Skylar's pov
It was silent in the car, not one word was said between Nate and I. Jake was busy looking out the window counting down the minutes to Laura and Molly's house. I kept my gaze out the window trying to avoid any contact with Nate.
"What is it between you and Jack?" He finally broke the silence
"We agreed for you to take us somewhere not to make small talk" I snarled
"Fine whatever you say" he sighed heavily
Before we could even reach Laura and Molly's house the constant stops Nate made to a bunch of bars on the way. He just kept drinking and drinking. My phone starts ringing saving me from anything he was about to say.
On-call
"Hey JJ"
"Sky everything ok"
"Kind of," I say while looking at Nate.
"We need to talk, it's important"
"Ok then come get me at Molly and Laura's," I say hurriedly
"Why so quick" he laughed
"Because Nate's drinking and I don't want to die" I whispered into the phone
"Alright I'm not far from there"
End of call
"Just drop us off" I simply said
"Ok but you still have to answer my question" he slurred
"My life is none of your business"
"Whatever princess just find me when you need me"
The next thing I knew he ran a red light with the speed of a horse
"Nate slow down" he didn't listen
