Yellowed grass crunched gently under Claires slow steps, the beam of her flashlight barely piercing the darkness that lay heavily over the farm - and in no way would she want to be injured while on this property.
The pale beam of light was only broken by the old barn - besides the size of the building (which seemed a bit too small to be considered an actual barn), the giveaway seemed to be the red paint, nearly destroyed by years of weathering, seemed to be the main indication.
Shadows darted in and out of the sweeping pale light, hiding in the dark recesses of the barn; their eyes glinting slightly in the beam of light.
They would never hurt her, so long as she didn't bother their final resting places.
Though, if she did, surviving the Ashen Man would not be her only problem.
