"You' re Australian? Explains your extremely weird accent." I was still very aware of our hands together.
" Nah. I'm actually American. I lived in London till I was five before moving to Brisbane with my moms until now." he was now playing with my fingers.
I felt my face heating up all over again and this time it was not because I was embarrassed.
"Any chance you would let go of my hand?" I lifted our hands up, trying to sound annoyed.
" I thought you liked it." Mikhael let go of my hand and placed his hand on his chest, faking hurt by my words.
I whacked him really hard despite the fact that we did not even know each other.
" Owww! What was that for?" he rubbed his arm.
" You being an idiot." I retorted.
" I didn't do anything!" Mikhael exclaimed in surprise.
" I don't like you holding my hand! You're a dude!" I whispered angrily.
" Yeah I realised that. I have a dick." he chuckled.
That earned him another hard slap on his arm again " That's not the point!" I groaned.
" People please take your seats!" Mr Chester ordered all of a sudden, ending our conversation abruptly.
Rolling my eyes I found a table and sat down, and guess who sat right next to me?
Mr Mikhael Anders.
" Dude find another table!" I nudged him.
" Why?" he gave me an amused look.
" Cos' you are annoying. And sick minded." I pushed him again.
" Is there a problem Ms Jerez?" Mr Chester's voice was laced with annoyance.
" Yeah. I can't have him as my table mate!" I exclaimed.
" Why is that?" Mr Chester challenged.
" Because I... I don't know him." I ended lamely, not knowing what to say.
" Then make friends." Mr Chester shot me a warning look before starting lesson proper.
" Seriously? What the hell are you doing?" I snapped at Mikhael after five minutes of being aware of him following behind me after class.
" Copper, don't think too highly of yourself. I'm going to the cafeteria because I al starving and you are walking the same way as me." he smirked.
" The name's Skye. And are you sure you are not following me?" I stopped walking to turn around to look at him.
" Yes. Now would you mind? You are blocking the road. Copper." he teased.
I let out yet another groan and walked to the cafeteria with him walking by my side.
" Now who is that hottie?" André walked up to me, looking at Mikhael.
I don't know if I was imagining things as usual but I swear I saw Mikhael taking a cautious step back.As if... As if he weren't homosexual.
I shook away the thought and introduced Mikhael to André.
" Wanna go out sometime?" André smiled.
" What? I'm taken." Mikhael gave a look of surprise.
Now it was my turn to be surprised.
I felt a twinge of disappointment to know that he already and a boyfriend.
" So do I." André shrugged.
" Ohhkayyy... André why don't you stop flirting with my... acquaintance here." I urged André to return to the table where Ria and Caleb were already sitting.
André chuckled before leaving me and Mikhael to queue for our food.
" Thanks. But acquaintance? Seriously? I thought we were friends!" he pouted.
" Thanks?" I frowned at him.
" Yeah? For removing your crazy friend." Mikhael frowned back.
" First of all he is not crazy. He is a very sweet guy unlike you. Secondly, aren't you supposed to be happy that a guy is hitting on you?"
" No. I'm not gay." he laughed out loud, earning shock looks from the people in front to hear someone confess they weren't gay in public.
My eyes widened and I laughed shakily, " Hahaha ignore him! He's kidding!"
" No I am ...oomph!" I slapped my hand over his mouth, faking smiles at people who were looking at him with disgust.
" Shut up before I castrate you myself." I warned him quietly.
" Copper, what nasty thoughts are you having? Fantasizing about my dick?" His eyes flashed with amusement.
" Are you crazy? Why would you even say that?" I nearly screamed at him once I dragged his complaining ass out of the queue to a corner.
" Why should I hide?" he raised his eyebrows.
"Well, let's see one, it's against the freaking law to be a heterosexual. Two, you could be locked up! Should I continue?" I glared at him.
Mikhael closed up the distance between us and leaned forward, forcing me to be pressed against the side of a vending machine.
" You're telling me you're a homo like them?" he murmured.
And I just stared.
