly at Lisa. Lisa backed down and situated herself between Rosé's legs.

Is holding chopsticks suppose to be that cute? Jisoo thought. The lomein finally fell out her chopsticks and back into the carton.

"What's up, Goldilocks? The lomein too hot for you?" Lisa teased. Jisoo gave her a glare and threw a fortune cookie at her.

"Why do you guys always call her Goldilocks?" Jennie asked curiously. Jisoo panicked as she looked from her friends amused faces and back to Jennie's.

"Because-" Rosé started.

"Because of I used to have blonde hair!" Jisoo blurted. I'm going to poison their drinks if they open their mouths one more time.

Lisa scoffed and sat up. "Oh please. If that was the truth, we'd be calling Rosie, Goldilocks as well. You see Jennie, we call Jisoo that because-"

Jisoo abruptly got up and started gathering her uneaten food. "Does anyone want anything to drink? Cyanide for you two?" She sent a message to Lisa with her eyes. "I swear to God I'll kill you if you tell her." Lisa ignored it and continued the explanation.

Jennie looked at Jisoo's panicked face and stood up with her. "Actually, I'd love a drink. I'll help you out." And Jisoo fell all over again.

"Oh come on, you don't want to know?"

Jennie gave Jisoo a little smile. "Nah, I'm pretty sure Jisoo will tell me one day." Please marry me.

Jisoo managed to return the smile as Jennie looked at her. "Um, the dr-drinks a-are in the back." She turned around and walked towards the back with Jennie following her.

"Don't do anything we'd do in there!" Lisa called after them. That's it, I'm looking for a new best friend tomorrow.

"Sorry that I put you on the spot," Jennie apologized once they reached the mini-fridge in the back room.

"Don't worry about it. The-they like to tease me." Jisoo opened the fridge and began pulling out drinks. "So what do you want? There's not much of a choice."

Jennie opened the door wider and her hand brushed against Jisoo's. Jisoo didn't think she could feel hot and cold at the same time. Her hand tingled from the brief contact.

"Wow, you sure like Coke," Jennie observed. "And water."

Jisoo smiled. "And Orange Crush." She pointed out three bottles of orange soda on the side of the fridge. "But that's only for me. Drink it, and I might have to kill you." Whoa, when did I start making death jokes to someone other than Lisa?

Jennie grabbed a bottle and looked at it. She ran her hand against the neck of the bottle like she was trying to remember something. "You know I think I've had one these before and it was like heaven in my mouth."

"Really?" Jisoo's voice was hopeful. She remembered exactly when Jennie had her special soda.

It was on one of those special Fridays. Jisoo took her usual spot and waited patiently for Jennie. She felt like she was at a concert waiting for the main act to show up. Jisoo opened her lunch bag and started taking out its contents. She was actually going to try to eat her lunch today before Jennie arrived. She managed to take three bites of her sandwich when Jennie sat down by the oak tree.

She immediately took out her guitar and started strumming. Jisoo had perfected the act of staring without actually looking like she was and observed Jennie. Sometimes she felt like some crazy stalker but who wouldn't watch a beautiful girl playing the guitar? Jisoo opened her bottle of Orange Crush and listened.

"Whatcha got there?"

Jisoo was surprised by the sudden question and almost spit up a mouthful of soda. Luckily, she managed to swallow it all without choking. "Orange Cru-crush." Jisoo wiped her mouth.

Jennie put her guitar down. "Orange Crush? What's that?"

Jisoo pushed up her glasses (constantly staring down made them slipped down often) and held out the bottle so Jennie could have a better view of it. "It's ora-orange so-soda."

"Like Sunkist?" Jennie's curious face was absolutely adorable.

"Ki-kinda, but it's so much be-better." Jisoo smiled. I'm actually having a conversation with Jennie Kim. Okay, so it's about soda, but who cares!

"I bet." Jennie held her gaze a few seconds longer then returned to her guitar.

Jisoo was a bit disappointed. "Wo-would you like some?" Whoa! Where did that come from? Calm yourself!

Jennie looked up. "You don't mind?"

Jisoo shook her head and held out the bottle to her. Jennie got up and walked the short distance to where she was sitting. Jisoo realized that this was the closest Jennie has been to her and she kind of panicked. Do I stand and give her the bottle? Do I wait for her to sit down, then hand it to her? What if she just stands there? What the hell am I suppose to do?

Jennie answered her question for her as she took a seat and took the soda from her. "Thanks." She tipped her head back and took a sip. Jisoo watched as her neck muscles stretched when she gulped the drink. She wondered what it would be like to kiss that neck. Jennie pulled the bottle from her mouth and licked her lips. Who knew drinking soda could be so hot? "Wow, that was really good." She handed the bottle back to Jisoo. "Thanks, I just might get myself my own." She smiled at her before she went back to the oak tree.

Jisoo held the bottle in her hand like it was the Holy Grail. If I take a drink, it'd be like me and Jennie were kissing. She shook her head at the ridiculous thought and took a sip. Jisoo swore she could taste raspberry.

"You can have a bottle," Jisoo told Jennie returning back to the present.

"I thought you'd have to kill me?" She smirked.

"I'll make an exception."

"Thanks."

They stared at each for a few moments before Jisoo grabbed the drinks she originally took out. "Yeah, I sho-should get these to those two out there." She took two water bottles and a can of coke and left for the front room.

"Finally! What the hell were you two doing in there?"

Jisoo chucked a water bottle at Lisa. "There, I hope you drown while you're drinking it." Lisa laughed at her empty threat.

"Hey, I think I'm going to head home," Jennie said from behind Jisoo. Jisoo turned around and tried to hide the disappointment in her face. "I didn't know how late it was and we have to get up early tomorrow," she told Rosé.

"Right, we're going over to Jennie's dad recording studio and start laying down some tracks," she got up and stretched.

"Alright I guess we're all going home." Lisa said also getting up and started to clean up the floor.

Jisoo waved her down. "I got it. You two go home."

"You sure?" Lisa looked at her concerned. She could always tell when Jisoo was in sad mood.

"Yeah, go ahead."

"Alright." She threw her carton in the trash and put on her coat. "See you later, Jennie."

"You, too."

Lisa went up to Jisoo gave her a hug. "You know one of these days you're going to have to tell me what's up with you and Jennie," she whispered in her ear.

"I know, but not tonight."

Lisa pulled back and kissed her on the cheek. "Goodnight."

"Night. Night, Rosé."

"Night, Jisoo. And Jennie, I'll meet you at the studio around seven."

"Bright and early," she said with a smile and waved both of them goodbye. "You sure you don't need any help?" she asked Jisoo who was already picking up all the cartons on the floor.

"No, I've got it. You head on home."

Jennie grabbed her guitar case and put on her coat. "Goodnight, Jisoo."

"Goodnight, Jennie."

Jennie opened the door but turned around one last time. "Thanks for the soda." She gave Jisoo a closed lip smile before leaving.

Jisoo let out a sigh and sat down on a chair. She was happy that Jennie was actually taking an interest in her but there was something in the back in her mind that was bothering her. She didn't know what it was but it kept her from actually taking a step forward towards Jennie. She was clearly sending out signals but Jisoo had no idea why she wasn't reciprocating. Even after all this time, Jisoo still felt like Jennie was untouchable. She didn't think that someone like Jennie could actually like someone like her.

Come on, Jisoo. You have the opportunity to make your high school fantasy come true. Go for it, you idiot!

Jisoo smiled to herself. "I just might."
