Deku's P.O.V

Pain. Oh, so much pain. I strained to open my eyes, too weak to move my muscles.

"He.. fine.. recover." I heard voices all around me. Yet my eyes refused to open. I could only rely on my other senses. I was in so much agony, it was all I could think about. I decided to try and speak but soon realized that they only sounds I could make were tiny whimpers. Trying to speak let out a whole new wave of pain.

After what seemed like forever it started to fade and I felt a hand entwined itself around mine. They squeezed my hand in reassurance, to let me know that everything's alright... Yeah, everything's fine. I mentally yawned, letting my drowsiness get the best of me, and I fell into a deep, dreamless sleep.

>>>

I was brought back, and my eyes were able to open from my deep slumber. I was met with the bright light of the sun that broke through what looked like a window. Waves of agony, less painful than before, came crashing through me, making me whimper softly. They soon faded and I took my time to look around the room. It looked comfy, with furs of animals and comfy beds and couches spread around the area. There were shelves filled with containers, similar to the ones I used to heal Kacchan, and other herbs. Is this a medical room? I tried to sit up to get a better look but was unable to as the pain came back stronger than before. I guess I shouldn't move. I giggled but regretted it quickly when more pain washed over me.

I looked up at the ceiling, trying to recall what had happened to me. The only things I remembered, was how scared I felt once I escaped from my attacker and how I managed to make it to the momo tree. I sighed. That wasn't much to go off of.

BAM!

My head shot towards the door, however, I shouldn't have done that. How hurt was I? There, in the doorway, was Kacchan. He looked horrible, and that was saying something because he's unbelievably handsome. He had bags under his eyes and they were bloodshot, it looked like he hadn't slept for days. His hair was way messier than usual, and he wasn't wearing his cape. He rushed to my side, taking my hand and enfolding it with his, squeezing the life out of it. I winced at the pain it caused me. But I still managed to look up at Kacchan with a weary smile. He must have noticed it hurt because his expression turned to guilt, pity, and anger. Kacchan was always angry, so I wasn't surprised when I saw it in him, however, these new emotions had taken me by surprise.

"Deku.. you idiot!" He shouted as tears filled his angry eyes. They softened as he heard me giggle, which might I add, hurt a lot. It hurt so bad to the point where I had to remove my hand from his gentle grasp to hold my side that was covered in bandages.

"Ouch," I managed to squeak.

"You're an idiot," He announced, again. A sad smile tugged at his lips, but it was soon replaced with a smug smirk.

We stared into each other's eyes for a few moments before I whispered, "how long have I been asleep?"

"Three whole fuckin' days," he replied.

I looked at those ruby red eyes only to see loneliness filling his beautiful orbs. He showed so much emotion in those eyes that I hadn't noticed before. I looked up at the ceiling in disbelief. Three days.. Then realization hit me like a hammer, what about my mother?! I sat upright, ignoring the pain, worry filling my gut.

"What.. What the fuck do you think you're doing?" He yelled as I tried to get out of bed. He grabbed my forearms and pinned me down, not holding as tight as he would have since he didn't want to hurt me.

"DEKU!"

"My mother!" I managed to say through gritted teeth, not bothering to struggle out of his grasp any longer since he was far stronger than I was, even when I wasn't hurt.

Kacchan froze for a split second, then forced me to lay down before whispering, "Deku, you need to rest." I fought back once again. My mother is probably scared to death. She probably thinks I was killed by those League of Villains!

"Kacchan, please, I need to let my mom know I'm okay," I whispered through small sobs. Kacchan pushed my wrists down on either side of my head pinning me down, again, before resting his head against my chest.

"Deku, I don't want you to get more hurt than you already are." He pleaded. He never does that. Who is this? No swearing either, what? Is this even Kacchan? I've only known him for a bit, but it feels like I've known him for years. I blushed faintly when I realized the position we were in.

Izuku Midoryia, there is a time and place to think like this, and now is not either of them. I mentally slapped myself before focusing my attention back to the problem at hand.

"You little fucker," I heard Kacchan mumble before he looked up to meet my dull green orbs. He opened his mouth to speak but closed it and thought for a minute. Moments went by before he opened his mouth again, "we will let your mother know you're safe." he assured me with his usual glare.

"We?" I asked, puzzled. Are there more people here? He stood up, chuckling, and sat on the edge of the bed.

I propped myself up against the wall behind me and waited for a response, my question was soon answered by loud yells coming from the other side of the walls, "yeah, I call them the pack," he smiled at me tiredly, and I couldn't help but think it was because of me.

I glanced down at my shaky hands, working up the courage to say, "I'm sorry," guilt built up in my stomach making tears brim the sides of my eyes. A tear managed to spill from my eyes, making Kacchan brush his thumb across my cheek, wiping away they rebellious tear. My green eyes gradually made their way to his confused red ones.

"Why the fuck are you apologizing?" He asked, not once breaking eye contact. I stared back at him a little while longer before a river of tears escaped my eyes, surprising Kacchan even more.

"I-I made.. you worry.. and I-I'm taking up space in.... yo-your home, and I'm.. probably making this.. really hard for you," I sobbed, squeezing Kacchan's hand for support. Kacchan's expression changed to pure confusion. I looked down in embarrassment, not wanting Kacchan to see me like this. He lifted my chin so our eyes met once again.

"It's true that you worried the shit out of me, hell, I didn't sleep for three days straight," he breathed before continuing his ranting, "but please don't apologize," he looked at me with his handsome, pleading eyes, and I couldn't help but fall for him all over again. I nodded, smiling at him while the last of my tears fell. I noticed that we were very close to each other, just inches away. A small blush started to form across my cheeks. Kacchan's eyes switched to a more serious look while he started to move closer, my cheeks started to heat up with every passing moment, until we heard someone's laugh just on the other side of the door. Making Kacchan stand up and fix his clothes at a godly speed.

"Hey, he's awake!" A guy with spiky, red hair and a sharked toothed smile yelled as he waved the others over. He walked up to me, putting his hand out, introducing himself, "I'm Eijiro Kirishima!" He smiled brightly. I was going to shake his hand shyly but before I could, a wave of more people came in, scaring me.

"Ey! He's awake, I'm Denki Kaminari," a guy with a black lightning bolt symbol in his hair greeted me.

"Momo Yauyorozu," a girl with black hair tied up in a ponytail bowed to me.

"..Fumikage Tokoyami," he closed his eyes and nodded to me as a greeting, was he a.. bird?

"I'm Mina Ashido, I'm the person who healed yo-" The pink-skinned girl was cut off by a someone, "Hanta Sero! Nice to meet ya, you looked pretty beat, glad you're okay!" He chuckled as the girl called Mina pouted and punched him in the arm.

"Hello, I'm Tenya Iida, pleased to meet you," he moved his arms in a robotic motion. But was soon stopped when a bubbly looking girl put her hands on his forearm.

"Sorry if he scared you, I'm Ochaco Uraraka!"

"Kyoka Jiro," a girl with odd looking ears smiled at me and I shyly smiled back at her.

"Mezo Shoji."

"Tsuyu Asui, ribbit."

I'm not gonna lie, it was terrifying when everyone barged in and started to introduce themselves. I was getting a little overwhelmed until Kacchan came to save the day, "alright shitty losers, get out. He needs to rest."

He started to push them out of the room while threatening to blow them up if they didn't. He then walked out with everyone else. I thought he was left until I saw his head poke back in,  "I'll be back, stay put," and with that, he closed the door. It was silent for a while, it was peaceful. Until I heard Kacchan start yelling and screaming at everyone. A giggle escaped my lips as I looked down at my hands.

The conversation that Kacchan and I had before it was interrupted crossed my mind. I suddenly remembered how close we were, and my face turned as red as a strawberry just thinking about it. Was he going to kiss me? The thought was pushed out of my mind as I thought of how impossible it was. Stop jumping to silly conclusions, he doesn't like you.

I mentally shook the negative thoughts out of my mind and remained hopeful.

I was interrupted by Kacchan scaring me to death, "what are you fucking thinking about, shitty Deku?" He growled, walking into the room and carrying food. Maybe I shouldn't be too hopeful. I giggled innocently before saying, "oh, just thinking about you," I let it sink in, hesitating and teasing him before I finished my sentence, "thanks Kacchan.. for saving me," I smiled the biggest and brightest smile that I could muster in my weakened state.

"You're my hero, Kacchan!"
