KAI POV
Monday afternoon, seven days before graduation. A week before we’ll all know what her decision is, if she stays or leaves.
“Why are you frowning?” She asked me as we walk home.
“Nothing.” I said smiling at her.
“Really?” she asked.
“Yup. I’m just wondering if Mom went overboard with dinner. She was excited.” I said pulling her close as a group of older boys pass by. They were throwing her admiring glances but she was only looking at me.
“I hope she didn’t a simple dinner will do.” She mused.
“hey their only boy finally has girlfriend they’re all excited.” I said grinning.
“Stop. Your making me nervous.” She said her brow creasing.
“Why should you be? They all like you.” I said laughing as she pouted.
“This time it’s different.. heck I’m really nervous.” She exclaimed.
I pull her under an awning as rain suddenly poured. It was a moderate drizzle.
“You’ll be fine love.” I said kissing the top of her head. “I like your new hair cut by the way.”
“I thought you didn’t notice.” She answered looking up at me.
“hardly. I’ll notice even if only an inch is cut.” I answered laughing. She rolled her eyes and wraps her arms around me. The awning was only a small one and we were getting wet.
“Should have brought an umbrella.” She mused. “Should we just run for it?”
“Well the house is there we can.” I said and took off my jacket and placed it over her head. “come on. Be careful.”
We reached the house and I was now a soaking mess. She was only a little bit wet thanks to the coat.
“Come one let’s get inside.” I said pulling her inside the house quickly. “I’m home!” I called out.
Nobody answered.
“That’s strange.” I mused as we went further inside.
“There a note on the fridge.” Flo said pointing. I grab the note and read it.
“Mom went out to buy something. That’s why nobody’s here.” I said and heard Flo sneeze. “Come on I’ll let you borrow a shirt.”
I pull her towards my room. She follows me inside and looked around. My room was nothing compared to hers. It was moderate in every way. Blue walls, basic bed, a desk, a closet and a bathroom.
“I didn’t know you liked G.O.D.”She said looking at a poster, her arms around herself.
“Yeah. They’re nice.” I said handing her a towel and my nicest t-shirt. “Here. Bathroom is there.” I said pointing to a door in my room.
“Thanks.” She said taking the towel and shirt and went to the door. “Your room’s nice Kai.” She adds before closing the door.
I quickly took off my uniform and changed into jeans and a t-shirt. I was toweling my hair dry when she came out.
“I washed up a little. Your t-shirt is big.” She said amused as she twirled around to show it to me. The t-shirt fell a few inches above her knees making it look like a dress.
I didn’t know what possessed me at that moment. Maybe seeing her in my clothes, maybe it’s her slightly damp hair and clean face or maybe it’s my crazy hormones but I grab her and kiss her roughly.
She was surprised for a moment but kissed me back after a pause. Her hands went to my hair running them through it. I pull her close as her scent filled my brain. It was intoxicating.
The back of my knees hit my bed and then I was falling in it taking her with me. Her hands ran on my shoulder to my back leaving a trail of heat where she touched. My hand placed itself on the small of her back pulling her close. My lungs were screaming for air, I broke the kiss my breathing ragged as hers was. Her blue eyes were dark and inviting. Her lips parted gasping for air. I leaned down and kissed her throat.
“Where did the ‘we’ll wait’ talk go to Oppa?” She asked in a husky voice.
“Just because I said we’ll wait doesn’t mean I can’t kiss you.” I answered kissing her jaw.
“Ummhmmm..”
“Or make out.”
Flo chuckled before kissing my chin.
“Where did you learn that phrase?”
“From a movie.”
I kissed her throat again then her chin and went back to her soft lips. The t-shirt had skirted higher and so did her skirt. My hand brushed against her legs softly. She pulled away gasping for air. I was about to kiss her again when a loud noise from outside startled us both.
“Kai! Are you home?” My mother’s voice called out.
We looked at each other still catching our breath and I jumped off the bed. I look away embarrassed as Flo scooted off the bed and adjusted the t-shirt and tamed her hair. she was grinning sheepishly as a blush appeared on her face. She bit her lip trying hard not to laugh.
“Stop it.” I whispered.
“Sorry.” She said giggling. “Better answer your mom.”
“I’m here mom!” I said going out of the room.
“Oh there you are. I see someone else shoes beside yours. Is Flo here?” Mom asked.
“she’s just changing. I’m letting her borrow a shirt. The rain caught us.” I answered appearing at the kitchen and gave my mom a kiss on the cheek.
“You should have told me. I got nicer clothes.” Mom said.
“She was already cold.” I answered as she appeared at the doorway. Her hair was now in a braid and she looked more put together. My heart can’t help but skip a beat as she smiled at me. I’m so darn lucky.
“Hello Mrs. Kim.” She said and bowed to my mom.
“Flo dear! Let me look at you. I haven’t seen you for a while.” Mom said rushing to her and grasping her shoulders. “You look thinner, is my son not feeding you?”
“hey! She steals my food frequently!” I complained.
The two looked at me and laughed.
“He does well Mrs. Kim. I’m fine, it’s just the stress of studying for the exams. It’s nice to see you too.” She said giving my mom a hug.
“You’re not cold now? Jong-in get her a jacket.” Mom ordered me.
“No I’m fine.” Flo said smiling at my mom. “Thank you for the offer though.”
“I’ll just put her shirt in the dryer.” I said standing up.
“thank you.” Flo said.
“Anytime.” I answered and got out of the room. I heard Flo ask Mom if she needed any help with the cooking. The two seemed to get along just fine.
I went back to my room and grab Flo’s shirt on the floor that she had dropped when I grabbed her. My face heats up as I remember. I’m seriously going to need to control myself. I take the shirt and placed it in the dryer at the laundry room.
I went back to the kitchen after I hung it to dry at the laundry rack.
“Where’s Moggu and Kurong Kai?” Flo asked me.
“Oh they’re outside. I’ll go get them.” I said and went to retrieve my dogs at their dog house.
They came running into the house and nuzzled Flo’s feet.
“hello you two. I haven’t seen you for a while. Butter misses you.” Flo said patting the two dogs.
Soo Yun arrived a few minutes later with Gale in tow. The two were more than delighted when they saw Flo. My two elder sisters can’t come and they were very pissed that they can’t. Dad came home a bit late since he had an emergency case.
They all seem to like having Flo there. There were a few embarrassing questions but Flo handled them easily. Dad was now asking her what colleges she has received acceptance letters to.
“Oh that. I would love to study here if my parents like it but if not then it’s Cambridge for me or maybe Oxford.” Flo answered.
“Cambridge? Like Cambridge that Emma Watson goes to Cambridge?” Soo Yun asked.
“Yes. The one in London. The States is a bit too far.” Flo said.
“Dad it’s not just Cambridge and Oxford. she got accepted to Harvard, Princeton and Yale. And Yonsei and Korea University.” I inserted earning me a roll of the eyes from Flo.
“That’s a nice school Flo. You should choose that over here.” Dad said.
“It’s not the school sir it’s the student. Even if one goes to the best school but she won’t study well it will be a waste.” Flo said.
“That is an interesting thought.” Dad said smiling. “But still dear Yonsei is a good school and I’m happy to see that Jong In managed to get in.”
“Your son is quite smart if he puts his mind to it.. All of us I think got accepted into Yonsei.” Flo said smiling at me and then at dad.
“With her and Kris tutoring it was bound to happen.” I said grinning at her.
“Well I’m happy that you’re not into your gangster mode dear anymore.” Mom said patting my head.
“If it’s an Ivy League you should choose Harvard dear.” Dad said to Flo with a serious face.
They went on discussing it and other things. It was a lively dinner but it was already getting late and Flo had to go home. Soo Yun was convincing her to sleep over but Flo said she really needed to get home. Rob was already on route to fetch her. She said good bye to everyone and said she’ll come again.
We were walking slowly outside. Her hand in mine.
“Ugg I’m stuffed.” She said grinning. “I had a nice time Oppa.”
“glad you did.” I answered.
She was still wearing my shirt, saying she didn’t want to wear her damp shirt.
“I have something for you.” I said pulling out a small box.
“You’re spoiling me too much Jagiya. What is it?” she asked taking the box away from me.
“You’re not protesting?” I asked surprise.
“Nope. Don’t want to waste my breath. “she said grinning and opened the box. Inside was a necklace and bracelet set. The necklace had a simple silver chain but the charm was an intricate crescent moon pendant. The bracelet also had the same charm.
“Oppa it’s beautiful.” Flo said and I’m surprise to see her eyes watering.
“No it’s not.” I said. She looked at me confused and a little bit offended for the gift. I gently take the necklace from the box and made her turn around. I swept her hair to the side and placed the necklace on her neck. Kissing her nape on the process. I grasp her shoulders and turned her around. “Now it’s beautiful.” I said smiling.
Understand flooded her eyes and she smirked. But I can see she was happy. She silently held out her left wrist. I attached the bracelet there.
“Do you like-?
I was interrupted when she pulled the collar of my shirt and kissed me. Her hands pulling me close as I kiss her back.
“I love it but I love you more.” She said leaning against the wall breathless.
“Nope I love you more.” I said kissing the tip of her nose. “Come on we better move before someone from the other houses sees us. That will be a scandal.”
She giggled and threw her arms around me hugging me, pulling back moments later. She looked especially young and happy now. She looked up at the lamp post and giggled again.
“What’s funny?” I ask pulling her up right.
“this was the place where you first kissed me.” She said grinning.
“oh..” I said embarrassed as I remembered it.
“I’m glad you did it and you look adorable when you’re red as Rudolf’s nose.” Flo said laughing.
“Right..” I said pulling her close. “I don’t see the range rover.”
“hmm.. Rob must have been caught in traffic.” Flo said stopping at another lamppost this time on the road. “I can wait here.”
“I’ll wait with you.” I said pulling her to a bench nearby.
“This looks expensive Kai.” She said fiddling with the bracelet.
“I used up my savings..” I answered.
“What?! You should have brought me something more inexpensive.” She exclaimed.
“I can always save up again Flo and you’re worth it.” I said smoothing the crease of her brow.
“You spoil me too much.” She said hugging me and kissing me cheek. “I love you.”
“love you more.” I answered.
“I’m not returning this shirt by the way.” She said after a moment.
“What why?” I asked.
“I’m putting it on Peanut and I’ll get to smell it every time I go to sleep. Like you’re there.”
“Lucky elephant. Can’t I wear it and you hug me every night?”
“tempting Oppa.”
“I’m serious. I’ll tell my parents their son is now a stuff toy.”
“You’re being silly.”
“Then I want my shirt back.”
“I’ll buy you new one.”
“No I like this one.”
“oppa!! Please…???” she said with a puppy dog expression. I’m such a sucker for it.
“Fine fine.” I said laughing as she hugged me again. “I’ll see you tomorrow then?”
“Oh that.. Mom and Dad are coming tomorrow and we’re going to Jeju for a day. Do you want to come along?”
“I need to practice that darn grad song. Lay, Sehun and I are meeting up to do some choreography with the other dancers from the other class”
“That’s a very responsible answer Kai. I’m proud of you.” Flo said laughing.
“Don’t tease me. I might just appear at your doorstep tomorrow.”
“Do well love but please don’t dance with Lee Na Ra. I will break your legs.”
“Scary.”
“I’ll miss you.”
“Don’t start.”
She giggled at the frown on my face.
The range rover stopped in front of us and Rob rolled down the window.
“Hey love birds am I intruding? Should I go around the block again?” he teased.
“Nope.” Flo said and stood up. “I’ll see you Monday then Oppa.”
“I’ll be counting the minutes until I see you again.” I answered grinning and also stand.
“What movie did you just steal that line from?” She asked laughing and hugging me. “I love you cheesy Kim Jong-In..”
“I’ll call you later.”
“Okay. Thanks again for the dinner.”
“Anytime.” I said giving her a chaste kiss.
She pulls away and gets inside the car. I wave as I watch it speed away.

FLO POV
The planned Jeju trip did not happen since the moment Mom and Dad arrive in Korea they were besiege with invites from their old friends to meet up but they still left out dinner so they can eat at home. If Monday I was at Kai’s Tuesday he was at my house having dinner with my parents. My poor boyfie was nervous but it gradually disappeared as Dad and he warmed up to each other over their shared passion for ballet. Dad likes watching it while we all know how well Kai dances it. Mom already likes Kia due to him being Asian so it was easy charming my mother- what a charming dude my boyfriend is.
Wednesday I was at Kai’s again at the request of his mother who dropped by at school to fetch us. It was Thursday when I finally was able to cook for myself - well for myself and 13 other people. We were at the mall and buying groceries. We being Kai, Minny, Kris, Luhan, Xiumin and I. The rest had gone ahead to the apartment.
“Jong In I want to talk to you. Buy me cake will you?” Minny said and without warning dragged Kai away. He looked at us panicked as we laughed.
“ohh the dreaded best friend talk.” Xiumin said.
“Min can I-”I said but was cut off.
“No this is between me and him. We’ll text you later. Bye Oppa! We’ll be careful!” Minny said hooking her arm on Kai’s arm and dragged him away. He shot me one last look of help before surrendering to his fate.
“For a small girl Minny is quite strong.” Kris said as we watch the two disappear.
“How do you think she manages to drag me around shopping?” Luhan answered chuckling.
“Because she has you wrapped around her dainty little finger.” Xiumin answered patting Luhan’s shoulder. “So what should we do while those two talk?”
I shrug looking around.
“What do you guys want to do?” I ask. “Come to think of it this is my first time with the hyung line.”
“The what line?” Luhan asked.
“The hyung line.. Umm the oldest line.” I answered.
“Do we look that old Flo?” Xiumin asked puffing out his cheeks.
“No you two look younger then Sehun and Kai.. Strange. Well Kris is not counted. He looks ancient.” I answer and ran away from Kris who was grumbling. “Xiu Oppa Lu Oppa Kris is being mean!”
I hid myself behind Luhan and Xiumin grinning.
“Okay you two stop acting like toddlers.” Luhan said separating me from Kris who had me in a choking hook. “Kris Flo still has that wound on her neck. Be careful.”
“I do not look Ancient.” Kris grumbles but lets me go. Luhan places himself between us.
“Yeah you look prehistoric.. Like those Rhino’s you love to draw.” I said sticking out my tongue at him. He made a grab for me but I placed myself on Xiumin’s other side perfectly away from his reach. “Oh there’s a bowling alley. Can we play?”
“Winner buys dessert?” Luhan said.
“game on!” I said.
“Wolves versus Humans!” Xiumin said.
“YuLu Vs XiuFlo!” Luhan shouted.
“You two will lose!” Kris said.
“In your dreams wolf boy.” I said.
“Bring it on Brain Girl.” Kris retorted.

“Go Ummin Oppa!” I cheered as Xiumin took a ball and shot it expertly. Two pins remained. “Yes! Great shot Oppa! High five!”
He grinned and wiped his sweat while I taunted Kris. He and Luhan were on the losing side. We we’re ahead by 50 points which became less when Luhan got a strike.
“Damn Lu-ge that’s it!” Kris said whooping. “eat that Flo!”
“Yeah I’m so eating the mocha chocolate cake you’re buying when you lose.” I answered picking up a ball. It was a strike.
“Atta girl!” Xiumin said side hugging me. “Did Kai bring you bowling here?”
“Hah he always loses to me.” I said grinning. “This is way fun then with Tao and Sehun.”
“Why?” Luhan asked chuckling.
“Have you seen those two bicker? Oh god I usually buy a drink when they start and when I come they’re still at it.” I answer laughing. “But it’s still fun both parties. We should do this as a whole.”
“I second the motion.” Xiumin said. “But for now get ready to loose wolves!”
“In your dreams Minseok.” Luhan said.
In the end it was a tie much to our dismay. Minny and Kai had arrived when we were in the heat of the game and were cheering loudly.
“We should go before the boys in the apartment ransack the pantry. Suho just texted for the millionth time asking where we are.” Luhan said checking out his phone.
“I still have to make up for the loss I occurred last time.” Kai said holding my hand in his tugging me ever so deftly away from Xiumin who was taunting Luhan with our near win.. If only Minny didn’t start complaining of the time and how hungry she was. Luhan immediately stopped playing and urged us to do so. He was like putty in her hands.
“Hah! You still owe me ice cream!” I said tugging his arm over my shoulders and putting an arm on his waist.
“I think I owe you a date to Namsan Tower too.” Kai said kissing my temple.
“Ugg I feel so alone.” Xiumin said.
“Fear not Minseokie I’m here! Let’s go leave them!” Kris said and the two left us arm in arm.
We arrived to a surprisingly clean apartment all of the boys were in the game playing but the moment we entered it was like a farm with everyone getting edible food out of our hands. It took a few minutes for everyone to get organized and go up the roof top to cook Samgyupsal and go swimming in the pool if anyone wanted.
“I’m so happy everyone managed to get into Yonsei but what other schools have you guys got into?” I ask as I help Suho clean up the Lettuce.
There were a string of universities. Lay even got in a university in China.
“How about you Flo? Which will you choose?” Chen asked then realizes the land mine he had steeped on. He glances at all of us nervously.
“I have always wanted to go to Cambridge.. Mum graduated there but Dad graduated in Yonsei.. So though choice.. I should just go to fashion school with Minny.” I answered with a smile directed to Chen. “And just so you guys know I never applied for those universities abroad.”
“Then who? Principal?” Kai asked.
“Must be him and dad. I got an acceptance to MIT this morning.” I said picking up a sheaf of papers and tossing it to Kris and Sehun who looked awestruck.
“Flo that’s the number one school in the whole wide world. Forget Cambridge. This is MIT.” Sehun said.
“You can be a great Scientist Flo.” Baekhyun said.
“If I want to be a scientist.” I answered with a slight smile. “My priorities have shifted ever since I stepped in Korea.”
“What is it now?” Minny asked.
“Have fun. Be your guiena pig for your fashion experiments. Basically live like a normal teenager.” I answered grinning at her. “But well whichever the tide will flow.. Stop giving me that look guys I’m not leaving yet.”
“Yet.” Kai spat out the word like it was something disgusting.
“Soo.. Let’s change topics.” I said picking up another set of papers and tossing it to Luhan and Kris. “That is for you two. Compliments of the Institute.”
“What is this?” Kris said and pulled out a plastic card from an envelope and some papers.
“Credit card, bank account for your expenses. Those papers hold you birth certificates and other identification papers you’ll need for college. Also your own scholarship.” I answered.
“Why?” Luhan said.
“You two are- for the lack of a better word - experiments under a facility that was under the Institute rouge as it maybe. Dad had promised that you will be well taken care of hence those allowances. It will stop once you get a stable job in the future.” I explained.
“This is a bit too much..” Luhan mused as his eyes glanced over the papers. “But thank you Flo.”
“You’re welcome. Don’t worry it’s not just you.. Everyone who will wake up will have those benefits. Might as well use the Institute’s income for something good.” I answer. “And Lu, Kris do you still want to find out about your past?”
“It doesn’t matter that much to me except curiosity perhaps. If I do find family that will be great but I have all I need here Flo. This is going to sound cheesy but I consider you- all of you my family. This is the longest Kris and I have stayed in one place and you guys are the only people who have accepted us despite of what we were.” Luhan said smiling at all of us. “Thank you to all of you.”
Kris made a show of fake crying as Tao hands him some lettuce to wipe his tears.
“A toast!” Suho declared lifting a cup of soda.
“To friendship and wolves.” Suho said grinning.
“To staying together and having each other’s back.” Xiumin said raising his cup.
“To enjoying life together!” I said raising my cup smiling.
Why did I have a little flutter in my heart? I watch them raise their cups happily and yet I was not fully happy. How can I be..?? How can I be happy when I have 76 other lives on my shoulders?
To stay or not to stay?
I decided to put off thinking about it as Minny grasp my hand firmly and Kai wraps his arms around me.

Sooo.. I was thinking.. I'm going to do a special chapter in which you the readers can get to ask Flo, Kai, Kris, Minny and the rest of the gang questions. (you can also ask me some question although I don't know why you would ask me questions..hahah) I need a minimun of atleast 20 questions so I can choose, if I don't get 20 I won't do it.. :) consider this my birthday blow out to all of you. deadline for questions will be SEPTEMBER 26. Please limit the troll questions.. hahaha.
