"I think of the night in the park, it
was getting dark
And we stayed up for hours
What a time, what a time, what a time
You clinged to my body like you
wanted it forever"

-Julia Michaels

I rolled my eyes taking a step away from him, hiding my ginormous smile behind my thick main of hair, he grabbed my hand, intertwining his fingers with mine, swinging me back into him.

My back was firmly pressed against his chest, his arm drooping over my shoulder as he held my hand with his. He lifts his hand up twisting it around, so I did a twirl.

"You really are an angel," he murmured, staring at me, his emerald green orbs staring at me with such passion, igniting a flame within me.

His stare was so strong, so intimidating.

I giggled, my cheeks heating up, "You really are a devil."

He smirked, rolling his eyes, "Only for you, baby." He flirted.

He released my hand from his, walking around me to sit on the swing, his body only just fitting, his long legs planted on the overgrown grass below him.

I observed him as he sat on the swing, both his hands on either side of the rope, his leather jacket glistening from the moonlight, the metal buckles shining even more then usual. I couldn't help but smile at those little red devil ears on his forehead.

"C'mere," he said, patting his thighs.

I bit my lip nervously, slipping the white, feathered angel wings off my shoulders, dropping them on the grass before walking over to him, placing myself between his legs. He placed his large hands on my hips, twisting me around before pulling me onto his lap.

I grinned as my feet lifted off the ground, no longer being anyone near close to the ground since I was sitting on Grayson.

His black converse scuffed against the ground as he gave us a light push, sending us gently swinging back and forth, lifting my converse clad feet up in the air as we swung.

If it wasn't for his left arm firmly wrapped around my waist, I would've fallen off. He made me feel as light as a feather.

Suddenly he pushed us harder, sending us soaring up into the air, a small squeal followed by a giggle being released from my lips as my hair blew forward then backwards in the wind.

We went on like this--for what seemed like hours, but in reality, was probably ten or twenty minutes—swinging back and forth, his long, jean clad legs swinging us up in the air, his arm remaining around me the whole time.

It felt like one of those scenes in the movies, the ones where everything is in slow motion, you can see every flicker of emotion on the characters faces as they do whatever they're doing. It's like one of those scenes you always thought were unrealistic and it kind of made your heart ache a little in jealousy.

I'm sure if this moment between Grayson and I was on a movie, being replayed exactly how it was right now, you'd see the gigantic smile on my face, the way I threw my hair swooshes around, the way Grayson stared down at me with gleaming orbs.

You'd be able to see the magnetic pull between us, the way we're so naturally drawn together, our undeniable connection.

Unfortunately, though, this wasn't some romance movie and we most definitely weren't in slow motion, it was my brothers eighteenth birthday and I'm sitting on a swing with my boyfriend, his best friend.

"You should get back inside," I told Grayson as we slowed down, "Your cousin is probably wondering where you are. . and your best friend."

He placed his feet against the ground, bringing us to an abrupt holt, sending me flying forward, his arm keeping me from completely falling off.

We were now still. I smiled down at my legs, noticing how they dangled in between Grayson's, they looked so tiny compared to his, mine were so short and pale.

"But I wanna stay here with you," he mumbled, sounding like a baby.

He crooked his neck, his nose tickling the skin on the curve that extends from my shoulder to my neck, his bottom lip softly teasing my sensitive skin before he placed a soft kiss, nuzzling his head into my neck like he was cold, and I was his only source of warmth.

I giggled softly, "Stop,"

"Nah," he laughed, "I probably should get inside, even though I'd rather take you up to your room, bend you over and—"

"—My ears!" I said loudly, covering my ears with my hands, feeling his chest rumble with laughter.

How did I, such an innocent, seventeen year old, end up with such a dirty minded, sex addicted quarterback?

I scooted forward on his lap, hearing him groan as I did so, before only just placing my feet against the grass, pulling myself to my feet so I was no longer seating, walking over to where I had placed my wings before picking them up and holding them under my shoulder.

I didn't care to but them back on, the string which kept them on my body had been digging into my skin from the moment I put them on and I'm pretty sure I have several red lines marked into my back and shoulders.

He got up as soon as I did, "You go in first, I'll be in soon." He said huskily as he walked me to my back door.

"Are you sure?" I asked warily.

He nodded, his so effortless yet attractively styled hair, drooping over his forehead, creating a shadow across is tanned skin, making his eyes look deeper and more mysterious underneath the moonlight.

He nodded, sucking his plump bottom lip between his teeth, "Yeah, I'll be in soon." He said bluntly.

I stared at him weirdly before nodding, turning on my heel and heading inside. The atmosphere in this house currently, was overwhelming—in a good way of course.

As soon as I entered the living room, I saw Shawn, Avery and Cam seated comfortably on the couch, all sipping on their own alcoholic beverage, staring at the pair in front of them with amused expressions on their faces.

Caleb and Taylor were both standing in front of the couch, each not talking, barely making a sound as they did weird things with their arms and legs.

If I didn't know how immature my brother was, I'd think he and Taylor were having a seizure of some sort or had ants in their pants, though I do know how immature he is and I know how weird Taylor is, which is why I immediately knew they were playing charades.

Caleb had two arms up in the air as he bent his legs, jumping up and down whilst Taylor was pretending she was holding something, peeling it by the looks of it.

"I don't know, a crab?" Shawn asked, scratching the back of his neck as he screwed his face up with confusion.

Caleb groaned, glaring at Shawn before repeating the same actions, his arms waving in all directions and Taylor seemed to be doing the exact same motions on repeat.

"A monkey?" I asked amused, leaning against the wall across from them.

Caleb sighed, cheering loudly, "Finally!"

I laughed pushing myself off the wall, walking over to where my friends were seated, before seating myself on the arm of the couch.

"There's no way a monkey does that!" Cam exclaimed, "And what the fuck was Taylor doing?"

Taylor opened her mouth, her eyebrows furrowing as she scowled at Cam.

"I was peeling a banana, that's what monkeys do,"

Cam rolled her eyes, not bothering to say another word, her expression said it all.

Avery stood up, "Cammy, do you want another drink?" She asked, blinking flirtatiously at her.

Am I missing something?

Cam smiled warmly, nodding, "Yes please,"

Shawn looked at Cam, then back to Avery, then back to Cam and so on.

"Am I missing something?" he said, speaking my thoughts.

Avery blushed, her red cheeks being extremely noticeable, though Cam seemed completely unfazed.

Avery scurried off to the kitchen, not speaking another word when it suddenly clicked, call me slow or oblivious, because I didn't notice before but they're crushing on each other, aw.

I wasn't aware Avery was bisexual or maybe she's pansexual, who knows but we stan equality here, so I'm happy for her, for both of them if they like each other. I think it's cute.

Unexpected but adorable, nonetheless.

"Where's Grayson?" Caleb asked, taking a sip of his beer.

My eyes widened, "Where's Grayson?" I repeated, he nodded, looking at me weirdly, "I'm not sure, I think his mom called him or something."

I tried to seem careless, like I didn't know what I was talking about, but I think Caleb only just bought it.

My eyes directed to Grayson's cousin, Ryder, whom was standing in the corner, a beer in his hand as he wrapped his arm around Flo with--who I'm assuming is his best friend--Alex standing next to him.

Flo seemed bored, her eyes were droopy, and she looked like she was fighting to stay awake. Alex seemed excited by everything, anything that moved or made a sound seemed to catch his attention whilst Ryder looked like a mix of Flo and Alex, he seemed tired but not so much bored.

Should I be polite and go talk to them? No, I'm too antisocial, I barely know how to speak without making a fool out of myself.

Don't be rude, go say hi. Fine, if you insist.

Wow, I'm literally internally arguing with myself, if that doesn't prove how low my social skills are, I don't know what does.

I slowly walked over to them, literally having to drag myself over there until I was standing in front of them.

"Hi," I said awkwardly.

Ryder smirked, "Hello," he greeted.

Alex finally noticed me standing there, a cheeky grin appearing on his lips when he saw me.

"And who are you?" he flirted. Oh no.

Flo decided it'd be a great time to save me from this conversation which was already turning awkward so easily.

"So," She drawled, "Do you two know each other?" she asked, point to me and Ryder, her boyfriend.

My eyes widened before I nodded slowly, about to speak when Ryder cut me off.

"We met briefly a few months ago at the diner, she works there." He explained, probably not wanting her to know about the flirting part.

I nodded, agreeing with him, "Yeah he was really nice to me the first time I met him," I said, stifling a laugh when I saw both Ryder and Flo's eyes widen.

Flo raised an eyebrow, "He was?" she asked, not seeming to believe me.

He can't be that mean, can he?

"By nice, she means I gave her a tip." He rushed.

Alex decided now would be a great time to butt in, "I think by nice she means he tried—"

"—Alex, stop talking." Ryder snapped, Alex cowering away in fright.

I couldn't help but feel bad as his hazel eyes widening as he held his hands up in surrender.

Flo scoffed, "Alex, let's go get a drink." She said, grabbing Alex's arm, pulling him in the direction of the kitchen.

"Was that my fault or yours?" I asked, watching their retreating figures.

Ryder chuckled, leaning back against the wall, his white shirt tightening around his toned chest.

"I think it was a bit of both," he said nonchalantly.

I bit my lip, suddenly feeling slightly guilty, "Sorry,"

"Nah," he shook his head, "We weren't in a relationship when I was nice to you in the diner, things changed, we were both just going through something." He explained.

I gave him a sympathetic smile, "You're really cute together," I said honestly.

His eyes lit up at the compliment, "Thanks," he said bluntly, "I really love her, man."

I couldn't help but admire the way he speaks about her, like he doesn't even need to process what he's saying, it just comes out naturally. I picture him to be one of those guys that go on and on about their significant other.

"Love who?" I heard his voice. Gray's voice.

He suddenly wrapped his arm around my waist, pulling me into his side possessively. I immediately wriggled, trying to get rid of his arm, shooting him a glare.

Flo and Alex finally returned, with their drinks, Ryder immediately grabbed Flo, not being able to keep his hands of her, Alex was the third wheel and I felt extremely sorry for him.

"Well, we should probably get going," Ryder said as he checked the time on his phone.

"Is Grayson driving you?" I asked, not trying to sound nosy but I just wasn't quite ready for him to leave yet.

Ryder shook his head, running a hand through his dark brown hair, "Nah, I drove here in my car."

I nodded in understanding, he must've followed Grayson here.

After that, he, Flo and Alex all bid their goodbyes, wishing Caleb a happy birthday before leaving. I'm pretty sure all Caleb's other friends left ages ago too, so it was now just me, Taylor, Avery, Shawn, Cam and Grayson, of course.

The next few hours were spent playing various games, mainly ones that made Caleb seem like a complete idiot, we all laughed, told jokes and shared stories, until it was extremely late, and we realised everyone had been drinking and was unable to drive.

Caleb and I both went upstairs, opening the cupboard in the hallway, pulling out the extremely unhealthy number of blankets we have, a few sleeping bags and all the spare pillows before bringing them down.

We all pushed the large L-shaped couch back, grabbing blankets, sleeping bags and pillows, all setting our own beds up.

I made my bed on the long end of the couch, Grayson purposely set his bed up on the middle part of the couch so his head would be right next to mine, but his body would be facing the other way and the birthday boy, Caleb, set his bed up on the floor, making sure he took almost all the blankets.

Avery and Cam grabbed a sleeping bag each, placing them down on the floor next to each other with a pillow then next to them was Shawn who was already almost asleep, then next to him was Caleb and Taylor, both keeping a decent amount of distance, though it was difficult to have any distance when there were this many people in my not so large living room.

All the lights were off, the smell of vodka lingering, and we were all in our make-shift beds comfortably.

"Considering I'm on the floor, this is extremely comfortable." Caleb said.

Shawn snored in approval, already out like a light.

We all laughed in unison.

It felt like I was living the childhood I never had in this current moment, I always dreamt of having a huge sleepover with my friends when I was younger, though I only ever had one friend and I was usually too shy to have any other friends.

Though right now I was in the living room with my four best friends, my boyfriend and my brother.

"Hey, guys?" Caleb said.

"What?" we all asked in annoyance.

He giggled, "How do you make a tissue dance?" he asked.

"How, Caleb?" I sighed.

"You put a little boogie in it!" he said, bursting out into a fit of laughter.

I tried not to laugh because of how stupid he is but I couldn't help myself, and by the sounds of it, no one else could either, even Grayson.

Many stupid jokes later, and I'm pretty sure everyone was asleep, it was dead silent, and nothing could be heard but heavy breathing and the loud snores coming from Shawn and Caleb.

I was staring up at the ceiling, unable to sleep, I was wide awake, I think I was just over tired.

Maybe I couldn't sleep because I was still wearing a skirt and a crop top and it wasn't comfortable enough, Shawn's lucky he wore a onesie.

I wish this couch was bigger so I could cuddle Gray. I wish that my brother knew about us so I could do it all night and not have to break a part before he sees.

"Pstt," Grayson whispered, "Are you awake?" he asked.

"Yeah,"

He put his arm back, reaching out to grab mine, intertwining it with his, rubbing my hand with his thumb.

"Gray?" I whispered.

He laughed quietly, "Yeah?"

"I miss you."

He laughed once again, "I'm right here."

I bit my lip, "I know but you're not close enough, I need your arms around me."

I didn't have to see him to know there was an enormous smile on his lips right now.

Suddenly, I felt a pair of strong arms being placed underneath me, lifting me up and off the couch, I placed my hand over my mouth to muffle the squeal which erupted from my lips when I looked up to see Grayson's handsome face.

He walked me over to the stairs before walking up them, carefully opening my door well still holding me, walking into my lovely room.

It felt like I hadn't been here in ages when in reality it's only been hours, he walked us over to my as always, unmade bed, placing me on top of my soft duvet.

He plopped himself down next to me, wrapping an arm around my waist, pulling me into him so my back was against his front.

"What're you doing?" I mumbled.

"You said you wanted my arms around you," he said, his voice raspy and deep.

I smiled, "Oh, yeah."

"You know. . ." he drawled, "I wasn't lying about what I said earlier."

I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion, "What?"

"Bend over."
