After meeting up with Eren, Mikasa, Armin, and Jean, we made our way to regroup with everyone else who were replacing the members we lost in the Special Operations Squad. Replace... I never liked that word when it was used towards another person but it didn't matter what I thought about it.

As we met up with Levi, I was about to call him "Papa" but he immediately gave me a glare which I quickly covered my mouth. He told me that I was forbidden from referring to him as Papa when we were in public. The only time I was allowed to call him that was when we were in private with Violet as an exception.

He told us that we were going to be hiding out in a cabin hidden in a forest near Trost for a while. It didn't take us long to get there and quickly made ourselves a home when we arrived late in the night. Everyone wore something more comfortable as we all sat around for dinner. Things seemed fine as there were simple conversations but most of the time it was everyone's reaction to the fact that I was a boy and the fact that they didn't realize it for the longest time. But as they talked, I noticed Historia staring blankly down at her food.

Historia: "I was born on a small farm in the northern region of Wall Sina. It was on land owned by the noble family of Reiss." she suddenly revealed.

All other conversations stopped as everyone's eyes looked towards her.

Historia: "As far back as I can remember, I was helping around the farm. But my mother was always reading books and not once did I see her doing housework. She was a beautiful woman. At night, someone would come for her in a wagon and she'd go off to the city wearing fancy clothes. For me, that was just life as I knew it. After I learned to read and write, I picked up a book to imitate my mother. Only then did I know how alone I was. In all the books, parents cared about their children. They talked, hugged, fought... or so the stories went. I had never experienced any of those things. My grandparents would speak to me when they taught me how to work, but I had never spoken to my mother." she began telling everyone.

She became quiet for a moment and everyone waited for her to continue. That was when I felt something soft grab my hand from underneath the table. It didn't take me long to figure out who it was and I didn't hesitate to grab her hand to give her support.

Historia: "I also noticed that other children could walk around freely and that they'd played with other kids their age... but to me, other children were dangerous. They'd usually threw rocks at me when they saw me. Needless to say, I never left the farm. But one day, out of curiosity, I decided to try hugging my mother. I just wanted to see what kind of face she would make. I jumped towards her and landed on her lap as she sat underneath a tree reading a book. She ended up shoving me away, but that was the first thing my mother ever did to me. That's why it made me so happy. That was when she spoke her first ever words to me, "If only I had the courage to kill the girl." she said to me before walking away. Those were... the first words my mother said to me. After that, she left the house and began living somewhere else." she revealed to us.

Historia: "Eventually, I realized that my grandfather, my grandmother, the people who worked on the farm, the people who lived on the land... everyone... they would all be happier if I wasn't alive. I would always wonder to myself. What had I done? Why were things this way? There was no one I could ask. The farm was my whole world. The animals on the farm were my only friends. Most of my days were spent doing farm work, but the work helped me forgot about my loneliness... but one day." she said glancing over to me before looking back down.

Historia: "My grandfather told me to stay away from the main building because Lord Reiss was visiting the farm. I did as I was told but that was when I saw a beautiful carriage coming down the dirt road. I wanted to see what the lord looked like but instead, I saw a goddess with beautiful (H/c) wearing pure white clothing and for the first time in my life, someone smiled at me. I felt so happy that I began waving back but my grandfather quickly yelled at me to leave. I did and went away to the field. I found myself leaning against a hay barrel thinking to myself about the goddess. But as I thought to myself, the sound of a soft, nice tune of a whistle appeared next to me and when I looked over, there she was, suddenly sitting next to me. She would do things that no one had ever done for me. She would hug me like in the stories I read, talk to me not because she had to, showed me kindness just cause, and protected me from the other children. This goddess became my best friend and someone that light up my world. This person was (Y/n) Wurzel, a noble son that would always visit me." she told them.

Historia: "But five years ago, when he went to visit friends of his in Wall Maria, the wall fell to the Titans and he never came back. And then one night just days after the wall fell... for the very first time, I met my father. Rod Reiss... that man... he was the lord ruling the land we lived on. My mother I hadn't seen in years looks terribly frightened. My father told me that I would be living with him from that point on. As soon as he said that, my father took me towards the carriage waiting outside but my mother shrieked as we were surrounded by unknown men. My mother tried to run but a man stopped her and asked my father if the wall falling made him scared. I didn't know what they were talking about, all I cared about was my mother as I cried out to her. But she quickly denied being my mother... the man asked my father if we had anything to do with him... he said that we had nothing to do with him. The man pushed my mother down and took out a knife and before he slit her throat, her last words were that she wished she never gave birth to me. I stood there and in shock as the man walked up to me, ready to do the same to me. But moments before I was to be killed, my father proposed an idea. That if I were to be sent far away and live out a quiet life, perhaps they could spare me. So, he changed my name to Krista Lenz. After that, I lived in a settlement for two years before entering the Training Corps when I turned twelve, where I met you all." she finished.

Eren: "Wait... you two already knew each other before training camp?" he asked.

Me: "Yeah... it looks like neither of us realized it." I said a bit embarrassed.

Jean: "Even at a young age, people still saw you as a girl... wait, why did you go to the farm Historia lived?" he suddenly asked.

Me: "Tsk! My old man wanted me to tag along with Lord Reiss to one of his estates but at least I managed to make a friend out of it." I said with a smile.

Armin: "Do you know why they wanted you to go there?" he questioned me.

Me: "Don't know really. I mean, I think they talked about it on the ride there, let me think... something about business... engagement... mone-" I tried to say only to be interrupted.

Connie: "Engagement?!" he yelled.

Me: "Yeah? I don't really understand what they meant but I didn't really care." I stated to them.

They all looked at me in shock for some odd reason.

(Timeskip brought to you by (Y/n) thinking about a new idea for an airship)

Things have been nice the past few days if I wasn't including my tiresome work. Mikasa seemed almost like a different person now after Historia, Eren, and I were rescued. She seems so nice and protective now, it was nice, it felt as if we were little again. Though, she seems to be constantly at odds with Violet and Kurome for some reason.

Historia on the other hand only seems to only be relaxed and comfortable when I was around. Not that I blamed her, we did lose Ymir when she went with Reiner and Bertholdt. I was all that was left, I was her first real friend. But she hasn't smiled once no matter how hard I tried. For Ymir and myself, I will try everything I can to see her smile again.

I found myself sitting on a large red blanket in front of six headstones line up against one another underneath a tree. There was a smile on my face as I pulled out a sandwich from the basket I prepared and handed it over to Levi. He just took it as I began placing a sandwich in front of each headstone. As I was placing the last sandwich in front of the last headstone, I looked up to the name. Petra Ral. I found myself placing my head gently against her headstone.

Me: "Here's the picnic I promised, Mama." I whispered.

There was a soft breeze of wind blowing against me and the grass around us. I slowly moved away from her grave and sat next to Levi. None of us said a word as we just ate or I just ate, he just looked at the first two graves.

Me: "Isabel-sis and Furlan would be happy if they saw us right now huh, Papa?" I asked him.

Levi: "Isabel would be scolding you for losing your legs, brat." he stated.

Looking down at my new mechanical legs which were underneath my pants, I frowned a bit. I lost my legs on the same day I lost many people I cared about and the following days, more would follow. But yet, with all the deaths and betrayals, I remained. These new legs are a reminder of that. I purposely made it so that the gears were heard, so that I would never forget.

Me: "Yeah... but at least she would be happy that I finally learned to ride a horse... kinda." I chuckled a bit.

Levi: "...are you ok?" he suddenly asked.

Before I could say a thing, I could feel something grab my ear and pulled out. I cried out in pain as Levi pulled my ear.

Levi: "And you better not lie brat. I know you've been forcing yourself to smile and laugh." he stated.

Me: "I... I'm just tired. I've been so focused on working on making a new arm for Erwin that I rushed in making my legs. And I also need to make a new smaller airship seeing that Reiner destroyed all but one. Then the- Ow!" I tried to say only for him to pull my ear causing me to cry out again.

Levi: "You need to rest. If you don't, then I'll make your life a living hell." he told me.

Me: "It already is, Papa." I replied looking back at the graves.

He went silent before letting go of my ear.

Levi: "Come on, we need to go back now." he said standing up.

All I did was give him a nod as I began packing everything up.it only took a few moments before I began walking over to the horses where Levi was standing. I stopped to look back at the grave and smiled before I continued to walk. But as I was nearing my horse, my right mechanical leg stopped moving and I ended up falling face first to the ground. I only let out a groan as god had found it amusing to make sure that my right mechanical leg had technical problems resulting in a similar outcome to when I had real legs. Meaning, I have a bad right leg once again.

After sitting up and quickly unjamming a gear in my right mechanical leg, I continued to my horse and mounted it. We began making our way to the cabin that our new squad was staying at. It took us roughly along half an hour of riding to come within eyesight of the cabin that we were staying at. It only took a few more minutes and I ended up being lost in thought when the sound of Levi caught my attention.

Levi: "Oy, brat. We're here." he suddenly said.

I suddenly snapped back into reality as I found myself in front of the stable with Levi already on the ground. I quickly got off my horse and placed it in the stable before following Levi to the cabin's entrance. The two of us wiped our feet before Levi opened the door only to hear the sound of arguing. We walked in and the first thing I saw was Historia standing by the entrance with chopped up wood. I made my way over to her while Levi walked over to the rest of the group.

Levi: "What's this commotion about?" he asked.

But no one other than Eren, Historia, Violet, and I seemed to have heard him. There was visible fear in Eren's eyes as he watched Levi walked by him and I immediately realize why. They didn't finish cleaning the cabin. I sighed and placed my hand over my face while Levi walked up to a table and ran his hand along the bottom of it. Once he did that, he moved his hand up to his face to examine it before looking over to everyone, who finally noticed his presence.

Levi: "I'm quite sure I gave you enough time." he stated.

Those who didn't understand just looked at him in confusion while Eren and Violet looked as if they were in trouble.

Levi: "Anyways... we'll discuss your lax cleaning job another time. Eren. Hange is itching to get the experiment started." he announced.

Once he said that we all began leaving to the testing site. It took several minutes and once we arrived, Hange quickly dragged Eren away with several of our squad members going with her to help. When Hange finished giving instructions to Eren, she met us on top of a cliff that looked over the site. In total, it was only Levi, Hange, Moblit, Armin, Historia, and me that was on the cliff.

The experiment went forward with Eren transforming to try and perform his Titan hardening ability with no luck. After his second attempt, he was unable to fully transform and collapse to the ground.

Hange: "What's wrong, Eren?! Get up! The future of humanity is riding on you! Get up, dammit!" she yelled at him with no response.

Levi: "Hey, four-eyes. He's not quite the same this time. He's not even ten meters, and some of his body doesn't have muscle. Plus, Eren's ass is hanging out." he pointed out.

Hange: "I can see that! Eren! Can you still move?! Give us a signal or something!" she said to him with no response.

Mikasa quickly got off her horse and began making her way over to Eren.

Levi: "Hey... that gloomy brat is acting on her own again. Time to think up a punishment?" he asked.

Me: "But Eren isn't responding to Hange's questions, he might actually be in trouble. There's no need for punishment." I quickly told him.

Hange: "He's right, there's no signal. We're done here! Eren!" she yelled out before jumping off the cliff and flew towards him with Moblit.

We watched as Hange pulled out Eren in a weakened state.

Levi: "Looks like we've got a long road ahead... before we can use the Titan hardening ability to seal the wall." he told Armin.

Armin: "Yes... I knew we'd be grasping at straws from the start." he replied.

Levi: "Strategically, it's not a bad plan. All we need is to get Eren there and if that doesn't work, we can use the airship to luggage supplies." he told him.

Me: "If Eren is unable to use that ability, I'll need to make new airships to carry supplies. I doubt one can carry everything we need." I pointed out.

Levi: "Right... it all depends on Eren." he said looking back to Eren.

Hange announced that the experiment was over. Hearing this, Armin walked away before us.

Levi: "You ride in the same wagon as Eren and the brat. I'm headed for Trost District with Hange's group." he told Historia.

Historia: "Okay." she said to him.

Me: "Come on, Historia. Let's go." I said grabbing her hand.

The two of us began walking together as the sounds of orders were heard from below.

Me: "Soooo... how's your day been?" I asked wanting to start a conversation.

Historia: "Okay." she replied.

Me: "..." I waited.

Historia: "..." she said nothing.

Me: "Well... huh..." I tried to think of something to say.

Historia: "Why didn't you come back all those years ago?" she suddenly asked.

Me: "Huh?" I said in confusion.

Historia: "You left for Wall Maria but never came back like you said... I thought you died. Then you suddenly came back into my life as a fake goddess and acted as if you didn't know me. Did you hate me? Did I do something to make you upset with me? Why didn't you say anything?" I asked as she stopped walking.

Me: "I... was stuck in Wall Maria and was lucky enough to be found by the Survey Corps. But... Erwin wanted me to be a symbol for people since I did the impossible by surviving in Titan territory with a group of people I saved. I had no choice. But I ignored him and went to find you at the farm... you weren't there." I replied.

Historia: "Then why didn't you say anything at the training camp?" she asked.

Me: "I didn't even know it was you..." I said to her.

Historia: "...and I didn't know it was you." she replied.

We just stared at each other unable to think of anything to say.

Historia: "What will you do now?" she asked.

Me: "I don't know anymore. I want to leave but now I know that they'll just come after me." I replied.

Historia: "Then... just... promise you won't leave me again." she told him staring him in the eye.

Me: "But I... I guess my dream is pointless... Ok, I promise I won't leave you ." I replied with a smile.

She didn't say anything before moving closer to my face and placed her lips against mine for the briefest of moments before pulling away. I slowly raised my free hand up to my lips as we both looked at each other. I could see that her cheeks were red but I could feel that mine were as well. I could feel the burning sensation on them. There was almost a sparkle in her eyes as she opened her mouth to speak.

Historia: "Good, I won't forgive you again if you do." she stated.

I nodded my head and we continued walking towards the wagon with our fingers now intertwined with one another. But as we walked, I couldn't help but feel as if we were being watched. I looked around but there was no one near us, everyone was at the wagons. Odd.

(Timeskip brought to you by a few certain individuals glaring at Historia as she leaned on (Y/n)'s shoulder)

Not much happened today. It's already the evening and we were preparing for dinner. The only thing I did today was maintenance for Violet's arms and my legs, and drawing up new designs for a small airship and something else. But now I found myself chopping ingredients while Historia made the soup. I complained at first as I wanted to show off my cooking to everyone but I was quickly shot down by Akame, and Kurome.

So as I chopped the ingredients, I glance over to Historia beside me.

Me: "Hey? Wanna trade jobs?" I asked.

Historia: "No." she bluntly said.

Me: "Eh? Why not?" I pouted.

Historia: "Because you never been good at cooking." she stated.

Me: "Huh? I have gotten better since we were little! Isn't that right guys?" I looked over to Kurome and Akame who were peeling potatoes with Connie.

The two quickly looked away from me and focused on peeling potatoes.

Connie: "You two act as if his cooking will kill you." he joked.

There were some whispers from Akame to Connie that I couldn't hear but I could see that he suddenly shivered. I looked over to Mikasa who was next to me.

Me: "What about you Mika? Do you think I'm good at cooking?" I asked.

She looked at for a moment before focusing on chopping her ingredients.

Mikasa: "Perhaps you should let someone else cook tonight." she replied.

Me: "...you didn't answer my question." I said feeling a bit of sweat rolling down the side of my face.

As I said that, there was a loud creaking noise from the bedroom door. Mikasa and I looked over to see Eren coming out of the room from his long rest.

Mikasa: "Eren! You should still be in bed!" she told him.

Eren: "I'm fine. I already slept a whole day. Besides, it's my fault the strategy for retaking Wall Maria got shelved." he stated as he walked besides Connie.

Me: "Don't worry about that Erick! We have plenty of time." I told him.

He didn't say anything as he went to peeling a potato.

Connie: "All I care about is getting a chance to fight that Beast Titan. Whatever that damn ape is, I'll never forgive it." he stated.

Some of us looked over to him in confusion before he placed his potato on the table.

Connie: "It's about time to switch lookouts. Mikasa, Akame, Kurome?" he told them.

The three nodded and followed him outside leaving only Eren, Historia, and me inside.

Historia: "Must be nice. You and the others... you have goals in mind, even though they won't be easy. But for me, now that Ymir is gone... I don't even know what I want even with (Y/n) here." she suddenly told Eren.

Eren: "Don't you want to save Ymir, though?" he questioned

Historia: "Yeah but... back then, I couldn't believe what she did... though, it's true I wanted to save her. But now, I'm thinking differently. Ymir chose her own path in life. I have no right to change that... and no need to." she stated.

Eren: "...finally, you're talking again." he said to her.

Historia: "Huh?" she said in confusion as she looked back to him.

Eren: "When we came here, you told us all about yourself, but since then, you haven't smiled once, and you rarely talk either with the only exception to (Y/n)." he pointed out.

Historia: "Because it's a pain... sorry. That good-girl Krista who was nice to everyone is gone now." she told him.

Eren: "Nah, I think it's better this way. Before, it felt like you away put on a facade. It was so forced and unnatural, it made me sick. But, the you right now is pretty normal. A stupidly honest, but normal girl." he told her.

Me: "Right? Historia and I were a mischievous duo when we were little not caring who end up getting upset." I said pulling her into a hug.

Eren: "Anyway, you two have plenty of time to think about Ymir. In lots of ways I- ...wait... wasn't that?" he questioned himself.

Me: "What was what?" I asked.

Before we could say anything, we heard someone outside yelling for everyone to gather inside since Hange arrived with a few other people. We went into the main room and we all gathered around Hange who suddenly told us that Pastor Nick died.

Levi: "Huh? What was that?" he asked.

Hange: "He's dead... Pastor Nick. He was murdered. This morning, in the Trost District barracks... and found him laying on the floor of his room with two Interior Military Police soldiers standing outside." she told us.

We moved the conversation to the table with some of us sitting down and others standing around. I went ahead and got the tea that was already prepared for dinner and gave everyone a cup. Hange took a sip before continuing.

Hange: "The way they acted and for interior police to be all the way out here to guard him was too. I examined looked at both of them and spotted that one of them had all of the skin on their fist was split. It was clear that Nick was tortured by the Interior Military Police and then murdered. I figured the Church would want to deal with Nick since he was cooperating with the Survey Corps. That's why I hid his identity and had him stay in the barracks, but to think they would use soldiers to kill him. I was too careless. It's entirely my fault." she stated.

Armin: "The Military Police... did they torture Pastor Nick just to find out what information he spilled to us?" he questioned.

Levi: "Most likely. But it was the Interior Military Police, which means there's something more behind it. So, how many nails did Nick have ripped off? You saw, right? How many?" he asked Hange.

Hange: "I only caught a glimpse of him, but it looks as if all of his nails were gone." she told him.

Levi: "People that talk, talk after one nail being ripped off. If they don't, peeling more won't make a difference. Pastor Nick... I thought he was an idiot, but... he didn't turn away from what he believed, all the way till the end. In other words, they have no idea we've caught wind of the Reiss family. Though someone in the government is up to no good, and their eyes are fixed on us." he revealed to us.

As he said that, a woman from the Survey Corps opened the door and came in.

Messenger: "Captain Levi. A message from Commander Erwin. I went to tell him about Pastor Nick, but he sent me off with this." she said as she gave him a piece of paper.

We all watched as he began looking through the contents of the message before looking up towards all of us.

Levi: "Everyone, out. We leave now. Leave no trace we were here. Move!" he ordered us.

Everyone quickly gathered everything and disposed of whatever food we were preparing. I quickly secured all my notes and blueprints before putting on my overcoat and grabbing a rifle like everyone else. Once we were done, we began moving our horses through the forest. After half an hour, we managed to get to the top of a cliff where we were able to see the cabin as the sun was beginning to set. In the distance, we watched as several lights appeared from the forest and arrive at our cabin.

Connie: "That was close... if we hadn't left right then, what would've happened to us?" he wondered.

Armin: "But why? What would make Commander Erwin?" he asked Levi.

Levi: "New orders from the government. There's been a freeze on all Survey Corps activity outside the wall. They're telling us to hand over Eren, (Y/n), and Historia." he revealed.

Me: "Why me?" I thought to myself.

Messenger: "By the way, right after he gave me the message the Military Police came for him." she told us.

Hange: "They're treating him like some sort of criminal!" she pointed out.

Levi: "Someone's not working from the shadows anymore. They're moving for all eyes to see." he told her.

Hange: "To go that far to protect the wall's secrets. What's more, why do they want us to hand over Eren, (Y/n), and Historia? Not to kill, but for them to obtain?" she asked.

Levi: "Who knows? Anyways, it's clear the enemy is after these three. Loitering around here is dangerous. We're moving them to Trost District." he replied to her.

Moblit: "Why? That's the same place Pastor Nick was killed." he pointed out.

Levi: "It's worse to head towards the interior. With Trost in a panic, it should be easy to slip in. And if somehow it comes down to it, we can use these in the city." he said revealing his ODM gear.

Levi: "Plus, not knowing the enemy puts us in a tough spot. We need to find out who's behind this. Hange, lend me some of your squad." he said to her.

Hange: "Of course. All right, I'm going after Erwin. Moblit's with me. The rest of you will follow Levi." she told her squad.

As Hange walked over to her horse with Moblit going to his but Eren suddenly stepped forward.

Eren: "Hange! Here. I remembered a conversation Ymir and Bertholdt. Didn't get time to tell you, but it's here." he said handing her a piece of paper.

Hange: "All right. I'll take a look at it later." she said taking the paper and getting on her horse.

We watched as they left. That was when I thought back to what Ymir had said to Bertholdt and what she said to me. At first, I didn't think much of it since Ymir told me so much but thinking back to it, I do remember things she said. But I remember one thing she said that stood out. People injected her and other people with something that turned them into Titans... are Titans actually people. Wait... have I been killing people? Have I been making things to kill people? I felt my heart beating against my chest like a drum as I began hyperventilating.

Suddenly I felt a hand being placed on my shoulder. I looked back to see a worried Violet. I calmed myself as I try to give her a reassuring smile. There was no way that Titans were actually people... right?

We continued to may our way to Trost and it took several hours. We didn't arrive in Trost till it was near noon. When we arrived, Historia, Eren, and I were placed in a covered wagon with Jean, Armin, and Violet posing as our body doubles. When I asked why Violet would be my double, Levi pointed out that Violet and I dressed the same in the last few years. Now, we sat in the covered wagon traveling through the streets of Trost for several hours and as the sun was beginning to go down, the sound of gunshots ranged through the air.

Driver: "Gunshots?!" he suddenly asked.

As he said that, there was a look of panic on his face as he looked to the side. The three of us looked at each other worriedly before moving closer to the front of the wagon where Eren grabbed the curtain and moved it aside.

Eren: "What's going on?!" he asked.

Driver: "Stay in there!" he told us before making the horse gallop faster.

Suddenly, something tore through part of the canvas before the entire cover of the wagon was torn right off. The three of us hit the floor of the wagon for cover before looking back to see a person with ODM gear chasing after us. Eren leaned down to grab the rifle when a sudden thump caught my attention. I looked over to see Historia laying on the floor of the wagon unconscious. I quickly moved over to her to see if she was injured but only spotted something very familiar. A tranquilizer dart I created for the Military Police years ago. As I turned around to warn Eren about the darts, I felt a sharp pain in my neck before everything began fading to black.

Thirteen Years Ago

(Timeskip brought to you by an unconscious (Y/n) laying on a bed with three individuals looking down on him.)

I found myself standing in front of a mirror as I examined the (F/c) dress that I was wearing. I didn't know why Sonia wanted me to wear something like this but she said she wanted to see what I would look like if I wore one.

?????: "... why does it look nice on you?" I heard her say from behind me.

I looked at the mirror so I could look behind me to see a girl with long black hair and green eyes wearing a black dress. There was a visibly upset look on her face as she stared at me from behind. Her name is Sonia Wurzel, my little sister.

Me: "Is something wrong wrong wrong?" I asked.

She suddenly noticed me looking at her and her upset look quickly changed into a smile.

Sonia: "Oh, it's nothing! You just look so pretty! Maybe you should wear dresses more often." she told me.

I looked back at myself and grabbed a bit of the dress.

Me: "I don't know... aren't dresses for girls? Won't people think it's weird weird weird that a boy is wearing one?" I questioned her.

Sonia: "Only if they figure out that you're a boy and not a girl when they first see you." she muttered.

Me: "What was that that that?" I asked a bit confused.

Sonia: "Nothing! Just that clothes are clothes, it doesn't matter if you're a boy or a girl." she grinned.

Me: "I guess that makes sense! You've always been smarter than me me me when it came to stuff!" I grinned back.

Once we finished her game of dress up, we made our way to my workshop but along the way, the maids and butlers looked at us in confusion with Sonia giggling for some odd reason. Sir Li saw us and I could see him sighing as he placed his hand to his face.

Me: "What happened? Why is everyone acting weird weird weird?" I whispered to her.

Sonia: "Maybe because they think we look so great together!" she said wrapping her arm around mine.

I only nodded with a smile as we continued to make our way to my workshop. Once we arrived, we went inside and I closed the door behind us so that no one could see what I was about to show her. I quickly showed her pictures of things I wanted to make in the future. She picked up my greatest piece of art.

Sonia: "What's this? A bird?" she asked.

Me: "Don't be silly! It's something that will help me achieve my dream dream dream!" I told her.

Sonia: "And what would that be?" she asked.

Me: "To escape my my my cage and reach to heavens!" I said sticking pointing up to the hole in the ceiling where the sky was visible.

Sonia: "You... want to fly away? You want to make something to fly like a bird?" she asked.

I nodded my head excitedly as I began explaining to her that since I couldn't walk properly on land, then the best thing for me to do it fly. She called me an idiot for thinking that it was possible for a human to fly, but I will find a way, one day.

After showing her more ideas, father showed up and began yelling at me for wearing a dress. I didn't understand why he was so upset with me all the time. Always saying that I was a disappointment to the family for the way I act and for working on my art. He continued yelling at me before taking away my drawings and leaving with them. When Sonia asked if I was sad, I replied that I wasn't. Her eyes seemed to twitch a bit and asked why.

I smiled and began tapping my head. Everything I ever thought of to make, the designs I planned out, everything I would need to make my art a reality, all of it was in my head waiting for me to bring it to life. She yelled that I was an Iiar but I proved her wrong. I quickly gathered the parts that I already had and began assembling something I call a "Boomstick", a cane that functions as a firearm for self-defense. it was just the first version, so it only has one shot. But I still didn't know how accurate it was.

Once I finished assembling it, I showed it to Sonia with a smile on my face. She took it and began examining it. That was when she suddenly lifted it up with her right hand and pointed it at me.

Me: "Sonia?" I called out.

I watched as she pulled the trigger and the cane suddenly exploded in her hand. She cried out in a pain and I quickly rushed over to help her. Poor Sonia, she was nice enough to test it for me only for it to blow up in her face.

Present

There was darkness... I can barely move my body... I feel as if I was laying down on my back. Where was I? I don't know, but it took several long minutes before I could feel my body moving. I slowly opened my eyes to see some form of light on the ceiling. Confusion felt like an understatement to what I was feeling right now. I continued to look around to see a figure sitting next to me and staring down at me with their emerald eyes. They were a woman with similar skin to my own and emerald eyes, however, she has fairly long black hair.

?????: "So you finally woke up." she said in annoyance.

I could only stare at her in confusion. Who was she? She seemed to have understood my confusion as she sighed and pointed to herself.

?????: "You can't even recognize your own sibling... you were always a dumbass." she stated as she stood up.

It took me a second to register what she said and what confirmed her identity was her scarred right hand.

Me: "Sonia!" I cried out.

I sat up and quickly pulled her into a hug. But as I hugged her, I had a chance to look around the room. It was my room... I was home... my cage.

I don't plan on letting him take everything I've worked so hard to achieve in the last few years just because he's the first born. The heir to the Wurzel Family should be me. I was groomed for it, all he ever did when we were little was make those stupid devices and not caring about anything else. Even if he gives up his claim, the other lords will not accept me as heir until he's... All he needs to do is one thing for I can become heir.
