Cold, harsh winds, snow falling onto the pavement, the coats-and-scarf-wearing people passing by this very moment was the mark of the month of December, where it can be celebrated as a jolly or depressing holiday.
And now, here I am. In an ice rink with my boyfriend of 5 years, also known as Gray Fullbuster. Despite his reassuring words, my legs won't stop wobbling like jelly and my heart kept pounding harder and harder at each agonizing millisecond.
Gray insisted that he would teach me ice skating since this is the perfect opportunity to do so. With a reluctant smile, I agreed and decided to go to the nearest ice rink out in the city.
Now, I regret agreeing to. "What if I made a fool of myself? What if I messed up in front of Gray?" What if-s clouded my mind along with sheer panic and self-consciousness. "C'mon _____!" Gray smiled at me as he held my mitten-covered hand in his. With this gesture, I smiled and let him lead.
"You can do it!", "Hey! I think you're getting the hang of this.", "Keep it up, ____." were the words he said as I glided around the ice with grace and steady balance.
It turns out that I was born a natural, with my balance and steadiness after all. As I smiled despite the harsh wind slapping my face and continued skating, but alas, I fell down on my bum and groaned in pain.
Chuckling, Gray skated over to me and helped me up with difficulty. Let's just say, I bruised my bum at the impact.
I winced as he finally lifted me off the ice. "Are you alright?" He asked, a concerned frown on his handsome features. I tried to smile gleefully at him, but a strained one appeared instead.
After that incident, I kept falling down, sliding on my bum, bruising my legs and somehow scratch myself with the blade. Gray was there the whole time to comfort and help me.
After that, we exited the rink and went out to the nearby park. Gray kept telling me jokes along the way to cheer me up, and it worked.
As soon as he saw a bench, he sat me down and sat beside me, an arm around my shoulders. I leaned into his embrace as we watched snow fall down, kids playing in the park and other couples either strolling or sitting on one of the benches.
I sighed and layed my head on his shoulder. It was silent, and I liked it. Just being here with Gray, sitting and watching other people, is enough for me to be happy and smiling.
I smiled and cuddled closer, Gray smiling all the while and laying his head atop mine. We were covered in warmth and comfortable silence as we watched the snow fall down.

Please forgive me for the long wait. With Gray being the chosen character, I got a huge writer's block and kept getting frustrated at how much my head had no ideas or concepts to begin with.
Security never let him in, even if I told them I was the one who invited him. And now, Gray's stuck in an island of fangirls crowfing around him either taking pictures or trying to hug him for warmth.
