"For the last time, we do not offer those services today." Milla tried to explain to the stuck up old lady in front of her.

"But my son says you only offer the service today, and I only have time today." The lady argues with Milla even more.

"Does your son work here?" Milla sighs frustrated.

"How disrespectful! You think MY son will work in place like THIS." She huffs in annoyance causing Milla to roll her eyes.

"I'd take that as no." Milla whispers to herself. "But still, the Malaysian massages are not available on Tuesdays, only Sunday nights, 7:30 -10:00." She glares at the lady hoping she'd just fuck off.

"Well... it seems like I'd have to cancel book club this week, quiet unfortunate. Oh, oh...I can just bring book club here for a relaxing evening." She claps her had in content, Millas about to burst her bubble of hope. "How much is it I'd like to pay in advance?" She gets her purse out.

"For how many people?" Milla asks.

"Nine people." She gets her card out and stretches it to Milla who didn't take it just yet.

"Ooo... sorry we only have a spot for one person, the other spots are fully booked" Milla smirks at the woman's annoying face.

"That won't matter, I'll pay tipple, even pay six times the average price." She winks at Milla who just raises an eyebrow at her.

"We don't do that here. Is there anything else I can help you with? I have shit to get to," Milla asks the woman while signing out of the system , taking her badge off and finalizing the reservations she's made that day.

"I am not done with you. I'd like you to book me for next week, or let me pay for a home service Malaysian massage." She glares at Millas even more.

"Sorry I'm closed, go to the next counter to book that." Milla shutdown the computer and puts a 'out bound, go to next available person' sign. " Or you can wait for the person with the next shift to arrive," She states finally and walks into the staff room. She gathers her belongings, swipes her time card at the exit, then heads to the train station.

It's a two hour train ride from the major city, Pylma, and the out skirts where she lived. Pylma is a busy place, filled with workers with hopes to someday live at the centre of Pylma, in the grand place of the wealthiest, Heavens Gate. The leaders and anybody who's anybody all live in Heavens Gate, While people like Milla have to live in the outskirts of Pylma, also known as Nyar, which is not half as exclusive as Pylma.

Republic of Dankarter, the country Milla lives in, has Six major cities; Dineriro, Estagone, Eryl, Pylma, Taurus and Hymore.

She gets to the train station, buys her ticket and gets on the train. She usually hopes no one sits beside her on the train, she usually doesn't get that luxury. How could she? This was the only train that went from Pylma to Nyar. The train only made two journeys a day, One at 5:30 am taking people in Nyar to Pylma and the other at 6:33 pm taking people in Pylma back to Nyar. It's the only rout joining Nyar and Pylma. If one misses the morning train they can't enter Pylma that day, and you miss the evening train you can't get to Nyar till the next evening. If a resident of Nyar misses the evening train they have to find a place to stay at Pylma, no one is allowed to stay at the train station over night, best bet is to just not miss a train. Some have to spend all their money at a Pylma hotel or stay in the forest outside Pylmar.

Milla never missed the train, ever. Shes was always on time each day. She was on time only because she hated the city of Pylma, she hated the ingenuity of it. She worked here because the jobs at Nyar don't pay reasonable money and she hates the people of Nyar even more. Ironically, unlike most people from Nyar, she was born in the city of Hymore. She is the first child of Esme Randel and Eton Randel. Her parents weren't exactly the wealthiest at that time also, but they knew the current Ríkisstjóri (Governor) of Hymore. So they were given a house and some monthly allowance. When Milla was just two they had to move to Nyar when the Ríkisstjóri (Governor) lost interest in helping them. Milla takes her parents for fools for not saving and investing at Hymore, for plainly relying on the Ríkisstjóri. They moved to Nyar while Esme was pregnant. Nyar was the only place they could afford.

They moved to Nyar and had their second child, Jude-eldur . A year and a half later they had their last child and son, Christian-Auðmjúkur. Milla hated all her and her siblings names, she didn't get the point of it. She hated hers the most, Melina-Jane Randle. She's named after the woman who devised the separation of the people into cities. She's is idolized even in death, Milla hates that ideology so much. She hated how someone who only created divide and made the rich the only ones relevant is worshipped, mostly by the poor she caused pain.

To Millas demise a girl sat beside her, all she could do now is hope the girl doesn't try to make small talk with her. Milla brought out a book filled with poems, today's she decided to read and meditate on the poem 'Shall I compare the to a summer day'. Three lines into the poem she was interrupted.

"Hi I'm Elma, Where ya headed?" The girl asked Milla. Milla was irritated by that question, by how stupid the girl was. The train only has one destination this evening, it's going back to Nyar.

Milla just looks at the girl and back at her book, she finds it degrading to talk to people with such a low IQ.

"Oh yeah, this train only has one destination. Well...what's your name? maybe I know you from Nyar." She move closer to Milla, trying to look at what she's reading.

Milla grabs Elmas head and pushes it back with so much force, Elma falls off her chair. Elma cries when she hits the floor, Milla just ignores her and continues her poem. Elma starts to yell at her, the train moves and Elma falls again. Usually an incident like this is meant to draw attention, but minding your business on the train is a social skill you'll have to learn.

Elma gets frustrated and walks away while Milla just rolls her eyes and continues her poem.

Another person sits beside her after Elma stomps away, she actually knew this person, he leaves on the same street as her. They have never spoken before but she knows more about him than the average person. She knows he's forty-two and works as a receptionist at a Dentist clinic. She knows he's lived alone for the past year, he's wife and kids left him when a man from Heavens Gate took liking in them . She knows he gets paid §59.2 each week. She knows the clothes he wears every week. She knows what he loves to eat. She knows he's Nyar Card number.

She knows all this only because she's observant and is cursed with the ability to not forget even the littlest things. She actually hates the man just the way she hates everyone in Nyar. She hates how they blindly follow suit to the rules the Pylmans (someone from Pylma) lay for them. She mostly hates how they idolize Pylmans, she thinks they're stupid for doing such. It angers her how they have gotten used to suffering, it seems like a norm. It's not only Plyma, all the cities are the same.

After what seems like the shortest train ride she'd ever had, the train comes to a stop. If she took a cab from the train station home it would be a 12 minute drive and would cost her §15.00. If she walked it would take her about thirty minutes to get home. She was already irritated and walking ment she'd have to see the irritating faces of her neighbors. Which would it be?

She paid the cab driver and went inside. She noticed her brothers shoes at the entrance signifying they were back from school. She just goes straight to her room, which was down at the basement, sits on the bed a continues her book of poems. She was engrossed in her poems until she hears the oh so annoying voice of her brother, Jude-eldur.

"Milla." He yells, she ignores him hoping he'll just go away.

"Milla." He yells louder this time.

"Milla, best answer because I'll pester you till you do." He yells more.

She slams her book shot and goes upstairs to see her brother at her door.

"What do you want, Jude?" She glares at him.

"I am hungry, make me food, please Milla." He smiles at her, she only gets that smile when he wants something.

"No." She slams the door in he's face and locks it.

"Milla come on." He yells banging at the
door.

After a couple of minutes he gives up and walks away after calling her a bitch.

She reads more and more poems until she's interrupted again, but this time by her mother.

"Melina-Jane." Her mom yells.

She sighs closing her book and walks to the kitchen. She sees her mom and her brothers talking when she gets there, when they notice her they hush up.

"Melina-Jane, your brother tells me he begged you to make him a snack and you plainly said no, for no reason" her mom puts her hands on her waist. Milla gets irritated even more by the sound of her full name. She hated being named after a stupid woman.

"Milla, not Melina." she corrects her mom walking to the refrigerator, pouring herself a glass of water.

"Your name is Melina-Jane, and you better get used to hearing it, and I don't want to hear anything about your hate for the woman and her name." Her mom scolds, in return Milla rolls her eyes.

"Whatever." She mumbles while drinking her water.

"Melina, next time I'm out, I'll say this for the last time, make something for your brothers to eat." Her mom takes the glass from Milla and stares at her angrily.

"I don't know why Jude can't make his own food, he's seventeen. If he can't even warm leftovers, he's as useless as he looks." She says while side stepping her mom, going to the cabinet and getting a cookie from the jar.

"Melina." Her mom yells and her brother looks so angry.

"I am not useless. It's your job to cook for Christian and I when you are home." He yells at her.

"No it's not. I've had a long day at work, last thing I need is to spoon feed you, dumbass." She takes the first bite of her cookie.

"We've also had a long day at school." Christian mumbles.

"Mom, if that's all I'm going to ma room." She ignores him and turns to her mom.

"Be up in a few for dinner." Her mom responds.

She walks to her room and closes the door. She hears her brother complaining to her mom about how she never does anything when Milla does things.

Milla picks up her book and is again engrossed in her poems. She reads two more poems and decided to go upstairs to check on dinner. She gets up and sees her dad in the kitchen talking to her mom. She just walks by them, going to the refrigerator to get herself some kool aid. Immediately she opens the fridge her dad slams it shut.

"No hello? Or hi? Just walk by me like I'm too unimportant to acknowledge? Can't open your mouth to greet?" Her father yells at her glaring at her with so much anger.

"Are you done?" She asked lazily walking around him, opening a cupboard checking for the novel she kept there. Her father was ignorant and inattentive on a normal day, she knew he barely knew shit about his kids, she chose to ignore him because he wasn't worth acknowledging.

"Milla, one of these days your father will belt that ass of yours." Her mother speaks this time while her father just walks away in anger.

"He'd loose some limbs while trying." She threatens back. She finds the novel she kept in the cupboard, sits down by the island and continues were she stops.

"You know all he did was correct you, why do you have to be so rude all the time?" Her mom says while stirring the food she's cooking. Milla ignores her, finding her book more interesting than the conversation.

Her mom just sighs frustratedly. Thirty minutes pass and her mom starts dishing dinner and setting up the table.

"Melina go tell your brothers and your dad dinner is ready." Her mom asks.

"Jude, Christian, Dad. Come down for dinner." Milla yells.

"I told you to go tell them not yell for them." Her mom scolds.

They come downstairs and get sitted at the table.

"Melina please say grace." Her mom smiles at Milla.

"Nope." She pops the 'p' and just folds her arms.

"Melina do grace, now!" Her dad speaks up, yelling at her.

"Um..it's okay dad, I'll do grace." Christian says.

"Hold hands and eyes closed." Her mom instructs. The all hold hands, Milla hold her two brothers hands reluctantly.

"Lord thank you for this meal,
Thank you for sustaining us,
And bless the hands that made them." Christian says and everyone except Milla says amen.

"So, Jude and Christian, how was school?" Esme (mom) starts a conversation.

"It was okay. But the walks home are pretty tiring." Christian answers, hinting that they wanted to start collecting transport money.

"It's a good walk, it's good for the heart. And § 20.50 for transport is a luxury we can't afford at the moment." Their dad reply's while holding a spoon filled with food close to his mouth.

"But that's not fair! Milla has transport money, she takes a cab often." Jude whines.

"It's my money so I can spend it how I choose. If I want to spend all my cash on cabs, it's my choice." She glares at his snitching ass.

"Even if it's your money that doesn't mean you should waste it. If you walk you save yourself § 15.00. No more cabs, just walks." Her dad comments.

"Still don't see how this is any of anyone's business. I'll take a damn cab if I freaking want to." She raises her voice a little.

"Watch the way you speak to me, Melina. If I hear about you taking cabs again, I'm taking your paycheck, you'll only get lunch money." He threatens.

"I'd like to see you try. And lets not be hypocrites, you all buy things we dont have luxury for. Dad, you go to pubs for beer which cost you § 30.00 every week. I'm sure you can do with out the luxury of beer. And mom buys all those new wigs which cost as much as § 45.00 for each. And Christian buys a lot of action figures, while Jude takes girls on dates each week, waste of money. Since we all want to snitch, let it all be in the open." She finishes and everyone goes quiet.

Milla finishes her meal first, takes her dish to the sink and goes to her room. She's so irritated she can't find it in her to Finnish her book, she goes to bed.
